Weight: 323.8 lbs ( 146.9 kg) BMI: 41.6 Waist: 54 in (137.2 cm) WtHr: 73% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Cabbage Soup   Dinner: Slow Cooker Chuck Roast Mac and Cheese Drinks: Salted Coffee, Kroger Seltzer, Low Carb Monster, Sugar Free Red Bull Sober Month 10 (Day 326) Really didn't sleep very well last night either. Not sure what's going on. I feel dragging tired when going to bed, but when I go to bed I'm wired for sound. I was surprised to see the weight on the scale this morning. I stood on it several times and it gave me the same number four times in a row, so it is probably accurate. At first I was impressed with the 3.2 lb (1.5 kg) drop, but what got me really excited was this was the weight that was the lowest weight of 2024! All of 2025 I've been wanting to get down to the lowest point of last year. Now to see if I'll be able to stick to that low of a weight. The Absolute Idiot messed up the Financial projection again. Last night I had told it that...

Weight: 331.6 lbs ( 150.4 kg) BMI: 42.6 Waist: 55 in (139.7 cm) WtHr: 74.3% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Instant Pot Chili Dinner: Pork Steak Drinks: Salted Coffee, Kroger Seltzer, Low Carb Monster, Sugar Free Red Bull Sober Month 10 (Day 317) It is amazing how quiet it is in the morning. I'm guessing that it's easier to put energy (heat) into an area than it is to take it out of an area (Air Conditioning) so the heater doesn't have to work as hard as the air conditioner so the heater is not on as much as the AC. I found the tape measure. Surprise, surprise it was on my desk next to where my coffee cup was from yesterday.  When I got to work the manager told me to cover the hours of a guy who had just gotten rehired. There is a attendance point system that I don't feel like going into right now and he was late and called in too many times and was fired. He was able to talk his way into getting rehired, and now I'm covering his hours for the next three hours...

It was 8:15, just about the regular time that I usually wake up. Than I realized. Daylight Savings ended over the night. My watch is linked to my phone which automatically updates the time. So even though there was an extra hour this morning because of the time switch I still woke up at the same clock time. Kind of a humored annoyance. I could have done anything I wanted for an extra hour and what did I end up doing? Sleeping. Oh well, woke up well rested. When I did eventually wake up I noticed that the milk in the fridge was curdled even though the expiration date was still a couple of days from now. The butter is still stiff and the store bought eggs are still passing the float test so I still ...

Weight: 331.8 lbs ( 150.5 kg) BMI: 42.6 Waist: 55 in (139.7 cm) WtHr: 74.3% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Keto Paleo Gumbo   Dinner: Pork Ribs Drinks: Salted Coffee, Kroger Seltzer, Low Carb Monster, Sugar Free Red Bull Sober Month 10 (Day 309) God that was so satisfying this morning paying all of the bills off. It's been since March since I've been pushing bills around and pulling all of the money out of savings to just keep up with the previous months bills. I had always had the current months bill payed off by the end of the month, but that had always left the next month bill already due because the month had just started. So I finally have the months bills payed before the month started. So I'm technically double paying the internet bill and paying the car insurance at the beginning of the month and again at the end of the month so it looks like the car insurance and internet bill are double the regular amount, but all of the bills are payed for November and the...

Of course I could have woken up before 8:30, but that's just the time I usually wake up. And being scheduled an hour earlier than I normally am just kind of threw off all of the morning. Frustratingly I had forgotten my watch when I left for work. So I spent the entire day staring at my wrist trying to figure out what time it was. And wow a wrist watch really comes in handy when being a supervisor. It's not hard to come across a screen with a clock on it, but it is a lot easier when it's actually on your wrist. And of course I had to work a 5/3 split so I had to spend the longer pa...

I did buy some butter and aluminum foil this afternoon and when I added the spending to the comparison spreadsheet that I started that compares this years spending to last years spending I was kind of encouraged because this day last year I had spent $30 on Beer and Velveeta dinner. As opposed to today's $8 on butter and foil. Who knows, maybe I'll get to a point where I spend less this year than last year.  I heard the freezer fan buzzing against the ice in the freezer again so I decided to go ahead and thaw out the freezer again. I figured that it'd be better to thaw it out before the ...

I'm hoping that'll just make September look better. Fairly certain that a good chunk of the weight gain this morning is due to seasonal allergies head is quite full of snot this morning. Not really a remarkable day. Yeah, it was Labor Day. And I did have some people point out the “irony” that I was working on labor day. But not as much as I was expecting. Kind of low mental energy all day today. I grabbed a scrap of paper to take notes of the day, but didn't write anything down. My left foot and left hip were really getting sore by the end of the evening at work Really tired today. Not sure if I'm just recovering from vacation, getting eff...

Messing around with Chat GPT suggested a spreadsheet to track weekly averages. The spreadsheet that it generated was a bit crap so I was trying to arrange the spreadsheet properly. I had spent four or five hours messing with this new spreadsheet and then...”Bad Allocation” and Open Office just crashed. So there goes all three spreadsheets for the day and the daily blog post that I had been working on the day. So let me see how much of this post I can reconstruct this post from memory in 45 minutes. And now I kind of want to start over on it to get a weekly average and projection of the weigh in. It is strange every night when I...

As of 11:45 no sign of the check being returned or any overdraft/return check fee. Still holding my breath on that. The lady from the bank yesterday might be right about them skipping the fee because the paycheck came through before Midnight last night/this morning. But the paycheck still shows as “Pending” but the Rent check doesn't show as pending anymore. So I'm still budgeting for the $29 fee. I haven't told Roommate or Landlord yet because if it goes through it isn't going to bother anybody.  I stood on the scale before breakfast, but was too distracted by financials to measure the wais...

I keep staring at the Financial program like something is going to jump out at me. I'm experimenting with a “transfer” into the “Cash” account. I'm going to record an “allowance” that is going to be expressed as a “transfer” into the Cash account each week and as I spend money over the week I'll subtract the amount spent from the transfer for next week. I'm kind of tired to explain the thought process very well, and the attempt went on for way too much of a ramble. I had some ingredients left from the last time I made the Paleo Keto Gumbo  and some other ingredients had digital coupons on them so I took that as a sign to make another batch for the lunch this wee...

What I was trying to do was to fill out the entire local map. The problem was that as I walked around the sun would go down and monsters would come out at night. I carried a bed with me to “Sleep through the night” but a lot of times when I placed the bed down the monsters would spawn too closely to my bed and I would try fighting them off to sleep, but a lot of times when I was fighting one monster another one would come up behind me and blow me up. If you can get back to the point where your character was killed quickly enough you can pick up the stuff that you had, but the thing is that a lot of time the point where I died would be on the other side of the play area ...

But I was looking at it as I was waking up and I can't honestly say I understood half of what it was trying to say. I'm just praying that it isn't full of micro-transactions When I did get around to waking up I had a rather unnerving email. It was the “meeting notes for review” of a PayPal transaction of a bitcoin purchase. I'm not seeing any activity on my PayPal account or on my bank account. The most I can tell is that this is some sort of phishing attempt. Yeah, I would NEVER buy bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. The email said call the 800 number to dispute the charge, but ...

The notification is supposed to be headlines and news stories, but when I tap the notification it just comes up with a google search of the coordinates of a volcano in Alaska. I never get the notification when I can look too closely at the google search, but apparently there is a volcano in Alaska. Yeah, there are a lot of volcanoes in Alaska. But I do keep coming back to the idea of an observatory on top of a volcano. That would be an epic place to work. An observatory, on top of a volcano, in the arctic. Man that would be like winning the lottery for a science nerd ...

Another great drop in the weight. The short goal is 330 lbs (149.7 kg) Not sure when to consider that goal “Beaten” I don't want to say it as soon as the scale shows a weight less than that because it could be up the very next day. But only when I first stood up. Was excited to see another record low for the year. Still 8.4 lbs (3.8 kg) from the lowest weight of last year. But I'm still glad for the progress for the year. When I woke up this morning my right ear felt plugged up. Nose was drippy all day long. Not enough snot to get a good blow to clear the entire thing, just a bit of annoying little stream. I was really tired the first half of the day. I'm not sure if it was the weather or what. The last couple of days was really warm and sunny. Today was dark and cloudy. I'm still fairly certain that it's just allergies, but I think COVID-19 is still close enough to the zeitgeist that nobody would want to lift weights around someone coughing like I am. And swimming when I can't breathe properly doesn't sound like fun either. Although sitting in the steam room for a bit would probably be beneficial. Had bacon and eggs for breakfast this morning. I've been trying to re-season my cast iron skillet. For a while I was cleaning the skillet with a steal wool scratch pad and baking it. I didn't have any beer, but I did have some fried chicken for lunch and frozen pizza for dinner. This is supposed to be a Keto/Sobriety blog. I guess I could have just made a “Sobriety” post. But this started off as a Keto Blog and it kind of felt strange to write: “Welcome to my usually Keto Blog...” Another challenge that I couldn't overcome was yesterday was the last day of work before I went on vacation this week so when I got home all of ME just kind of shut down. I was able to get to bed around midnight like I want to. I had listened to the meditation lessons that my phone plays each night. And I felt really calm, but sleep just didn't happen. The health app says that I fell asleep at about 1:25am but I'm pretty sure that I remember seeing the alarm clock show 2:30. I woke up at about 7:30 and I felt alright. “Keto Insomnia” is a known thing when transitioning to the Keto diet. And this can last up to four weeks. So add that to the reasons and challenges to staying clean and sober. Because although I do feel more or less alright th...

I had forgotten to take my dumpster out to the curb last week so it was overfilled so I couldn't take out the trash for the last several days. I'm a bit annoyed that when I got the initial trash taken out it half filled the damned dumpster. Oh well, that's another great thing about the meal plan, er, plan that I want to follow. It doesn't generate much waste. First half of work went amazingly smoothly. Which is interesting because I was running the self checkout for three hours. I still hate running self checkout. But at least with the mental energy that I have from the diet I was able to keep up with the whirling spinning dance that is running self checkout. Feet and calves are still very ...

I was scheduled to work at noon to 9 this evening, closing the customer service desk instead of the normal 11am to 8pm as Supervisor. So I had a bit more time this morning to get the weekly weigh in video done. I'm on quite a streak on working those weekly weigh in videos. I've only missed one week so far this year.      Today was the first day back from “vacation”. And today went surprisingly smoothly. Today was the day before Memorial Day. And it was quite quiet for a day before a major holiday. And also there has been more than one time where the the first day back from vacation I've had moments of extreme anger flash up. I did get a chance to stand on the scale before work, but after work Roommate and I went to see the new Dungeons and Dragons movie. And it was very entertaining. Action was fun, visual effects were amazing, but the writing? Wooofff. I don't remember the last time I laughed that hard in a movie theater, but I don't think I was laughing at the things that they were wanting me to laugh at. The actors did what they could with what they were given, but if someone like ME can see plot twists and turns before they can happen and determine the antagonists plan before their reveal, there's something wrong with the movie. It also tended to rely heavily on exposition to explain the characters backgrounds and what their motivations are. An...
