Weight: 344.2 lbs ( 156.1 kg) BMI: 44.2 Waist: 57.5 in (146.1 cm) WtHr: 77.7% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Baked Chicken Snack: Sea Salt Mixed Nuts Dinner: Bratwursts Drinks: Salted Coffee, Kroger Seltzer, Sugar Free Monster, Sober Week 4 (Day 30) YMCA: X Finally some progress on the waist. I know that it's going to be a “Vitamin P” kind of thing, but it would be nice if the waist line was as dynamic as the scale. I have noticed over the last couple of days the gut had been more “Saggy” and soft. Good news is that means I'm losing fat, bad news is that it's going to start drooping under my shirt if I'm not careful. But I'll take saggy gut over sore feet any day of the week. And on that point feet and shins felt amazing this morning. It sucked last night a screw came out of the back of my computer chair. I was able to put the screw back in. And it seems to be holding, but for a while I was thinking that I was going to have to buy a new one. That would kind ...

Dealing with Winter Storm Sobriety Blog Jan 4, 2025

Weight: 347.4 lbs ( 157.6 kg) BMI: 44.6 Waist: 58.5 in (148.6 cm) WtHr: 79.1% Breakfast: Johnsonville Jalapeno Cheddar Smoked Sausages Lunch: Fried Chicken Drumsticks, Cheddar Pringles Dinner: Bratwursts Drinks: Sugar Free Monster, Kroger Energy Shot, Sugar Free Rockstar, Kroger Seltzer Sober Week 2 (Day 19) YMCA: X It would be nice to lose some weight in the beginning of the year. I mean being up 0.1 to 0.4 pounds (45 to 181 grams) per day isn't an emergency, it's just that only having ups this early in the year makes the spreadsheets look kind of ridiculous. According to the current trend I'm going to be be 516.6 lbs (234.3 kg) by the end of 2026. I'm not sure if I'd like to be a quarter of a US Ton, but I'm pretty sure that my knees would sure as hell wouldn't. They're grumpy enough as it is. Yesterday it seemed like the entire state of Kansas was trying to squeeze through the two registers that they were nice enough to give us. This morning a guy...

Weight: 346.8 lbs ( 157.3 kg) BMI: 44.5 Waist: 58.5 in (148.6 cm) WtHr: 79.1% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Divan Dinner: Bratwursts Drinks: Salted Coffee, Kroger Seltzer, Rockstar Focus, Diet Arizona Lemonade Tea, Sugar Free Red Bull Sober Week 2 (Day 17) YMCA: X I'm not going to call it a resolution; because that's a good way to not get it done, but I would like to get my 3D printers back up and going again. It's unlikely that I'd get any Cosplay done as, well I don't think I'll be able to lose enough gut to fit into an Iron Man or Master Chief suit. But it would be nice to get some projects going again. Started off the day thinking that it was nice to start the day without the existential dread that I've been dealing with lately. I've been feeling a lot more optimistic lately. Not sure if that's the feeling of the New Year, or the lack of the downer that is alcohol. And dealing with the people panic buying was a lot easier than it has been...

Good Mood For the New Year Sobriety Blog Jan 1, 2025

Weight: 346.7 lbs ( 157.3 kg) BMI: 44.5 Waist: 58.5 in (148.6 cm) WtHr: 79% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Creepy Cauldron Dinner: Pork Loin Chops, Mac and cheese Snack: Black Eyed Peas Drinks: Salted Coffee, Kroger Seltzer, Rockstar Focus, Diet Arizona Lemonade Tea Sober Week 2 (Day 16) YMCA: X Technically today so I'll include it in snacks, but Roommate convinced me to have a can of Black Eyed Peas at midnight. I was a bit hesitant. Supposedly eating Black Eyed Peas at midnight is good luck for the new year. I've only tried it a couple of times. Including 2018, and 2020. Let's just say that those weren't very lucky years. But the beans turned out pretty good. I had microwaved them for a couple of minutes with a couple tablespoons of butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. A lot of people had asked me where the Black eyed peas were. I had to tell more than one person, more than once, that they were sold out. Had a bit of a hard time falling asleep...

Weight: 348.4 lbs ( 158.0 kg) BMI: 44.7 Waist: 58 in (147.3 cm) WtHr: 78.4% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Cheeseburger Patties, Mac and Cheese Dinner: Mississippi Roast Drinks: Salted Coffee, Kroger Seltzer, Snack: Last of The European Cookies Sober Week 1 (Day 9) YMCA: X Had a hard time falling asleep last night. Didn't feel bad or sick or anything. It's just that sleep just didn't happen. I wonder if it had anything to do with the couple glasses of soda that I had at Grandma's Christmas party. I'm not usually affected (effected?) by caffeine, but lately I've been avoiding any caffeinated drinks in the evenings. But although I had a hard time getting to sleep, I was able to get out of bed fairly easily this morning. I had a bit of a Christmas Miracle this morning. I usually get paid on Thursday and normally when payday lands on a holiday we get paid a day early. I was assuming that we'd get paid on Thursday like normal. I wasn't sure if the pay ...

Weight: 348.6 lbs ( 158.1 kg) BMI: 44.8 Waist: 58 in (147.3 cm) WtHr: 78.4% Breakfast: Bar-S Hot Dogs Lunch: Fried Chicken, Dinner: Christmas at Grandma Chili Dogs various snacks Drinks: Kroger Seltzer, Sugar Free Red Bull, Sugar Free Monster, Kroger Energy Shot Snack: A couple of “European Cookies” Sober Week 1 (Day 8) YMCA: X Heh, down 10 lbs (4.5 kg) for the month, up 10 lbs (4.5 kg) for the year.  It'd be fun if I could lose that much in a week, but nah, it's not going to happen. I had to drive my Roommate to a doctor's appointment before I had to go to work so I didn't have time for a proper breakfast. So I just grabbed a pack of hot dogs before work. Roommate says that the doctor told him that he is now officially on the Keto Diet. Kind of sucks, I had some dry lips the other day. I grabbed some lip balm that helped a bit on the lips, but didn't seem to catch a bit. As it feels like I have a paper cut on my upper lip. But at least it doesn't feel li...

Not Sure If This One Counts Sobriety Blog Dec 3, 2024

Weight: 349.4 lbs ( 158.5 kg) BMI: 44.9 Waist: 58.5 in (148.6 cm) WtHr: 79.1% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Corned Beef Hash Dinner: Bratwursts Drinks: Kroger Seltzer, Sugar Free Monster, 12pk Busch NA Sober Day 3? YMCA: X Had a hard time getting going this morning. Not feeling physically, mentally, or emotionally bad. Just hard fighting the momentum of just sitting here. Another day where it was like the gravity is up too high or something. I did get around to getting the Bacon and Eggs done. Didn't take the time to have Coffee, but I'm pretty sure that I drink too much of that anyway. Had a good laugh at the radio. A commercial (I don't remember what company the advertisement was for) stated that they'll ALWAYS say “Merry Christmas” because it has always been and it'll always be Christmas to them. They did the spiel for their commercial, then they ended their commercial with, “And we wish you a happy and safe Holiday Season.” I'm going to be laughing a...

NO Written On My hand Keto/Sobriety Blog Dec 2, 2024

Weight: 352.4 lbs ( 159.8 kg) BMI: 45.2 Waist: 58.5 in (148.6 cm) WtHr: 79.1% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: AI Chili Dinner: 11oz Strip Steak Drinks: Pot of salted coffee, Kroger Seltzer, Sugar Free Monster Sober Day 2 YMCA: X       Didn't get the weekly weigh in video done yesterday. I was 12 pounds (5.5 kg) up from the previous weigh in. I shouldn't let a number on a scale dictate my mood. But being five and a half kilograms in two weeks kind of sucked. And being up 20 lbs (9 kg) for the year was just...yeah. And with it being December already it's unlikely that I'll get down to the year's starting weight. It would be kind of fun to lose 20 pounds in one month, but I'm not going to do anything to hurt myself to make that happen.       Did No Shave November, but I am glad that it's December and I can get this thing off of my face. Unfortunately I haven't had time to shave yet. I was too busy brooding yesterday and this morning b...

Days Without Beer 1      A while back the Ethernet port in my computer went out and I had to buy a WiFi adapter and this last Thursday Avast Driver Updater said that the WiFi adapter had an update to install. And it had a warning that it might not work properly during the update. And then immediately had a notification that the update couldn't happen because the computer wasn't connected to the internet. So yeah, I think that the attempt to update the WiFi actually bricked the antenna. I ordered another one from Amazon and it arrived the next day.      I have a running grudge against the Avast antivirus company as it was. A year or so ago I couldn't afford the fee for the monthly renewal for it so I had canceled the subscri...

October 21, 2022 Daily Blog

Weight: 350.6 lbs (159.0 kg) BMI: 45 Waist: 58.5 in (148.6 cm) WtHR: 79.1% Breakfast: X Lunch: Cabbage Soup Dinner: Baked Chicken Drinks: Kroger energy shot, Sparkling water, four cans of the Diet Coke and Diet Dr Pepper. I seem to be out of the Diet Big K Forgot to pick up bacon last night. So no breakfast. Oh, well. Not really that hungry this morning anyway. I did the computer evaluation for the HR lady. She said that she'll call me on Tuesday to discuss the results of the evaluation. But it would be nice to have any kind of indication before than. I was kind of expecting a score at the end of each quiz. But no it would just say that the evaluation was complete and it would just go back to the list of remaining quizzes. So yeah, more than a little nervous for Tuesday. Is it strange that I'm more nervous about the report card than I was about the interview? Work was alright. Short staffed as always. But at least today we didn't have anyone yelling at us to open more...

First Day of Fall! 9-22-2022

Weight: 360.8 lbs (163.7 kg) BMI: 46.3 Waist: 58.5 in (148.6 cm) WtHR: 79.1% Breakfast: Bacon and eggs Lunch: Artichoke Bacon Chicken Soup Dinner: Chicken Alfredo mood: Chill      First day of fall!! (Dancing around). And today has the perfect weather for it. I'm kind of chuckling that the high temperature went from 93 F (~34 C) to 60 (~15C) It would be nice if it stayed that way for a while but after tomorrow the temps are going to jump back up to the 80's (>27 C) I guess it beats the temps in the upper 90's (upper 30's C) that we were getting over the last couple of months. I wasn't going to turn the heater on, but last night I had opened up the windows to enjoy the cool down. So this morning when I woke up it was 50 (10 C) something degrees outside, therefore it was that cold in my house. Yeah, I flipped that heater on real quick. It is kind of fascinating how quickly the apartment warmed up. If it was ungodly hot and I had turned the AC on it would ...

Much Better Than Yesterday 8-30-2022

Weight: 355.6 lbs (161.3 kg) BMI: 45.7 Waist: 58.5 in (148.6 cm) WtHr: 79% Breakfast: 2x frozen breakfast burritos, sugar free Rockstar Energy Lunch: Pepperoni mozzarella rolls, Sugar Free Rockstar Energy Dinner: Bratwursts Drinks: a glass or two of Big K Citrus Drop Zero Sugar mood: better      This morning was rough as hell. It was a continuation of yesterday's allergy issues. And all day long I had a voice like I smoke three packs a day. This is on top of a voice that no one can hear on a normal day. But when I got to work I put on a mask and that massively helped with my symptoms. I didn't bother with a mask yesterday and I felt like re-fried dog poo. So that proves, to me at least, that a face mask helps with my allergy symptoms. Someone saw that I was wearing a mask and asked me if I was sick. I told him that the mask helps with my allergies. He just sneered at me, “That's just all in your head.” Yeah, genius where do you think my sinuses are?   ...
