Weight: 344.2 lbs ( 156.1 kg) BMI: 44.2 Waist: 57.5 in (146.1 cm) WtHr: 77.7% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Baked Chicken Snack: Sea Salt Mixed Nuts Dinner: Bratwursts Drinks: Salted Coffee, Kroger Seltzer, Sugar Free Monster, Sober Week 4 (Day 30) YMCA: X Finally some progress on the waist. I know that it's going to be a “Vitamin P” kind of thing, but it would be nice if the waist line was as dynamic as the scale. I have noticed over the last couple of days the gut had been more “Saggy” and soft. Good news is that means I'm losing fat, bad news is that it's going to start drooping under my shirt if I'm not careful. But I'll take saggy gut over sore feet any day of the week. And on that point feet and shins felt amazing this morning. It sucked last night a screw came out of the back of my computer chair. I was able to put the screw back in. And it seems to be holding, but for a while I was thinking that I was going to have to buy a new one. That would kind ...

Weight: 351.6 lbs ( 159.5 kg) BMI: 45.1 Waist: 58 in (147.3 cm) WtHr: 78.4% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Snack: Corn Chips Lunch: Bar-S Hot Dogs Dinner: Bratwursts Drinks: Salted Coffee, Kroger Seltzer, Sober Week 2 (Day 21) YMCA: X Off to a roaring start this year. 3 weeks sober, but haven't been very Ketogenic yet so far. I made a Weekly Weigh In video yesterday. Editing went long so I had to finish it after work. And it felt weird to make a Vlog, and then a Blog. Because of the weather I was stuck at the store for lunch. I shouldn't complain about the weight gain the next day if I'm going to have Doritos and Fried Chicken for lunch. Spent all evening burping after lunch. I'm thinking that the Fried Chicken makes me burp a lot. Roommate made a pot of chili last night and that's why I had corn chips earlier today. I took an inventory of the freezer today to set up the meal plan for the week. And I went to the store to get the ingredients for a couple of recipe vi...

Dealing with Winter Storm Sobriety Blog Jan 4, 2025

Weight: 347.4 lbs ( 157.6 kg) BMI: 44.6 Waist: 58.5 in (148.6 cm) WtHr: 79.1% Breakfast: Johnsonville Jalapeno Cheddar Smoked Sausages Lunch: Fried Chicken Drumsticks, Cheddar Pringles Dinner: Bratwursts Drinks: Sugar Free Monster, Kroger Energy Shot, Sugar Free Rockstar, Kroger Seltzer Sober Week 2 (Day 19) YMCA: X It would be nice to lose some weight in the beginning of the year. I mean being up 0.1 to 0.4 pounds (45 to 181 grams) per day isn't an emergency, it's just that only having ups this early in the year makes the spreadsheets look kind of ridiculous. According to the current trend I'm going to be be 516.6 lbs (234.3 kg) by the end of 2026. I'm not sure if I'd like to be a quarter of a US Ton, but I'm pretty sure that my knees would sure as hell wouldn't. They're grumpy enough as it is. Yesterday it seemed like the entire state of Kansas was trying to squeeze through the two registers that they were nice enough to give us. This morning a guy...

Craziness Before a Winter Storm Daily Sobritey Blog Jan 3, 2025

Weight: 347.2 lbs ( 157.5 kg) BMI: 44.6 Waist: 59 in (149.9 cm) WtHr: 79.7% Breakfast: Johnsonville Jalapeno Cheddar Smoked Sausages Lunch: Fried Chicken Drumsticks, Cheddar Pringles Dinner: Red Baron Hand tossed Meat Lovers Pizza Drinks: Sugar Free Monster, Sugar Free Red Bull, Busch NA Sober Week 2 (Day 18) YMCA: X Starting off the reminding myself to take some “Vitamin P” It's only three days into the new year. And the half a pound that I gained over the last few days are well within the normal expected fluctuations. And although I haven't been 100% on my diet, I've been doing pretty okay. Or at least I was doing okay this morning. Roommate had a doctor's appointment this morning so I didn't have time to cook the Bacon and Eggs that I usually have. So I didn't have the normal breakfast, but Dr Berry says that even if you just grab some hot dogs, that's still doing good on the diet. But I figure the Johnsonville Jalapeno Sausages taste better than the...

Weight: 346.8 lbs ( 157.3 kg) BMI: 44.5 Waist: 58.5 in (148.6 cm) WtHr: 79.1% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Divan Dinner: Bratwursts Drinks: Salted Coffee, Kroger Seltzer, Rockstar Focus, Diet Arizona Lemonade Tea, Sugar Free Red Bull Sober Week 2 (Day 17) YMCA: X I'm not going to call it a resolution; because that's a good way to not get it done, but I would like to get my 3D printers back up and going again. It's unlikely that I'd get any Cosplay done as, well I don't think I'll be able to lose enough gut to fit into an Iron Man or Master Chief suit. But it would be nice to get some projects going again. Started off the day thinking that it was nice to start the day without the existential dread that I've been dealing with lately. I've been feeling a lot more optimistic lately. Not sure if that's the feeling of the New Year, or the lack of the downer that is alcohol. And dealing with the people panic buying was a lot easier than it has been...

Editing Spreadsheets For New Years Eve Keto/Sobriety Blog Dec 31, 2024

Weight: 346.8 lbs ( 157.6 kg) BMI: 44.5 Waist: 58 in (147.3 cm) WtHr: 78.4% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Bratwursts Dinner: Grilled Pork Steaks Drinks: Salted Coffee, Sugar Free Monster, Kroger Seltzer,Sugar Free Red Bull, Rockstar Focus Sober Week 2 (Day 15) YMCA: X Two full weeks sober, hadn't done that since July. And broke that streak on Independence Day at Day 19? I think. Day 19 was the last day I started a blog, I don't know if I had started that blog post in the morning and in the evening just decided to buy beer for the Forth of July. But I do have to say that I haven't been mentally or physically craving beer. Doritos hell yeah, but not really beer or alcohol. The real fight has been against habit. When I get off of work, or do the grocery shopping there's the beer sitting right there. Or the days off, like yesterday, I'll sit around thinking that I hadn't bought the beer yet. Spent a lot of time updating the spreadsheets for 2025. It is real...

Re-Balancing Budgeting Spreadsheets Daily Keto/Sobritey Blog July 3, 2024

Weight: 334.2 lbs (149.9 kg) BMI: 42.9 Waist: 54 in (137.2 cm) WtHr: 73.0% Breakfast: Bacon and eggs Lunch: Basic Chili with cheese and Ranch dressing Dinner: Baked Bratwursts Drinks: Pot of Coffee with cream, Kroger Seltzer Mango, Sugar Free Monster Sober Week 2 (Day 18) YMCA: No I didn't post last night. It was strange. I was feeling really good all day long, but as soon as the sun went down I had a MASSIVE wave of “don't give a damn.” Hard to describe it as anything else. I think that it might have been because I spent the entire day sitting here at the computer playing Fallout: New Vegas. I managed to get to the YMCA yesterday, but after that I just sat here at the computer just sitting here. I think that broke my mood. It's just so strange for me to go to bed at 10:30pm I'm going to talk about financial stuff. I was a big hesitant at first, but then again 1. I usually only get about 15 views on each these posts, and 2. If anybody if thinking about stealing/sca...

Thawing the Freezer...Again Keto/Sobriety Blog July 1, 2024

Weight: 333.2 lbs (151.1 kg) BMI: 42.8 Waist: 54 in (137.2 cm) WtHr: 73.0% Breakfast: X Lunch: Baked Chicken Dinner: Mississippi Roast Drinks: Kroger Seltzer Mango and Blackberry Citrus, Sugar Free Monster Sober Week 2 (Day 16) YMCA: no Woke up again a bit later than I would prefer, but I don't work today or tomorrow so there wasn't much rush to get up. But still there is a frustration in sleeping in so late. When I finally did get around to getting up I really didn't feel all that hungry. Dr Berry and other influencers suggest that you should only eat when only truly hungry. I'm not sure if that was because I had over eaten last night or because I just haven't discovered what it is to be truly hungry. But when I did get around to getting up I just didn't feel like eating anything. On the days that I do have to go to work I will have a breakfast before going to work, as I don't want to gamble with becoming “hangry” I ran by Mom's house to grab a c...

Struggling Against Bad Thoughts Daily Keto/Sobriety Blog February 15, 2024

Weight: 328.8 lbs (149.1 kg) BMI: 42.2 Waist: 54 in (137.2 cm) WtHr: 73% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Nathans Hot Dogs and Cottage Cheese Dinner: Bratwursts Drinks: Pot of coffee Black, Sugar Free Rockstar Sliver Ice, Kroger Energy Shot, Kroger Seltzer Water Mango x7 Sober Week 2 (Day 15) Had a laugh that might have messed up the measurement of last nights meditative session. I wasn't paying attention to what the voice was saying because they started the session by saying, “Sit up straight in your chair, your head straight up, and let the stress of your day flow down. Let the stress of the day flow down into the part of the chair where your chair is touching your body” And I couldn't help but interpret that as, “Let the stress of the day flow down, let the stress of the day flow down, and out of your ass” The rest of the meditative session was lost to me because I couldn't help but to bust out laughing about the idea of forcing the daily stress out the ass. I think i...

Playing with Spreadsheets Daily Keto/Sobriety Blog December 15, 2023

Weight: 335.8 lbs (153.5 kg) BMI: 43.1 Waist: 56 in (142.2 cm) WtHr: 75.7% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Tootn' Chili Turkey Dinner: Baked Chicken Drinks: Pot of Coffee black, Kroger Energy Shot, Kroger Seltzer Water Cranberry Lime Weeks Sober 2 (Day 20) I did a bit of re-tweaking to the 2023 and 2024 weight loss tracking spreadsheets before work. For the 2023 spreadsheet I had the wrong number for the BMI goal. It was only off by 2.3 so not a big change and for the 2024 Spreadsheet I was going to change the Waist to Height Ratio tracking to Waist to Hip Ratio, but I've been doing Waist to Height Ratio for so long I think changing what WtHR means would just cause confusion. It's kind of unfortunate that both Height and Hip both start with the letter “H” otherwise it wouldn't be a big deal. Oh well, that just changes a thing that I was going to change back to the thing that I was already doing. And I'm very grateful for the “Find/Replace” tool on Open Office it ...

Stayed up later than I should have to listen to the streamer that I like to watch on Monday nights. But when I did finally get to bed I had one of those nights when I jumped out of bed every time I laid down. I could just not lay still. I even tried to do the meditation, the notification disappeared from my phone before I got to bed. But every time I laid down my heart would race and my breathing started racing. It felt like a panic attack every time I tried to get to sleep. This has happened before, but it is a very rare occurrence. I'm not sure what causes this, but it doesn't happen enough to try to figure out. I was able to wake up early enough to eat the regular breakfast of bacon and e...

This tends to happen a lot. Just out of happenstance, I just happen to be off on the week that Daylight Savings Time changes. I'm flexible enough that it really doesn't effect me much. I had woken up at around 8am this morning (even though I had set my alarms for 6) that's not much off from the time I usually wake up. I did drive myself crazy for a while comparing the time it was and what it would have been without the time change. But I convinced myself to stop doing that because it'd just drive me crazy with how much time I “lost”. I think it's lost because it bein...

Motivated Into Action Daily Sobritey Blog November 5, 2023

Weight: 342 lbs (155.1 kg) BMI: 43.9 Waist: 57. in (144.8 cm) WtHr: 77% OMAD: Nachos Drinks: Couple cups of coffee with cream, 8 cans Diet Mt Dew, 8 Cans Diet Dr Pepper Weeks Without Beer 2 (15 Days)      Spent the first part of the day getting a Weekly Weigh In video done. Had a hard time getting the thoughts together. It was really quite distracting that the weight was up so much today. It shouldn't be a surprise that I weighed more today than I did last week as I overate on Mac and cheese and chicken breast last night for dinner. It is a frustration that once again I was up a rather large amount in the day I weighed in and it put me over the previous weigh in just a little bit. Today I was up 4.8 pounds for the day, but only 1.6 pounds for the week. Last time this happened I was up 5.8 pounds in one day and it put me up 2.2 pounds for that week. Seriously, why does this only happen on Sunday's when I'm doing the Weekly Weigh In?      I got the oth...
