Weight: 335.4 lbs ( 152.1 kg) BMI: 43.1 Waist: 55 in (139.7 cm) WtHr: 74.3% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Low Carb Jambalaya   Dinner: Hormel Pork Loin Garlic Ginger Drinks: Salted Coffee, Kroger Seltzer, Low Carb Monster, Sober Month 10 (Day 303) Woke up in a pretty good mood. It's kind of a dark cloudy morning, but I feel like I'm coming out of a dark tunnel. (It might help that I love this kind of weather) But it really does feel like I've been hunkered down sheltered in and tiptoeing between landmines, and now it feels like that's coming to an end. It was kind of fun to look at the spending comparison and right now I'm only $54 overspent compared to last year and the money that I'm going to save on beer over the rest over the rest of the month I think I'm going to finally beat that. Of course the bills next week might make that a challenge. The last couple of days I took advantage of the Buy Two Get One sale on Monster Energy (not sponsored) so...

So when I woke up around 8am I waited a while before showering. And then waited a while to have breakfast. And then I waited a while. I was planning on doing the grocery shopping while he was doing his laundry. But the longer I waited I kept thinking of going ahead and go do the shopping. But I kept telling myself that as soon as I left he'd get up and get cranky because I had left him at home and he couldn't go and get his laundry done. It was half past noon before I heard him get up and start walking around upsta...

I did buy some butter and aluminum foil this afternoon and when I added the spending to the comparison spreadsheet that I started that compares this years spending to last years spending I was kind of encouraged because this day last year I had spent $30 on Beer and Velveeta dinner. As opposed to today's $8 on butter and foil. Who knows, maybe I'll get to a point where I spend less this year than last year.  I heard the freezer fan buzzing against the ice in the freezer again so I decided to go ahead and thaw out the freezer again. I figured that it'd be better to thaw it out before the ...

Not sure if that's because I've been off and not walking around all of the time or because I'm back to the Keto. Last week my feet were hurting so I'm not sure that it's completely because of the diet. Here are some things that I had forgotten to mention yesterday because the evening caught up with me quite quickly: I had gotten a new Debit card in the mail and I was out of seltzer so I ran over to the store to activate the card and get more water. Out of habit I had used the store's app to pay for the water and I was heading out of the store when I caught myself and went to the ATM and activated my card.  And...

It was really good weather for sitting around zoning out. Pretty good track on weight loss this month so far. Net loss of 4lbs (1.8 kg) Fascinating coincidence that the difference from yesterday in pounds is the difference so far for the month in kilograms. I was a bit nervous about the trashcan. As I had forgotten to take it to the curb last week it was really overfilled. I had took it out to the curb on Wednesday this week, but as Labor Day was this week the trash collection was delayed a day. However if I didn't take it out there I knew I would forget it and that wouldn't work out very well. What had made me nervous as when I took Roommate to his appointment it was clear ...

I keep it to one page before I post it on here. I haven't made 600 posts on this blog. I'm not sure where to look to see how many posts I've made. It hasn't always been a Sobriety or even Keto Blog, I will be proud to get up to 600 on either of those counts though.  Wow, up 8 lbs in two days. It would be unwise to blame all of that gain on one thing, but I don't think I'll have any of those Jumbo Jumbo Hot Dogs anymore. Feet, ankles, and left hip were really grumpy this morning. And my gut felt like it was overfilled. Like uncomfortably stuffed, even though I hadn't eaten in almost 12 ho...

It was really cold water, there wasn't a trail from the fridge or sink. The bathroom is above my kitchen, but the puddle wasn't under where the bathroom pluming is. The only thing that I can think of is that it is somehow connected to when I defrosted the freezer the other day. Perhaps there was some ice leftover and since the freezer isn't overfilled right now it was able to defrost itself. Everything in the fridge is cold and the freezer contents are all frozen so everything is working there, but I'll keep an eye on things.  I...

Still working on “A brief history of time” By Dr Stephen Hawking. And that chapter was talking about quantum mechanics, not as in depth as the chapter before it. But I was getting the feeling that he was really forcing the “brief” in the title into this chapter. It was more like, this person discovered this thing, and then this person discovered that thing, One person thought that this thing worked in one way and then the other person discovered it worked in the other way. If I ever get around to finishing this book I think it'll take a couple of more readings to understand it. When I woke up this morning the first thought was what time do I work today? Oh, right I'm off today and I...

And I have to say that the quiet was really quite soothing. It was cool enough that the AC wasn't blowing, the phone was off, and I didn't turn on the fan that I have next to my bed. I rested and realized that we don't have much opportunity in the modern world to have it completely quiet. Amazing weight loss progress so far this month. Going to attribute that to being in the second week of Keto. Waist still hasn't gone down by much, but the sides of my gut seem to be coming in. strange...

Woke up with what felt like a hangover. Just couldn't get up and moving. It was 2 in the afternoon by the time I started doing anything. I had a stifling headache all day. I made some Taco Casseroles for the weekly lunch plan. The recipe says that it makes Six Servings. But I think that those are six servings with a salad and a veggie side. I went ahead and made two batches with two servings per dish that I put into the fridge so it would last me all week. It took me a bit longer than I thought it would to cook the two batches of the casserole which is strange because it was just a matter of browning the ground beef, mixing it all together, and then ba...

I'm glad that I have bacon on the shopping list for the week. I was excited last week when I did the inventory and it looked like I had enough Lunch and Dinner components to not have to do grocery shopping this next week. But I'll have to buy more Bacon, Eggs, and Seltzer. And there is a Digital Coupon on Bratwursts (not sponsored) this week and if there's a coupon on something you have to buy that thing right? Had a weird feeling as I was going into work. It was like a light floaty feeling. Have you ever had a heavy sobbing cry? Just wept...

But looking at the data of the year that seems to be the pattern. January was pretty flat, February had pretty good progress, March was pretty flat, and then April had good progress, and now May is flat. So I'm not sure if that is normal, but I am making amazing progress for the year. I didn't get a chance to take any notes today. I do remember that there were moments that I wanted to write things down. But good gravy today was swamped busy. It was the Friday of a holiday weekend and there are rumors of bad weather over the next couple of days. It was insanely busy and I did have more than one person ask me if the help that we had was all of the help...

But I'm REALLY KIND OF FREAKED OUT that the paycheck hasn't landed in my bank account this morning. The pay stub usually updates on Wednesday around 7pm and I usually check the site as I'm leaving work on Wednesday, but I was off yesterday so I didn't bother checking the site and I was just expecting the deposit at midnight like usually happens. I checked my balances after posting last night...and it wasn't there. I tried to check the website were the pay stubs are posted and it wasn't responding. So I downloaded the related app. After a bit of login and signing up drama, I was able to check my pay stub...and it wasn't there. The last pay stu...

Got distracted by Oblivion last night so I didn't get around to posting. Or at least that'll be the excuse that I'll use.  It is nice to be back down to 330 (149.7 kg) Goal is currently at 320 (145.1 kg) but I seem to be back on track now.  I did manage to defrost the freezer and take an inventory yesterday. Frustratingly the freezer is still overfilled. HOW DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING? Yeah, I bought some more Bratwursts, and a Pork Butt cut into steaks. But that's all I bought and it was still a challenge to get everything back into the freezer even with the stuff I got out for the weekly meal plan. I didn't think that I had bought more than the seven lunches and sev...

I tired to explain why in this post before going to bed, but brain just didn't want to comply. It was almost like the Windows Shutdown Sound went off as soon as I got home last night. A piece of good news, my feet have stopped hurting. I was nervous about my left foot for a couple of days as it was sore on the top outside. I guess that I just stepped wrong, but it seems to have sorted itself out. Forgot my freaking notes again. I do remember that there were things that I wanted to write about, but I can't remember them now. I guess there was a Tornado Warning last night around midnight. Roommate had to take public transportation to get home. When Roommate got back home the guy had left, but he had left a small generator hooked up to the AC unit outside. He did come back to continue working on it. I'm a little disappointed that it wasn't done by lunch. But hey, done well is better than done fast. He got the AC working, but he'll come back next week to finish some work on the Heater. I don't think that we'll have to worry too much about the heater working or not. Thankfully Roommate will be home if there are any issues. I was starting to get worried because it was 10 o'clock and he still hadn't called. I only saw that he was here because I saw his van pull up to the back of the house. We were, more or less, ready for him. We just had to drag the dog up to Roommates room. I think I recognize the technician I'm pretty sure he introduced himself to me as someone who did some work on my Grandma's house. Kind of nervous to ask him about it. He removed the heater from the basement and the AC unit from outside. And my guess of him, “being done by lunch” was kind of correct because...

Had a hard time falling asleep after posting the blog last night. Body was tired, mind was tired, brain WAS WIRED FOR SOUND. I made another pitcher of tea this morning, but I didn't have any of it after work. I'm not going to go full caffeine free, but I'm going to try to avoid it in the evening. I'll see if that helps me sleep better.  A little disappointed at the weight tracking over the last couple of day, sure I haven't been on the diet, but does it collapse so quickly if you're not that close to the diet 100% of the time? The first day back from vacation always really pisses me off. It's always a mi...

But it does make me wonder if I'm missing something. Finished off the last of the Sugar Free Monster yesterday and I didn't want to spend more money on energy drinks and Roommate keeps brewing Green tea so that inspired me to brew some tea for myself. I would have some of his green tea, but I'm pretty sure he puts sugar in his tea. The cheese that I put into the chili at lunch kind of smelt like it had gone bad. I didn't see any mold on it, but I did end up throwing out the last little bit of that cheese that was left. I hope it doesn't make me sick as that would be ...

It would have been really easy because it was just two screws in the back to hold the spool holder on and plugging in the LCD Control Screen. But those were really small screws and the LCD wire strip was foreign to me. But the magnetic build plate was kind of fun to play with. I decided to just go to bed and try to read. But I was a bit to tired read as well. I was thinking I'm half way through The Children of Hurin so I was hoping that Tolkien was done with the introductions however the characters decided that they needed to go by different names. And we went to Village Inn for breakfast. I had the Denver Omelet meal. Again not very Keto. I didn't see the A La Carte section on the menu until after I ordered. I'm used to just ordering a meal from the menu. And lately I've been seeing that is getting more and more popular online to order from the A La Carte section off of menus. It looks like it's cheaper and easier to follow the Keto diet when eating out by doing this. And yeah the omelet is good on Keto, but the Hash Browns and Syrup covered Pancakes were definitely not. I do have to say that the pancakes at Village Inn were better than the ones at the Truck Stop that I had last week...
