I just kind of sat here at the computer counting down the time until I had to go to work. I worked Noon to Nine closing the Customer Service Desk instead of the normal 11a-8pm Supervisor shift that I usually do. I drank an entire pot of coffee, but I'm just sitting here zoned out. I had thought a couple of times that I need to get a plan together for what I'm going to cook on Tuesday for the weekly lunch. But then I zone back out. First half of the day went really smoothly. Not sure if I should write this down. This is being logged at lunch. I worked a 3:5 split so I went to lunch at 3pm and will have to work 4 to 9. I saw a headline that apparently the shareholders of the parent company of my store think that the staff is underpaid and they are supposedly asking the company to pay us a “Living Wage” of at least $19 to $20. Yeah, that's not going to happen. I had just gotten a 25 cent raise. Raising it to $20, would be a nearly 25 PERCENT raise. Which would be a fun idea, it's just not going to happen. There was a digital coupon for the name brand coffee last week so I had took advantage of that to buy “Black Silk” flavored coffee, and I can't say that I like that flavor, it just tastes burnt. I've been wondering around the map discovering locations. So far I've discovered 50% of the locations, but only cleared 8% of all of them. A challenge with clearing the locations is that the designers of these dungeons seem to be allergic to straight lines and they are all winding confusing caves also clearing out the dungeon gathers loot. And my character can only carry so much at a time. So I'll clear a room, and them run back to town to sell loot, and then go back to the cave. I've been hard bingeing Oblivion over the last several days so I didn't take the time to make much progress on anything else. I had started a new play through so I can truly track all of the locations that I've discovered and that did put me in a bit of a funk as I was up to 60 hours on the last play through and restarted and all of that time was just wiped out. And starting that again kind of hurt. But this play through I've found 139 locations but only cleared 24 of them. That's 43% locations found but only 7% of the locations cleared. But today's weigh in has me wearing a pair of shorts, socks, and a shirt. (have to have some modesty) and comparing today's numbers to last weeks numbers really was quite encouraging. It was reading 325 ( 147.4 kg)! but the reader was flickering a lot. Losing 6lbs (2.7 kg) over night would be exciting, but it's more likely that there's something up with the scale. So I decided to check under the scale to make sure that it wasn't sitting on anything. Strangely enough there was a bit of a tortilla chip lodged in one of the feet of the scale. That would explain why the scale was acting strange. The real question is where the heck that chip came from. I haven't had nachos in months. Not surprising considering yesterday's indulgence, but was kind of surprising was the fire in the feet and the stiff calf muscles. Kind of brought to mind what a coworker had told me when I was buying that Bud Light Next, he said that alcohol in itself is kind of a carb and it breaks down into sugar so a “Carb Free” alcohol is kind of impossible. This might need more research. I do know that Doc Berry is very instant that alcohol is just a poison and nobody needs to be drinking it, no matter what diet they're trying to do.
