Forgot to put
salt in the coffee this morning. It did make it taste a bit strange.
It was kind of satisfying when cooking the steak this morning as I
was able to get the strip steak to stand up on it's side. Online I've
seen people post pictures of their steak standing up and they say
that it's good to do that to make the steak cook on all sides. Not
that I think it's bad to only cook it on the two sides. But eh, if I
can get it to cook all of the way around all of the better right? I'm pretty sure that was the last of the steaks. I do have bacon for tomorrow, I'm going to have to get more bacon on Tuesday when I get groceries.
I set the printer to print the front bottom of the left shin. The bottom calf was a part that I had from when I was printing years ago. I'm planning on printing the rest of the lower leg part tomorrow. I'll have to cut the knee a bit so I'll technically be printing three parts in one day, but it's the last day of the month so it should be fine. Someone at work asked me how many parts it'll be and how long it'll take to print everything. And that is a legitimate question. But I don't have an answer for that. I just said, quite a few and quite a while. Hopefully I can get some of this gut off before I get around to printing the torso. And the thighs are going to need some work as well.
Added a hand full of cheese into the cheesy chicken chili because extra cheese is always good to me. I'm out of Sugar Free Monster Energy, so I picked up a couple of Sugar Free Red Bulls as they are on sale for Buy 2 Get 1 Free for $2 each (not sponsored)
The second half of work I developed a bit of a headache. This has been happening over the last couple of days. The headaches don't get strong enough to cause much distraction, just like a bit of annoying background noise.
Later in the evening at work the manager said that if there was anybody standing around needing anything to do the person that was supposed to work in dairy called in for the next couple of days. And as they only scheduled one cashier, one person in customer service, and the one person running self checkout I went back to help. The manager had me work on stocking cheese and I kind of chuckled had the thought of me being in charge of the cheese. Like asking a cat to count mice. But a couple of annoying things happened first the cheese all come in boxes that have blue bottom halves that you tear off the top half to put the box onto the shelf and I noticed that my hands were all blue after working with the boxes for only a few minutes.
The other annoying thing was that a customer came by and told me that there were absolutely no carts available in the lobby. I was kind of stunned by this because it really wasn't that busy. I went up front and the carryout was just hanging out at the front desk. Please forgive the rant, but there was a time when we really didn't run out of carts. At one point if there weren't any carts in the lobby it would mean that they were all in the store. Along with the entire population of North America and everybody would be yelling at me because they had to wait their turn. But these days I have to tell the carry out to go get carts. You need to go get carts. Please go out and do your job. And the infuriating thing is that when I told him that there weren't any carts in the lobby he just said, “Yeah, I know.” You know? You know you aren't doing your job? I know that as a supervisor I need to make sure that they're doing their job, but the step by step babysitting is getting really old.
I did feel sorry for a guy that came in with a complaint. He said that he had just gotten out of jail and that his friend of his had cashed one of his checks while he was in jail. And she was gone with his money. There was a bit of confusion because he was insisting that he was in jail since September and he had print offs of the check copies that he got from his bank of the checks being cashed in September. He had said that his friend used to work for the store, but she was using his Social Security number to get the job so he wasn't even getting the paychecks. Which I don't understand how that would work. I really don't think you're supposed to use other people's numbers to get jobs, that sounds shady as hell. And the copy of the check had "his" signature and a ladies name signed on the back of the check. He insisted that he didn't give her permission to cash his checks and it wouldn't have mattered because you aren't supposed to cash other people's checks. If you want a check cashed, you have to come in to cash it. You can't sign it and send your buddy in to cash it. If someone comes in saying, "Hey, this is my friends check, can you cash it?" That's supposed to be a pretty hard no. But once the check is cashed, there's nothing that we could at the store level, he has to contact the police, and he said that the police sent him to the store to get a some kind of check cashing affidavit. Neither I nor the management knew what he was talking about there. But I heavily suggested that he contact a lawyer. Because it really sounds like he needs to get a lawyer.
