Weight: 336.2 lbs (152.5 kg) BMI: 43.2 Waist: 55.5 in (141 cm) WtHr: 75% Breakfast: Bratwursts Lunch: Pork Steaks Dinner: 3x Burger Patties with Cheddar and Pepper Jack Cheese slices Drinks: 4x Pepsi Zero, 4x Pepsi Cherry Zero, 4x Dr Pepper Zero, 4x Dt Mt Dew Sober Day 6 Having a hard time getting up and going. I'm not a fan of the term, “Keto Flu” I mean the alliteration of “Keto Cold” fits so much better. This might be TMI but I struggled with the craps today. Knees and back are popping and cracking like crazy also. I do wonder if this is because of a lowering of pressure on the joints or some other result of lowering carbs The last day or two have had rather impressive drop in weight. Not sure if that is due to the “magic” of the keto diet, or just because I'm not eating the rather ridiculous amount of food that I eat when I'm not doing my diet. Had a late breakfast as I woke up a bit late. I normally have bacon and eggs, but I just decided to have something differ

Weight: 336.8 lbs ( 152.8 kg) BMI: 43.2 Waist: 55.5 in (141 cm) WtHr: 75% Breakfast: Bacon and eggs Lunch: Deconstructed Pizza Casserole Dinner: Slow Cooked Chuck Roast with Mushroom Gravy Drinks: Quite a few cans of Seltzer water of various flavors Weeks Sober 3 (Day 24) I didn't do much before the Doctor's appointment. I was kind of afraid of eating too much or drinking any coffee because of the effect that the food would have on the scale, or the caffeine in the coffee on the blood pressure. These factors are why I'd prefer to have appointments and meetings in the morning if I could. Not that I have had a whole lot of doctors appointments, but even when I work later in the afternoon, I spend the entire day counting down how much time I have until I have to go into work or that meeting. The bacon I had for breakfast was the bacon that Stepdad was kind enough to donate to me the other day. When he gave it to me he said that it wasn't very good quality, I thought he

Kind of a hard time getting up and going. It was nice to be down almost a pound and a half from last week. It had been a frustrating trend for a while each week I've been down for each week, but the weight had been up from the Saturday's post. But this week I'm down for the week and also for the day. I am grateful that today was another slow and smooth day at work. When I got there I was told that the Customer Service Manager was wanting me to update the closing reports for the new year. It really isn't hard to do (but it did take all day to do) All that needed to be done was rename each file, change the dates inside the file, and clear the da

The store closed at 5 last night because of Thanksgiving. And when I got home I just kind of shut down. I really couldn't write anything on the blog or work on any of the many things I want to be working on. An idea that I came up with was because I got off early and mind and body was just feeling like “hey, it's the end of the day were done now” even though I got off early and had a short day. The counter to that thought is on a normal day I do most of the writing on these blog posts after work (writing this first part before work though). The other thought it is probably Holiday Depression. I did feel like I was missing out on something, which is odd because my family going to have the family ga

I've been spending WAY too much time zombie scrolling. I'm not going to fully abandon all of the social medias, they're my only window to the outside world, but I spend WAY too much time staring at my phone. A normal day I usually wake up around 8am, but then lay there until I have to go to work scrolling through twitter. This has to end. I still spent all day pulling my phone out of my pocket and looking through the apps. So...today was Labor Day. What did I do for Labor Day? I worked, yes I worked for Labor Day. Yeah, that does mean that I lAbOrEd oN lAbOr DaY! That is so cre

Also had some coffee with cream in it. I've grown fond of coffee with cream, unfortunately I used up the last of my cream this morning. (Didn't even get the entire cup drank) So if I get up and going early enough tomorrow to get breakfast with some coffee I'll have to drink it black.      It's said that a breakfast is a good way to get more energy over the rest of the day, but I didn't feel much of a difference from today and the last few days. But I am feeling a considerable difference from this week and previous weeks. It is quite a bit easier to get up and going when doesn't feel like I'm standing on electricity when I

I even posted a picture of myself in another post to try to get it to show that picture as the thumbnail. I'm going to have to do some research on how to select a lasting thumbnail.      The weigh in this morning was a bit disconcerting. I'm guessing that it was up because of how late I ate dinner. And how much pasta I ate and the amount of water I drank yesterday      Roommate woke me up this morning with a call. He was back in town for the week so I didn't have time for breakfast. He did have us go through Scooters for some coffee, I've never had Scoo

I have blankets covering my upstairs windows to keep the heat of the sun out during the day, I'm thinking that I'm going to take them down at night. It was hard to wake up with the room that dark. Didn't get up and going until almost 11am.      Since I slept in so late it felt silly to cook the bacon and eggs that I normally would have had so I just finished off the last of the spaghetti for lunch instead. Again not very Keto, but I still had that last half of the box of spaghetti     Recorded another recipe video today. But didn't get around to editing yesterday's or today's videos. However I did get a pot of chili made and did get around to taking inventory of the freezer and got a meal plan together. A bit frustrating that the only thing that I seem to get done on an

I admit that isn't a very productive thought, but I just couldn't shake it. I know that the “mid-life crisis” isn't supposed to be the exact middle of your life. But I'm not very confident that I'll make it to 74. I'm not expecting or planing anything, but I have not been taking very good care of myself. I wasn't going to say, “Lately” at the end of that sentence, but I don't know if I ever took very good care of myself. Mom introduced me to a book labeled "Fear the Fear, and do it anyway" I don't feel that I've been struggling with the "fear" of doing anything. But perhaps the reason I haven't been as successful on YouTube as I've

I just felt that I needed to get out and do something, but I really didn't have anything to do. I did forget that I was going to buy some baking soda to try to clean off my Pyrex pans, but by the time I realized that I forgot the one thing that I was going to do today I had spent way too much on other things. Thankfully I already have some baking soda in my cabinet. It'd suck to spend money on stuff that I already had.      The thing is when I got home I thought I'd try to finish off the diet sodas that had made me feel so down over the last several

I convinced myself that I was just cooking breakfast out of habit. And when I started writing this out I started getting hungry, but I'm pretty sure that's just because I'm thinking about food. I call this effect “Mouth Hungry” a quick google search shows that “Mouth Hungry” is a term used by other people and has different meanings for what I've used it for. But it is important to remember that physical hunger is different from emotional and/or mental for taste of hunger.      Strange weather today. When I woke up it was almost 60 (15 c) but some heavy clouds moved in. The forecast for this afternoon was 36 (2 C) The way the sky darkened and wind picked up I

On the way back into town I was really craving Nachos so I swung by the store to grab a smaller chunk of Velveeta cheese to make Queso Soup. What I call Queso soup is a small container of Velveeta “cheese” with a pound of ground beef a can of the store brand version of Rotel tomatoes and a packet of taco seasoning. The roommate had left town a bit late in the morning and by the time the “soup” was cooked it was after noon so I just called that Lunch.      I was off today so I spent most of the day working on a script for a video that I want to release this Friday. Every Friday I want to release a video of the weird things that I've had to deal with while working at a grocery store. And this week I'm working on a thre

I threw a few slices of cheese in with them so, sure cheesy scrambled eggs with bacon. I'm sure that Chef Ramsay would have gone into seizures if he would have seen what I called “scrambled eggs”      I did manage to get the dishes done. There is a satisfying feeling looking at a cleaned room, I need to get around to cleaning more of my house. I did laundry last week and unlike the last couple of times I did laundry I put my clothes away. It seems like a simple thing, but it really does make a difference when waking up looking at a room full of clean clothes in baskets waiting to be put away and the dirty clothes everywhere vs clothes put away and the few days of clothes in the basket.      For lu

As I was not following the diet at all it wasn't a very good weigh in this week. I've been kind of a rebellious streak lately and my legs and wallet have been feeling it. I did get the video done in time to cook and eat breakfast but didn't have time to upload it before work.      On lunch break I ran home to upload it, it was kind of funny to run by a fast food place to grab a burger on the way to upload a weigh in video. But nearly $12 for one meal was just unwise.      Can't really think of anything to say today. Most of today was just kind of spent waiting for it to end. The weather forecast called for rain and thunderstorms, but

But I'm really not sure what's going on with my weight. I'm trying to not beat myself up too much, fluctuations happen but almost every weigh in so far this month has been an up. It's still down for the year and it's still lower than the average weight for last month. So overall progress, but a rough week. I don't know if it was the mac and cheese that I ate a few nights ago but somehow I doubt that something I ate three days ago will still be effecting me.      I was able to get a weekly weigh in video done. It's a rough weigh in considering that this is the first weigh in for February and the first weigh in video that showed an
