I just kind of sat here at the computer counting down the time until I had to go to work. I worked Noon to Nine closing the Customer Service Desk instead of the normal 11a-8pm Supervisor shift that I usually do. I drank an entire pot of coffee, but I'm just sitting here zoned out. I had thought a couple of times that I need to get a plan together for what I'm going to cook on Tuesday for the weekly lunch. But then I zone back out. First half of the day went really smoothly. Not sure if I should write this down. This is being logged at lunch. I worked a 3:5 split so I went to lunch at 3pm and will have to work 4 to 9. The challenge of the first half of today was that I wasn't supervisor I was s...

Sober Month 4 (Day 146)
Keto Day 2

Wow, that was a drop. I'm not going to say that it was because I was back on the diet for one day, but that was a 6 lb (2.7 kg) drop the day after I got back to the diet.

Eating breakfast did kind of feel like a chore. I thought it would be good to eat. But I just didn't want to. Maybe I shouldn't eat breakfast when I feel like that. I wasn't sick, I just wasn't interested in eating it.

Had lunch with Grandma. It was busy at the restaurant so it was hard to have any kind of conversation. At least there wasn't any screaming children. I was glad that I was able to stick to the diet there. For the most part, I had the roll and that doesn't work well with the diet, but it was just one dinner roll. I had the Rib-Eye dinner. Which was the salad, steak, and a side. One of the options for the side was cottage cheese. Which is a lot better than any of the potato sides that they had available.

I did inventory and made a meal plan for the week. It was strange that the freezer seemed to be more full after I did inventory than before. I didn't even buy much as I still have enough lunches to last for another month. I only bought another five packs of bratwursts and some chicken. I'll be able to go a couple of weeks without buying more bratwursts. Something I'm nervous about is that the fridge doesn't seem to be very cool. The butter was soft, but it was sitting next to the pitcher of tea that I put in there. So I don't know if putting the pitcher of nearly boiling fluid just warmed the fridge so much it'll have to cool down again. Or if I need to defrost the freezer again or what. I really, really hope that the fridge isn't going out. I would hate to say, “Hey, Landlord. Thanks for the thousands and thousands of dollars for a new AC. Can I have a new fridge also?”

I hope I sleep alright tonight. When I went to get groceries I had a coupon for 2 Red Bulls. And they were on sale 3 for $8.  That's $2.67 each. Of course I bought the three of them. And then absentmindedly drank all three of them right in a row. I didn't even catch what I did until I finished the third can.

Roommate is screaming his lungs out because of how hot it is. And he's not going to be any happier tomorrow. The AC isn't going to get fixed until Thursday. Yeah, I get it that I'm not comfortable, but screaming doesn't make it any cooler. And he only started screaming and panting after it cooled down to 72 degrees (22 C). Maybe he was just screaming at his video games and projecting it to be about the weather and the house.

Played a bit of Oblivion. I'm starting to play what was originally the add-ons to the game. But they aren't as fun as the Crusader add-on. The crusader add-on had you traveling around the land collecting pieces of blessed armor, it kind of fell apart at the end boss fight. But the other add-ons have you “break a sedge” of five whole soldiers to get control of a castle and clear out a cave of a couple skeletons and you now own a pirate ship, and there's a wizard's tower. These sound like they'd be awesome to own. But once you clear out the enemies you have to pay for upgrades for the bases. At least they're all in game gold and there aren't micro-transactions. But they're just hey, congratulations on your pirate ship with the very uninspired skull and crossbones, pay 1,000 gold for each of the crew for the ship. You have a castle, pay 2,500 gold each for each of the 8 “upgrades” for the castle. I didn't look too closely at what the upgrades were because they just looked like grinding to get the gold to buy.
