But was only able to get half of the pot of coffee before I had to run off to work. When I got to work there was a bit of confusion of what I was supposed to be doing as my schedule online said that I was in the service desk for just about the entire day so I wore my apron, but when I got to the front of the store and saw the paper showing the list of where everybody was supposed to be it was showing that I was supervisor the entire day so I went back to my locker to grab my supervisor vest however when I got back up to the front the list was showing that I was in the service desk all day. Again happiness is not a number on the scale, but I'd be lying if I said that I wouldn't have been in quite the mood that I was in yesterday morning if I had the numbers I had today. Not sure if it's the lighting in the Men's restroom at work but the last couple of days when I get to work I still have to pee a lot. And the pee looks quite dark in the urinal. Dark pee is a sign of dehydration. But, as usual, I had just finished off a pot of coffee. I think that I've heard that coffee dehydrates you. Probably going to be spending all day thinking about the things I wanted to have mentioned. For instance I wanted to mention that I started off 2023 sober. Kind of helps that the first was a Sunday and I have about five whole dollars to my name. Once again I wake up with a ton of hope and optimism, and then I go to work and it feels like a giant gut punch. We only had one person call in, so far at my lunch break, but that shift was covered by someone who was asking for more hours anyway. But it's kind of bad when you can feel your emotions deflating as you walk into a building. Got tired of pork steak every night so I baked up some of the chicken that I had in the freezer. Unfortunately it was the last of the chicken in the freezer. But tomorrow is Tuesday ...
