And I'm wanting to do swimming next week so I spent a few minutes in the weight room I had to struggle with the thought that I was doing everything wrong and I was just wasting time. I tried to use the counter thought of “Doing something is always better than doing nothing” but I really couldn't bring myself to do much in the weight room. I did feel a lot more confident and sure of myself when I was using the treadmill. But then again that's just walking. If I can't figure out how to walk by now I'm going to have a lot of questions with mys

I was going to start this back up yesterday, but it just became another than a “Mark Whines About Work” Post. I feel like work absorbs enough of my life without me coming home and stewing about the BS. And I doubt anybody wants to read about that. But that does put a heck of a block on what I could write about on a “Daily Blog” Yesterday when I stepped on the scale I was back to where I was, weight wise, at the beginning of the year and I have been kind of concerned about the returning stabbing pain in my feet and how stiff my legs have been lately. I've also been really tired and irritated all da

I wasn't paying attention to what the voice was saying because they started the session by saying, “Sit up straight in your chair, your head straight up, and let the stress of your day flow down. Let the stress of the day flow down into the part of the chair where your chair is touching your body” And I couldn't help but interpret that as, “Let the stress of the day flow down, let the stress of the day flow down, and out of your ass” The rest of the meditative session was lost to me because I couldn't help but to bust out laughing about the idea of forcing the daily stress out the ass. I think i

Minecraft and Salty Coffee Daily Keto/Sobriety Blog December 18, 2023

I am using the last of the Paid Time Off that I have for the year. So I'll have four days off instead of two and when I got up this morning my computer updated the video driver and I thought it'd play games a bit better (it's been looking a bit rough lately) but what game did I play to see if my computer is playing games well? Minecraft. Not the game that pushes the computer the most. I was just going to start it up for a bit, but I kind of got pulled in. I just kind of looked up and it was close to 10 hours later. I really didn't even do anything. I really just flattened out an area to start a farm and the wall to go around it. I did explore a b

Stayed up later than I should have to listen to the streamer that I like to watch on Monday nights. But when I did finally get to bed I had one of those nights when I jumped out of bed every time I laid down. I could just not lay still. I even tried to do the meditation, the notification disappeared from my phone before I got to bed. But every time I laid down my heart would race and my breathing started racing. It felt like a panic attack every time I tried to get to sleep. This has happened before, but it is a very rare occurrence. I'm not sure what causes this, but it doesn't happen enough to try to figure out. I was able to wake up early enough to eat the regular breakfast of bacon and e

Making a Plan and Thawing the Freezer Daily Keto/Sobriety Blog December 11, 2023

Another day when I woke up I had a stiff headache. I'm really thinking that it's dehydration again. I haven't been drinking much of anything over the last couple of days. And as I got up and started drinking coffee I started feeling better. But then again I was drinking coffee, and coffee does tend to make people feel better. The last couple of days I've decided to drink the coffee black, I'm attempting to see if I feel any different with plain coffee than with the half cup of cream that I usuall

This is one of the benefits of the meal planning that I want to be doing. Sure there are a lot of dishes to do once or twice a week, but for most of the rest of the week all you need to do is rinse off the bowl or plate you ate lunch or dinner in/on.      Had hot dogs for lunch. I was out of mustard at home so I picked up a bottle of spicy brown mustard. But I put too much on the hot dogs and that stuff was really sour and bitter and kind of made lunch that particular flavo
