Just so tired Daily Blog 8-8-21

Just had a hard time getting the momentum going. Worked noon until 8. I did wake up around 9 am, but all I seemed to manage to get done was counting down until the time I had to get ready for work. Which really seemed to come up fast. I did manage to get some bacon and eggs fried up. What was really strange was that I was feeling really quite up and motivated for most of the morning. But as soon as I started drinking the coffee I suddenly felt like I was way past half asleep. This was a very odd feeling. It did take me a bit to wake up properly, but that is a bit of the “A body at rest tends to stay at rest” kind of thing. But when I did manage to convince myself to get up I got a text from a coworker asking me if I could come in early; she had weekend plans that she hadn't planned for. I'm a bit annoyed by this, but I am pretty close to 40 hours and I'm not exactly in the position to turn down hours (not in an a precarious place so there is no need to worry, it's just that I could be in a slightly better position financially.) Day Trip to Glass/Gloss Mountain State Park

A while back my mom started a Facebook group to highlight her travels. And I suggested that we visit the closest mountain to where we live here in South Central Kansas. With phones that take decent pictures we headed south when our schedules aligned It was kind of interesting to see the wind farms in Harper County. Mom has some pretty hard core libertarian views. So when she saw me staring at the windmills we had some interesting conversations. (I personally try to stay neutrally aligned to political parties)   We were about twenty minutes out from our destination and we had yet to see any hills greater than what we'd see in most of Kansas. Before we left my roommate (who is a trucker, so he has travel experience) had told me that a trip to Oklahoma would just look like Kansas. And most of our trip did look like the highways between home and going over to Wichita. There were times when the trees and hills would open up and do what I call, "Let your eyes see for a while."

Car is Fixed (?) Daily Blog 4-27-21

But I do have to say that the Doritos taco with spicy ranch dressing is dangerously good.      Got my car oil change done. I took it to a local garage instead of back to the dealership. Last oil change I took it to the dealership and it took them five or six hours to do the change because they "don't follow their online appointments". I'm not sure if that makes much difference in much, but I thought it would be good to point out in case anyone gets confused by the sudden switch in the steaks that I'll be eating for the next week or so. (laughing at myself for typing that like anyone actually reads these)        Had a slow start to the morning. Woke up a bit late and it took a bit of convincing to get up and moving. I forgot to label the meat when I put it up in the freezer. I cleaned out the freezer and since I haven't been planing out my meals like I want to be doing all I had in the freezer are various (mostly unlabeled) steaks. So it kind of looks like I'll be doing a mostly carnivorous meal plan for the next week or so. Seriously I have about 12 steaks for the next week or so. I do plan on restocking the freezer. But I would like to go through all of these steaks that I have built up.      For lunch I had a salad kit that my store sells in the produce department. There are so many things that I want to do, have to do, need to do, but I just fall back into a vegetative like state where I'm either staring zombie style at my computer while YouTube plays or lumbering around the store at work.
