Irritated After Working Out Daily Keto/Sobriety Blog January 26, 2024

I do have to say using those weight machines were very satisfying. It was also nice to hang out with Mom in an activity that she enjoys so much. It is somewhat of an entertaining thought that my mother is becoming a gym rat. I'm going to have to do some research on how lifting weights effect someone mentally. As I was leaving the gym I was feeling like I was drunk. But by the time I got to work I felt normal PHYSICALLY . But there was something going on with my mind and spirit. Because, WOW people were extra irritating today.  I'm going to make a really long, “Mark Whines About Work Blog” But these are just a few examples of what I had to deal with. These are kind

A Late Post "Daily" Keto/Sobriety Blog December 6, 2023

And today would be really easy to make it a “Mark Whines About Work” blog. I had a lot of interactions that would have made good additions to the To Do list on Store Stories, but a lot of them were things that are already on there, the strange thing is that the list I've compiled over a decade or two is having so many examples in this last week or so. It's also strange that so many people are so Goddamned pissy. Which leads to the question as to if it's everybody around me or is it me projecting on everybody around me. Usually when I drop off on posting on the blog it means that I've fallen off the wagon again, but

The lady who was scheduled to work 7 to 4 today had a funeral to go to so I traded her Monday for my Friday. I'm not crazy about waking up early (And yes waking up at 6am to get ready for work is early for me) but I was able to get up and get ready for work. I do want to start waking up earlier, but haven't been very good at it. I am kind of proud that I was able to get up at my second alarm. Usually I have five alarms on my phone and two on my alarm clock, even then it's a bit of a coin flip if I get up before the store calls me to ask where I am. Didn't have time to get breakfast before I had to get to

Days Without Beer 1      A while back the Ethernet port in my computer went out and I had to buy a WiFi adapter and this last Thursday Avast Driver Updater said that the WiFi adapter had an update to install. And it had a warning that it might not work properly during the update. And then immediately had a notification that the update couldn't happen because the computer wasn't connected to the internet. So yeah, I think that the attempt to update the WiFi actually bricked the antenna. I ordered another one from Amazon and it arrived the next day.      I have a running grudge against the Avast antivirus company as it was. A year or so ago I couldn't afford the fee for the monthly renewal for it so I had canceled the subscription to the serv

It would be nice if that streak continued but three to four pounds a day just isn't going to be something that I see as something that will continue to happen. But being down 11 pounds since Sunday is definitely something to “Woot” about      I am also kind of proud of myself that I didn't spend any money yesterday (Wednesday). I'm really trying to get my spending under control. That's one of the reasons I'm trying to get a meal plan goi

I don't feel that it was a very good video. But at least I got the video done. I don't think that I put much energy into the video this morning. But I had a blast of energy as I was going into work. Which is not something that I get to say very often. I still didn't want to be there, but at least I didn't feel like a zombie the entire time. I had so much energy that I was actually outpacing everybody around me. More than one person chuckled at me because I was pounding the buttons on the register and waving my hand at the drawer because it wasn't opening up fast enough. At lunch I picked up some cottage cheese to go with the Lasagna soup that I had planned out. But the microwave w

Just slept so well last night I didn't want to get up. Not depressed, just “a body at rest stays at rest” Something else that's been throwing me off this last week is that I keep feeling like it's the next day. (Wednesday felt like Thursday, Friday felt like Saturday etc.) So waking up this morning I had a struggle convincing myself that it was Sunday and I needed to get up and get the video done. Stood on the scale enough to get the weigh in clip. But I'll have to try to get the video done after work. I was going to do it at lunch, but got distracted. It'd suck if I missed a weekly weigh in just because I was too chill to do what I want to be doing.     At Work today body feels extremely relax

Went on a Walkabout Daily Keto Blog March 21, 2023

Standing on the scale to see such an increase on the scale really is disheartening. And I spent most of the first half of the day kind of sitting here pouting that my weight has gone up. I did manage go record and upload a Store Story. It'll go live this Friday.      The corned beef that I had last night for dinner really messed up my stomach today. I could get into some TMI material, but lets say my bathroom smelt extremely bad most of the day.      I was getting frustrated sitting around the house. I kept pacing around the house thinking, “I'm not a prisoner here” but I couldn't think of anything to do. I thought about trying to work on the 3D printers again, but I didn't want to feel that level of frustration again. This evening my roommate c

On the way back into town I was really craving Nachos so I swung by the store to grab a smaller chunk of Velveeta cheese to make Queso Soup. What I call Queso soup is a small container of Velveeta “cheese” with a pound of ground beef a can of the store brand version of Rotel tomatoes and a packet of taco seasoning. The roommate had left town a bit late in the morning and by the time the “soup” was cooked it was after noon so I just called that Lunch.      I was off today so I spent most of the day working on a script for a video that I want to release this Friday. Every Friday I want to release a video of the weird things that I've had to deal with while working at a grocery store. And this week I'm working on a thre

It was probably too much diet soda yesterday. I am excited that my waist measurement is down. I don't think I've had a 54 inch waist since 2018. This wasn't even "creative rounding" or anything. It really was right at 54 inches! And like 330 lbs (149.7 kg) 54 inches (137.2 cm) seems to be another hurdle that I struggle with. So if I can make progress on that it would be quite exciting. It is kind of interesting that 0.5 inches off of the waist is 0.6% off of the WtHr      Saw some weather forecasts for this weekend and people are pretty excited that the highs are going to be in the 60's ( >15 C) This weekend. I know that it's

Withdraw or Dehydration Daily Blog 1-3-2023

But that might have been the 2L of diet soda I had before bed. I had a headache, it wasn't splitting or overly agonizing. It was just very distracting. As I was flopping around I looked up some of the withdraw symptoms of some of the things I'm trying to quit. And fun fact. Both Alcohol and Carbohydrate withdraw include disrupted sleep and headaches. (A bit unfair that both of the addictions that I wish to fight have so many of the same symptoms) But again I'm not sure if the trouble getting to sleep was various withdraws, or a 2L of soda right before bed. And the headache might have been the withdraws or because of dehydration because the only think

But I am REALLY not comfortable talking about myself in a promotional manner Interviewer: What's your strengths Me: Durrr Interviewer: What's some of your weaknesses Me: Duhhhh I feel that these are reasonable and regular questions. But when I'm trying to describe myself I just go immediately into. “Me is am no talking goods” I was so focused on the phone interview this morning that I almost forgot to do the blog post. The call only took about 20 minutes but I was just sitting here processing all of the “should have said” and “could have said” thoughts when I was starting to get hungry. I debated for a bit whether or not to finish off the bacon I had in
