Keto/Sobriety Blog Jan 15, 2025

Weight: 344.2 lbs ( 156.1 kg) BMI: 44.2 Waist: 57.5 in (146.1 cm) WtHr: 77.7% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Baked Chicken Snack: Sea Salt Mixed Nuts Dinner: Bratwursts Drinks: Salted Coffee, Kroger Seltzer, Sugar Free Monster, Sober Week 4 (Day 30) YMCA: X Finally some progress on the waist. I know that it's going to be a “Vitamin P” kind of thing, but it would be nice if the waist line was as dynamic as the scale. I have noticed over the last couple of days the gut had been more “Saggy” and soft. Good news is that means I'm losing fat, bad news is that it's going to start drooping under my shirt if I'm not careful. But I'll take saggy gut over sore feet any day of the week. And on that point feet and shins felt amazing this morning. It sucked last night a screw came out of the back of my computer chair. I was able to put the screw back in. And it seems to be holding, but for a while I was thinking that I was going to have to buy a new one. That would kind ...

Not Very Ketogenic Daily Sobriety Blog June 30, 2024

Weight: 330.1 lbs (150.2 kg) BMI: 42.4 Waist: 54.5 in (138.4 cm) WtHr: 73.0% Breakfast: Pack of Bar-S hot dogs (regular) Lunch: Fried Chicken and Macaroni Salad Dinner: Taco Chili Mac Drinks: Kroger Seltzer Orignal and Blackberry Citrus, Sugar Free Rockstar, Sugar Free Red Bull Sober Week 2 (Day 15) Really slept in today. Not sure why, it wasn't really that late when I went to bed. Later than I've been wanting to, but not really as late as I have before. I woke up early enough to wake up properly, but not early enough to get a proper breakfast or do anything that I want to do. I took the time to scarf some hot dogs, but not the ideal breakfast that I would prefer. Work was a bit strange, people were acting like it was three times busier than it was. This became a really long “Mark whines about work” post. But I don't want these to be that. But I did get a chuckle at one guy. We were down two people because they called in “”Sick”” right before they were supposed to get t...

Daily Keto/Sobriety Blog June 21, 2024

Weight: 327.6 lbs (147.7 kg) BMI: 42.1 Waist: 54.5 in (138.4 cm) WtHr: 73.6% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: 4x Bar-S Jumbo Jumbos Dinner: Queso Soup Drinks: Kroger Seltzer Original, Pot of Coffee Black, 12oz Sugar Free Monster Energy, Powerade Zero Orange, 2x Kroger Energy Shot, Couple cups of water Sober Day 6 It's kind of creepy to weigh the exact same as the day before. Was able to take inventory before work and got a meal plan together. The “Dinner” list looks kind of funny because it's just Rib-eyes over and over. But I didn't have room in my freezer for all of them. Didn't have time to defrost the freezer and wow there was a lot of ice built up. I'll try to defrost it after work. Noticed that I was out of Chili. I don't usually run out of chili, I usually have some variety of chili. Sometimes multiple varieties. I'm going to have to fix that but then again I might want to wait until the freezer is a little less full. I was almost late for work...

Tired Waking Up and Tired After Work Daily Keto/Sobriety Diet June 20, 2024

Weight: 327.6 lbs (147.7 kg) BMI: 42.1 Waist: 54.5 in (138.4 cm) WtHr: 73.6% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Bar-S Jumbo Jumbos Dinner: Ribeye Drinks: Kroger Seltzer Original, Couple cups of Coffee Black, 12oz Sugar Free Monster Energy, Powerade Zero Orange, 2x Kroger Energy Shot, Couple of the large cups of water that the store provides Sober Day 5 Strange feeling waking up today. Physically well rested, but mind is tired. Hard to explain. Roommate went out back to the road today. I usually tease him about the rent money but I had to get to work. I'm just glad that I got through downtown before they closed Main Street. Apparently they're going to have a “Smallville Festival” downtown over the next couple of days. Roommate was very vocal about how much he hates everything to do with that. But then again listing things that he DOESN'T hate would be a considerably shorter list. I was kind of naughty for lunch. And bought some Jumbo Jumbo hot dogs. I'm sure that I ...

Really Tired Today Daily Keto/Sobriety Blog June 19, 2024

Weight: 325.6 lbs (147.7 kg) BMI: 41.8 Waist: 54.5 in (138.4 cm) WtHr: 73.6% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Chile Relleno Soup Dinner: Baked Bratwursts Drinks: Kroger Seltzer Original, Couple cups of Coffee Black, 12oz Sugar Free Monster Energy, 2x Powerade Zero Orange, 2x Kroger Energy Shot Sober Day 4 Woke up with a bit of a surprise in my bank account. For some reason I got paid today. I usually get paid on Thursdays It was close to the amount I was budgeting for. (it was a couple bucks more than I budgeted for, but overtime is hard to exactly calculate so I rounded down) I tried to log on to the site where my pay stubs get posted but the pay stubs haven't updated yet. They usually update Wednesday evenings. Also a nice surprise on the scale as well. Can't say if that's the 48 hour fast that I did the last couple of days, Keto diet, or daily fluctuations. But it's nice to be back under 330 lbs (150 kg) Roommate said that he had to have me run him around to do ...

Breaking the Fast Keto/Sobriety Blog June 18, 2024

Weight: 330.2 lbs (149.8 kg) BMI: 42.4 Waist: 54.5 in (138.4 cm) WtHr: 73.6% Breakfast: Fast Lunch: Fast Dinner: Ribeye Drinks: Kroger Seltzer Original, Pot of Coffee Black, 12oz Sugar Free Monster Energy Sober Day 3 Very fascinating. When I woke up this morning I didn't feel hungry. Muscles felt weak and I had a hard time thinking about anything. Not that I couldn't actually think, it was more like I couldn't get one thought done before five or six other thoughts tried to jump in as well. Spelling has been hard over the last dauy our twe a swel  Had a kind of a chuckle when I stood on the scale this morning and I was back to the weight of a couple of days ago. Yes, I had beer, then fried chicken, starved myself for a couple of days, and that brought me back. But that's not a healthy idea to entertain. I'm not planning on doing 48 hour fasts very often. It was easier than I thought to do. But I don't believe that starving yourself very often is a sustainable i...

Almost Walked Out Daily Keto/Sobriety Blog June 14, 2024

Weight: 330.0 lbs (149.7 kg) BMI: 42.4 Waist: 54.5 in (137.2 cm) WtHr: 73.6% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: 4x Bar-s Jumbo Jumbos Dinner: Chuck Shoulder Roast with Mushroom Gravy Drinks: Kroger Seltzer Original, “” Mango, Pot of Coffee with Cream, Celsius Mango Passion Fruit Sober Day 6 Couldn't get to sleep last night. Was physically tired, but brain was doing cartwheels all night long. I've made an observation. It's nice to stand up in the morning and not feel like I've stood up onto knives. Looking up the parts of the foot, the part known as the lateral arch is usually rather cranky when I wake up in the morning. But the last couple of days it hasn't been so bad. A lot of times when I stand up for the first time I'm sitting right back down with a yell of pain. But last couple of days, I'm not exactly dancing around, but at least I'm not having to convince myself that I have to power though it to get to the bathroom. The other day when Roommate ...

Scraching Some Itches Daily Keto Blog Feburary 22, 2023

Weight: 328.8lbs ( 149.1 kg) BMI: 42.2 Waist: 54.5in ( 138.4 cm) WtHr: 73.6% Breakfast: Bacon and eggs Lunch: Cottage Cheese with salt and pepper Dinner: Deconstructed Pizza Casserole Drinks: Couple of cups of coffee, ~2800ml water      Woke up this morning with a doozy of a hangover. It is true what they say about the Keto diet and hangovers. And that was after drinking an entire 24 pack of Michelob. I wasn't queasy or anything but again I woke up tired and my head felt like it was exploding. Had weird popping feelings in my feet that did NOT feel good. If I ever get around to seeing a doctor I'm definitely going to have them look at my feet. I'm fairly confident that walking around this long with more than double my supposedly "ideal" weight has caused some issues that ignoring is just making worse.      I actually had two days off this week. The last couple of weeks I've only had one day off, it was nice to have two this week. It kind of a mixed ...

At Last! My Arm is Complete Again! Daily Blog February 21, 2023

Weight: 330.2lbs ( 149.8 kg) BMI: 42.4 Waist: 54.5 in ( 138.4 cm) WtHr: 73.6% Breakfast: Bacon and eggs Lunch: Ribs Dinner: Ribs Drinks: ¾ pot of Coffee, 24pk Michelob Ultra      Spent all morning waiting for the delivery of the smart watch that I ordered last week. The site said that it'd be delivered between 8am and noon. And I woke up about 10. (Stayed up quite a bit later than I should have last night.) So I spent the first couple of the hours of the day staring at the front door, singing The Marvelettes. At noon it still wasn't here I refreshed the package tracking site and it said that it'd be here between 11:45 and 12:45. So naturally it got here at 12:45, after me staring at the door some more. I don't know why I'm so eagerly waiting packages when they are due in, I'm sure it would have been fine sitting in the mail box. And it took several hours for the watch to charge the battery and to update the software on it anyway so I didn't have to hav...

Daily Blog February 17, 2023

Weight: 331.6 lbs ( kg) BMI: 42.6 Waist: 54.5in ( cm) WtHr: 73.6% Breakfast: Bacon and eggs Lunch: Fathead Lasagna Dinner: Ultimate Cheeseburger Velveeta Dinner      Burnt the bacon this morning. :( It was still edible, but a lot more crunchy than I'd prefer. The last slab of bacon was small enough to sit flat in my cast iron skillet so I was afraid that it being effected by “shrinkflation” but that just might have been a smaller thing of bacon as the new slab of bacon seems to be big enough to not completely lay flat in the pan like the bacon before the last package.    Today was kind of a down day. Not really in a depressed way, it was just kind of overly bland. Just the kind of day where I was just waiting for the day to be over, because it just seemed like a day that was there to be waited through. The good thing is that the fuel points and digital coupons at work were working. I'm glad that issue was resolved. So maybe that's why today seemed so meh...

Admitting to a Lie Daily Blog February 6, 2023

Weight: 332.6lbs ( 150.9 kg) BMI: 42.7 Waist: 54.5 in ( 138.4 cm) WtHr: 73.6% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Instant Pot Beef stew Dinner: Baked Chicken Drinks: Pot of Coffee with cream, ~3,150ml Water    Woke up this morning with what felt like a bit of a hangover. No headache, jut stiff muscles and limbs. Not sure what that was about, possibly too much water yesterday? It was only a little less than a half gallon and men are supposed to be drinking a gallon per day. But one half of a gallon is a lot more than I usually drink. So might be body getting used to the extra water It might also be Keto Flu. I do know that I woke up several times last night to pee and had to pee all morning. So maybe the weight gain lately is water weight    Put so much thought into the monthly update Vlog that I can't really think of anything to say for the daily blog. So this might be fairly short. I am excited to get a second general update Vlog done in a row. I want to upload a V...

Hangover in the Feet? Daily Blog January 28, 2023

Weight: 331.4 lbs ( 150.3 kg) BMI: 42.5 Waist: 54.5 in ( 138.4 cm) WtHr: 73.6% Breakfast: Bacon and eggs Lunch: Beef and Turnip Stew Dinner: Bratwursts Drinks: Couple cups of Coffee with cream      Woke up this morning with a little bit of a headache. Not surprising considering yesterday's indulgence, but was kind of surprising was the fire in the feet and the stiff calf muscles. Kind of brought to mind what a coworker had told me when I was buying that Bud Light Next, he said that alcohol in itself is kind of a carb and it breaks down into sugar so a “Carb Free” alcohol is kind of impossible. This might need more research. I do know that Doc Berry is very instant that alcohol is just a poison and nobody needs to be drinking it, no matter what diet they're trying to do. So I don't know if the pain in the legs and feet are due to body dealing with some surprise carbs or dealing the poison of alcohol; maybe the pain in the feet and lower legs is because my body is focu...

Food Blog April 27, 2019

Weight: 331.6 lbs (150.4 kg) Waist: 54.5 in (138.4 cm) BMI: 41.4 Mood: tired Breakfast: Pot of Coffee, Taco Chili Lunch: 4 Piece Fried Chicken Dinner: 5 pack of Kroger cheddar bratwurst 1.25 L Diet Pepsi It was probably not a good idea to drink an entire liter of Diet Pepsi before bed. I did manage to go to bed at a reasonably decent time last night as I went to bed around midnight. I'm trying to get eight hours of sleep per night. But I just could not fall asleep. I was just tossing and turning until about 4. And then woke up around 8. But I am writing this part around noon. And I still can't seem to get going Today was rough. It was really hard to get past the “autopilot” I worked 2-11 today and I'm glad that most of the time I was a cashier and he hour or two I was a FES I am thankful that it was slow. I think the main problem that I am having is that I just didn't sleep as much as I should have this week. Monday night I acciden...

Food Blog 10/1/18

Weight: 332.3lbs Waist: 54.5 Mood: excited Breakfast: Pot of coffee, ½ box Chili Macaroni Hamburger Helper 4oz shredded cheese Lunch: Crunchy Cheetos, Chili, Energy shot, Cherry Sparkling water Dinner: Sir Loin Pork Chops, Cheesy Ramen I always find myself in a great mood at the beginning of each month.  But I do think I can do this daily food blog.  I'm planing on using this to keep me mindful of what I'm eating.  And I know that the Hamburger Helper, Cheetos and Ramen isn't exactly on the diet that I want to be doing.  But I am sure that I can eventually work towards the foods I want to be eating.

Daily Food Blog 9/17/18

Weight: 341.1 lbs Waist: 54.5 Breakfast: 5 pack Cheddar Bratwurst Lunch: Deli Baked Chicken Dinner: 3x apple-wood smoked bacon cheeseburger patties, chili, 2 liter sprite Notes: I haven't been doing these recently, but to be fair, I haven't done much of anything lately. I think an idea I had to save me time has backfired on me. Trying to save my computer I had started adding all of the videos of the YouTube channels I am subscribed to to the “watch later” playlist. And now I'm a week and a half behind on my video watching. I even started a spreadsheet tracking how much time is left in the playlist. (currently at 2 days 15 hours 35 minutes and 6 seconds for 362 videos) and it is growing each day. I have been waking up each day staring at my watch later playlist until I have to go to work or go back to bed. So I haven't been getting my own videos done, I haven't been planing out my meals. I haven't even been cleaning my house. ...
