I ran self checkout for several hours today. I really don't like running self checkout. The new machines run better than the old ones did. But only because they're newer machines. A lot of the hardware is new, but all of the software is the old style so a lot of the frustration of getting people through the machines is still the same frustrations as before. I know that Chicken Fried Steak really isn't in the diet plan that I want to be on, but it also sounded so very good. Got a laugh out of my roommate, because I say the same thing every time we go out to eat I get the chicken fried steak. And then every time I get the chicken fried steak I point out that I get it every time we go out. It is a bit unnerving to listen to him talk during the meal.
