Sober Month 5 (Day 161)
Woo back on track. I've been hard bingeing Oblivion over the last several days so I didn't take the time to make much progress on anything else. I had started a new play through so I can truly track all of the locations that I've discovered and that did put me in a bit of a funk as I was up to 60 hours on the last play through and restarted and all of that time was just wiped out. And starting that again kind of hurt. But this play through I've found 139 locations but only cleared 24 of them. That's 43% locations found but only 7% of the locations cleared. But I'm going to try to not have my time so absorbed by the game.
I'm going to stop tracking “Keto” days until (if?) Roommate goes back to work. I'm going to try to avoid carbs of course, but if Roommate buys Mac and Cheese, or anything like that I won't have to reset the count. When (if) he goes back to work I'll be able to control the food. And if I have to buy Hamburger Helper or something cheep like that it wont ruin any plans. Been stone Sober since December, but just can't seem to stick to the diet. And sure I shouldn't have had the potato chips at lunch, but I REALLY wanted the chips and I wasn't counting Keto anyway.
There was a 5 Hour Energy Shot that was on markdown (not sponsored) it was Hawaiian Breeze flavored. And WOW I can see, or rather taste if your being pedantic, why it was on closeout. It tasted like what I would imagine what sour moldy feet would taste like. I'm really praying that Hawaii's breezes smell better than what was ever in that little bottle.
I was really worried about Roommate yesterday. I will never claim to be a great housekeeper. But this time of year will just have flies. There are flies here, there are flies at the store. So it can't just be my housekeeping. But he was SCREAMING his lungs out at the flies that landed on him. This is on top of the screaming that he already was doing at the games he plays. He ended up repeatedly SLAMMING his video game controller into the table several times. Well, electronics don't like being slammed into a table repeatedly. He ended up KO-ing the controller. I thought he'd have a couple of days to save up to buy a new controller, but everybody has priorities and he asked for a ride to Gamestop for a new controller. I should have made him promise that I'd drive him over there he'd stop screaming at the video games. But while he was at Gamestop he did pick up a pack of games that included the “Metal Gear Solid” game series. Which is kind of funny to think about. Metal Gear Solid are sneaking games. Sure they give you guns, but the point of those games aren't to go around weapons blazing shooting up the place. I should have suggested that he bought another controller or at least perhaps warn the neighbors. I don't know if he played any Metal Gear Solid as he was back to screaming at Call of Duty all day today.
Roommate did do something that seemed impossible he made me look forward to going back to work. I had the last three days off and that was three days of listening to him screeching, and smelling him, and hearing him eat and drink. The first half of the day was really quite quiet. And it was nice that I didn't have to hear them screaming expletives. But the second half of the day people FLIPPED THEIR SHIT. I don't know what was going on. I was really starting to wonder if there was some kind of emergency going on or if I was the one actually having a problem because everybody seemed to be freaking out. All of the children were SCREAMING and I even saw several adults shivering and shaking in their stressed out state. Getting back to work it felt like I ran for three straight hours. I couldn't do any of my supervising stuff because I couldn't be heard over the roar of the crowd. It didn't start slowing down until it was almost time for me to go home.
I was glad that my new computer mouse came in today. I had ordered a new pair of pants and a new mouse a couple of days ago. Both are really nice. The pants have a phone pocket on the side of both legs so I can put my phone in either pocket and it isn't in the top main pocket getting in the way of my keys or anything else that I need from my pocket. And the old computer mouse the track wheel made the screen jump all over the place whenever I tried to scroll down. But the new mouse is so smooth, it's just so nice. The only frustration is that there is a light that shines out of the track wheel and it reflexes off of the computer screen
