I actually moved my scale around to make sure that there wasn't anything underneath it. The watch scan says that there was a pretty big drop in muscle, but there was also a big drop in water weight. Which makes since because of the last couple of days. But the scan says that fat is up a little On the way home from the hospital with Roommate I happened to drive by where the new YMCA is going to be and wow that is going to be huge. Roommate was surprised that I cared because he thought that I had quit going. And it wasn't that I had given up on the idea of going to the Y it's just that I was waiting for him to go back to work. He asked me why h...

I try to pay all of my bills on the 4th Thursday of the month. But they don't release their statement until the 24th, today is the 23rd. So I'll have to wait until tomorrow to finish paying my bills.  Grrr.  Who I'm really annoyed with is Verizon. Every month since I got this phone back in September the bill had been $140.92 each month. But today the bill was $141.18. When I click on the “examine bill changes” it just says “increased $0.26” No reason, it's just more this month, than it was last month. And the estimated bill for next couple of months is going to be $152.29. No reason, no ex...

Not bad enough to effect (affect?) me too much. But it did seem to drain my energy though. The temperature outside can only politely be described as REALLY FUCKING COLD. It's been snowing off and on. They were saying that they're only expecting a dusting to a trace, or wait, a trace to an inch or wait 1 to 2 inches. They seem to have a hard time deciding how much were supposed to get, but it is Kansas. I wont hate on anybody trying to predict Kansas Weather. It's so cold outside it's even cold sitting here at the computer. I even had to put on a sweatshirt to sit here next to these giant windows that I have in my living room. That was probably because of the kid next door. I swear that kid sounds like he's wearing combat boots and running laps around the adjoining wall between our apartments. I get that kids have a lot of energy and it's cold as ass outside so they're not going to be playing outside. But it's a constant, “thump, thump, thump, thump” from one end of the room and then, “thump, thump, thump, thump” to the other side of the room. And then up and down the stairs. Just all day, every day. They've been driving Roommate crazy because t...

Messing With The 3D Printers Keto/Sobriety Blog Jan 18, 2025

Weight: 351.2 lbs ( 159.3 kg) BMI: 45.1 Waist: 58.5 in (148.6 cm) WtHr: 79.1% Breakfast: Bacon, Strip Steak, and Eggs Lunch: AI Chili Dinner: Pork Steak Snack: Savage Slim Jim Drinks: Sugar Free Red Bull, Diet Arizona Lemonade Tea, Kroger Energy Shot, Kroger Seltzer Sober Month 1 (Day 33) YMCA: X Spent too long last couple of days fiddling with the 3D Printers to make blog posts. The good news is the hex screws that I thought were all stripped out were actually fine, it was just me being too drunk to work on them properly. (Another thing to add to the list of thousands of reasons I'm glad I stopped drinking.) I installed the extruder that I had been wanting to install for a while now. When I looked at Amazon to see how long ago that it's been sitting in my basement waiting for me to get around to install it. It was back in December 2021. That was THREE YEARS AGO. That was three years of, “I want to get back to this thing that I want to be doing.” I kind of feel like I just w...

Dealing with Winter Storm Sobriety Blog Jan 4, 2025

I mean being up 0.1 to 0.4 pounds (45 to 181 grams) per day isn't an emergency, it's just that only having ups this early in the year makes the spreadsheets look kind of ridiculous. According to the current trend I'm going to be be 516.6 lbs (234.3 kg) by the end of 2026. I'm not sure if I'd like to be a quarter of a US Ton, but I'm pretty sure that my knees would sure as hell wouldn't. They're grumpy enough as it is. Yesterday it seemed like the entire state of Kansas was trying to squeeze through the two registers that they were nice enough to give us. This morning a guy...

It's unlikely that I'd get any Cosplay done as, well I don't think I'll be able to lose enough gut to fit into an Iron Man or Master Chief suit. But it would be nice to get some projects going again. Started off the day thinking that it was nice to start the day without the existential dread that I've been dealing with lately. I've been feeling a lot more optimistic lately. Not sure if that's the feeling of the New Year, or the lack of the downer that is alcohol. And dealing with the people panic buying was a lot easier than it has been...

YMCA: X Had a hard time getting going this morning. Not feeling physically, mentally, or emotionally bad. Just hard fighting the momentum of just sitting here. Another day where it was like the gravity is up too high or something. I did get around to getting the Bacon and Eggs done. Didn't take the time to have Coffee, but I'm pretty sure that I drink too much of that anyway. Had a good laugh at the radio. A commercial (I don't remember what company the advertisement was for) stated that they'll ALWAYS say “Merry Christmas” because it has always been and it'll always be Christmas to them. They did the spiel for their commercial, then they ended their commercial with, “And we wish you a happy and safe Holiday Season.” I'm going to be laughing a...

I was 12 pounds (5.5 kg) up from the previous weigh in. I shouldn't let a number on a scale dictate my mood. But being five and a half kilograms in two weeks kind of sucked. And being up 20 lbs (9 kg) for the year was just...yeah. And with it being December already it's unlikely that I'll get down to the year's starting weight. It would be kind of fun to lose 20 pounds in one month, but I'm not going to do anything to hurt myself to make that happen.       Did No Shave November, but I am glad that it's December and I can get this thing off of my face. Unfortunately I haven't had time to shave yet. I was too busy brooding yesterday and this morning b...

October 21, 2022 Daily Blog

Weight: 350.6 lbs (159.0 kg) BMI: 45 Waist: 58.5 in (148.6 cm) WtHR: 79.1% Breakfast: X Lunch: Cabbage Soup Dinner: Baked Chicken Drinks: Kroger energy shot, Sparkling water, four cans of the Diet Coke and Diet Dr Pepper. I seem to be out of the Diet Big K Forgot to pick up bacon last night. So no breakfast. Oh, well. Not really that hungry this morning anyway. I did the computer evaluation for the HR lady. She said that she'll call me on Tuesday to discuss the results of the evaluation. But it would be nice to have any kind of indication before than. I was kind of expecting a score at the end of each quiz. But no it would just say that the evaluation was complete and it would just go back to the list of remaining quizzes. So yeah, more than a little nervous for Tuesday. Is it strange that I'm more nervous about the report card than I was about the interview? Work was alright. Short staffed as always. But at least today we didn't have anyone yelling at us to open more...

First Day of Fall! 9-22-2022

Weight: 360.8 lbs (163.7 kg) BMI: 46.3 Waist: 58.5 in (148.6 cm) WtHR: 79.1% Breakfast: Bacon and eggs Lunch: Artichoke Bacon Chicken Soup Dinner: Chicken Alfredo mood: Chill      First day of fall!! (Dancing around). And today has the perfect weather for it. I'm kind of chuckling that the high temperature went from 93 F (~34 C) to 60 (~15C) It would be nice if it stayed that way for a while but after tomorrow the temps are going to jump back up to the 80's (>27 C) I guess it beats the temps in the upper 90's (upper 30's C) that we were getting over the last couple of months. I wasn't going to turn the heater on, but last night I had opened up the windows to enjoy the cool down. So this morning when I woke up it was 50 (10 C) something degrees outside, therefore it was that cold in my house. Yeah, I flipped that heater on real quick. It is kind of fascinating how quickly the apartment warmed up. If it was ungodly hot and I had turned the AC on it would ...

Much Better Than Yesterday 8-30-2022

Weight: 355.6 lbs (161.3 kg) BMI: 45.7 Waist: 58.5 in (148.6 cm) WtHr: 79% Breakfast: 2x frozen breakfast burritos, sugar free Rockstar Energy Lunch: Pepperoni mozzarella rolls, Sugar Free Rockstar Energy Dinner: Bratwursts Drinks: a glass or two of Big K Citrus Drop Zero Sugar mood: better      This morning was rough as hell. It was a continuation of yesterday's allergy issues. And all day long I had a voice like I smoke three packs a day. This is on top of a voice that no one can hear on a normal day. But when I got to work I put on a mask and that massively helped with my symptoms. I didn't bother with a mask yesterday and I felt like re-fried dog poo. So that proves, to me at least, that a face mask helps with my allergy symptoms. Someone saw that I was wearing a mask and asked me if I was sick. I told him that the mask helps with my allergies. He just sneered at me, “That's just all in your head.” Yeah, genius where do you think my sinuses are?   ...
