Weight: 344.2 lbs ( 156.1 kg) BMI: 44.2 Waist: 57.5 in (146.1 cm) WtHr: 77.7% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Baked Chicken Snack: Sea Salt Mixed Nuts Dinner: Bratwursts Drinks: Salted Coffee, Kroger Seltzer, Sugar Free Monster, Sober Week 4 (Day 30) YMCA: X Finally some progress on the waist. I know that it's going to be a “Vitamin P” kind of thing, but it would be nice if the waist line was as dynamic as the scale. I have noticed over the last couple of days the gut had been more “Saggy” and soft. Good news is that means I'm losing fat, bad news is that it's going to start drooping under my shirt if I'm not careful. But I'll take saggy gut over sore feet any day of the week. And on that point feet and shins felt amazing this morning. It sucked last night a screw came out of the back of my computer chair. I was able to put the screw back in. And it seems to be holding, but for a while I was thinking that I was going to have to buy a new one. That would kind ...

Not Sure If This One Counts Sobriety Blog Dec 3, 2024

Weight: 349.4 lbs ( 158.5 kg) BMI: 44.9 Waist: 58.5 in (148.6 cm) WtHr: 79.1% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Corned Beef Hash Dinner: Bratwursts Drinks: Kroger Seltzer, Sugar Free Monster, 12pk Busch NA Sober Day 3? YMCA: X Had a hard time getting going this morning. Not feeling physically, mentally, or emotionally bad. Just hard fighting the momentum of just sitting here. Another day where it was like the gravity is up too high or something. I did get around to getting the Bacon and Eggs done. Didn't take the time to have Coffee, but I'm pretty sure that I drink too much of that anyway. Had a good laugh at the radio. A commercial (I don't remember what company the advertisement was for) stated that they'll ALWAYS say “Merry Christmas” because it has always been and it'll always be Christmas to them. They did the spiel for their commercial, then they ended their commercial with, “And we wish you a happy and safe Holiday Season.” I'm going to be laughing a...

W eight: 351.4 lbs ( 159.4 kg) BMI: 45.4 Waist: 57.5 in (146.1 cm) WtHr: 77.7% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: St. Louis Style Ribs Dinner: Leftover Ribs Drinks: Pot of Salted Coffee, Kroger Seltzer Sober Day 3 YMCA: Swimming I was able to get up a bit easier today than I have been lately. It helped that I didn't have Twitter (I'm sorry “X”) on my phone. I couldn't find my tape-measure so I'm not 100% certain on my waist measurement, but I'm not going to guess that it changed much. My belly is feeling a bit tight, but that might be the Seltzer water that. I forgot that I wanted to wait until I was done at the Y to step on the scale. And when I first woke up I stepped on it and it said, 353.8 lbs (160.5 kg) That's 1.8 lbs (0.8 kg) up from yesterday. I tried to console myself with the idea of daily fluctuations and happiness isn't a number on the scale. That was a good motivator to go to the YMCA like I want to be doing. And when I got back from the Y ...

Breaking the Fast Keto/Sobriety Blog June 18, 2024

Weight: 330.2 lbs (149.8 kg) BMI: 42.4 Waist: 54.5 in (138.4 cm) WtHr: 73.6% Breakfast: Fast Lunch: Fast Dinner: Ribeye Drinks: Kroger Seltzer Original, Pot of Coffee Black, 12oz Sugar Free Monster Energy Sober Day 3 Very fascinating. When I woke up this morning I didn't feel hungry. Muscles felt weak and I had a hard time thinking about anything. Not that I couldn't actually think, it was more like I couldn't get one thought done before five or six other thoughts tried to jump in as well. Spelling has been hard over the last dauy our twe a swel  Had a kind of a chuckle when I stood on the scale this morning and I was back to the weight of a couple of days ago. Yes, I had beer, then fried chicken, starved myself for a couple of days, and that brought me back. But that's not a healthy idea to entertain. I'm not planning on doing 48 hour fasts very often. It was easier than I thought to do. But I don't believe that starving yourself very often is a sustainable i...

Watching YouTube and Cleaning House Keto/Sobriety Blog June 11, 2024

Weight: 329 lbs (149.2 kg) BMI: 42.2 Waist: 54 in (137.2 cm) WtHr: 73% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Baked Bratwursts Dinner: 11oz Top Sirloin Drinks: Pot of Coffee Black, Diet Pepsi, Kroger Blackberry Citrus Seltzer Water Sober Day 3 Nice, down three more pounds today. Still thinking that it's just water weight and daily fluctuations. But it's nice to be back under 330 Spent the morning trying to get the dishes done. Having a hard time getting momentum going. I feel considerably better mentally and emotionally, but I keep finding myself back sitting at the computer staring at YouTube. I keep telling myself that I'm just going to start a queue of interesting videos to have background noise while I'm doing housecleaning. The problem is that they're interesting videos. Trying to get house cleaned up because Roommate is coming home tomorrow and it wouldn't be fair to him to have him work for an entire month just to come in for home time and have him come home...

Weight: 331 lbs (151.8 kg) BMI: 43 Waist: 55 in (137.2 cm) WtHr: 74.3% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Instant Pot Chili with Cottage Cheese Dinner: Baked Bratwursts Drinks: Sugar Free Rockstar Energy Sliver Ice, Kroger Energy Shot, Several Cans of Kroger Seltzer Cranberry Lime and Mandarin Orange Sober Day 3 YMCA: Weights I got the hours and days mixed up in yesterday's post so I was able to get to the YMCA this morning. And I'm wanting to do swimming next week so I spent a few minutes in the weight room I had to struggle with the thought that I was doing everything wrong and I was just wasting time. I tried to use the counter thought of “Doing something is always better than doing nothing” but I really couldn't bring myself to do much in the weight room. I did feel a lot more confident and sure of myself when I was using the treadmill. But then again that's just walking. If I can't figure out how to walk by now I'm going to have a lot of questions with mys...

Weight: 334.8 lbs (151.9 kg) BMI: 43 Waist: 55.5 in (141 cm) WtHr: 75% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Lazy White Lasagna mixed with Cheesy Ground Beef Casserole Dinner: Pork Steak Drinks: Kroger Seltzer Cranberry Lime 2, Kroger Seltzer Water Lemon Lime 2, Kroger Seltzer Water Watermelon Sugar Free 3, Rockstar Silver ICE, 500ml Bottled water x6 Sober Day 3 Last night when I went to bed the daily meditation was titled “Hakuna Matata” and I couldn't help but think, “What a wonderful phrase.” But the voice over spent half of the lesson talking about The Lion King. And it kind of ruined the clever feeling of catching the reference. It's also kind of hard to fall asleep when you're listening to the meditative version of “Hakuna Matata”, it is a bit distracting Was a bit slow at falling asleep last night. Even with the meditation lessons. I wasn't as angry as I was the previous night. And I was quite relaxed, I just couldn't pass out. I am glad that I got to bed by m...

Weight: 338.0 lbs (153.3 kg) BMI: 43.4 Waist: 56 in (142.2 cm) WtHr: 75.7% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Bratwursts Dinner: Pizza Mix Drinks: Pot of Coffee with cream, 12pk Kroger Seltzer Water Mandarin Orange, 12pk Kroger Seltzer Cranberry Lime Days Without Beer 3 I remember waking up early this morning. (well, early for me) I had opened my eyes and jumped out of bed. This is not usual for me. I was up walking around at 7:30 this morning. That's usually one of the times when I “wake up” blink and then it's 9:30. But this morning I was up walking around laughing about how I was “eyes open jump out of bed” this morning. Not sure if that's due to Sobriety or because of Keto, but I did like how I felt this morning and for the most of the first three quarters of the day. It took a while to get focused enough to get breakfast cooked. Yeah, it was 7:30 when I was laughing about being up and moving around, but it was still 9:30 by the time I got started on breakfast. And al...

Another oddity was that even though I was fully awake both mentally and physically. I was just sitting here for a good several hours. I'd be sitting here, blink, and wow that was 45 minutes ago I need to get going and get things done, blink, that was an hour and a half ago.      I decided that I was kind of tired of bacon and eggs every day so I decided to have some of the diced ham that I had left over from yesterday's salad fried in butter, with some diced green bell...
