But whatever was going on with my sinuses seems to have started cleareding up early this afternoon. Which was a fascinating feeling. It felt like my head just kind of opened up. I still don't smell very good, but at least my head doesn't feel like it's splitting open. Had Thanksgiving round two at Mom's house this afternoon. But first I stopped by Grandma's house to swap out the burnt out bulbs on her Christmas lights. Last night she suggested that in the future she might invest in some light projectors so I wouldn't have to climb on top (strange that “ontop” isn't one word) of her house. I don't quite feel sick, it's just that whenever I bend down to pick anything up it feels like somebody smacked me with a 2x4 in the front of my face. When I woke up this morning and saw the weather I realized that there would be no better day to help Grandma setting up her Christmas decorations. I grabbed some Cold and Flu medicine on the way to Grandma's. Before I left the house I looked up the medicine on the store's website to see prices. I had to chuckle because there's only one review on that double pack of medicine. It's about half of the price as the name brand with the same active ingredients. What was funny about the review was that the medicine worked, but it tasted b...

I felt physically better by the evening. But people at work were pissing me off. Another instance of “What the hell is going on in our schools” a guy had a digital coupon for 2 litters of soda. (not sponsored) and was angry because he got 14 bottles of soda and they were supposed to be 99 cents with the digital coupon and he couldn't figure out why his total was twenty something dollars. Well, digital coupons are limit 5. And it took off the five bottles. He insisted that he knew it was limit five, that's why he got 14 of them. 14 is more than 5. He knew 14 is more than five, he works at a school. While I was trying to explain what the word “limit” meant to somebody who insisted ...

Some gunk in the back of my throat making my throat sore. Along with some sinus congestion. Ran out of bacon a couple of days ago so yesterday and today I had a pork steak for breakfast. I was going to have eggs to go with, but those steaks were pretty sizable so having a plate sized pork steak with four fried eggs seemed like a lot. I had just finished cooking the breakfast steak when Roommate came downstairs and announced that his doctors appointment this week is at 10am instead of the 11am it had been in the last couple of weeks and we needed to leave right then because it was just time to leave to get to his appointment. I put a lid on the skillet and since I have an electric stove the burner was still hot when I got back f...

I woke up this morning to a notification of a “Wind Advisory” on my phone we've been having wind gusts going up to 45 mph (72 kph) Back on Thanksgiving I told my Grandma that I was planning on putting up her Christmas decorations this coming Friday. She insisted that she did NOT want me up on her roof if the weather is bad. I thought about teasingly call her this morning and ask if I should go ahead and put them up today. With the 45 mph wind gusts. I know that she would have said no, but it would have been fun to mess with her. But I could just not wake up today. I had the regular bacon and eggs for breakfast. With breakfast I put a pack of Hot Chocolate...

My head feels like it was hit by a baseball bat from the inside. And my legs are stiff and sore. My throat was sore the last couple of days, it doesn't hurt this morning so I don't think that I'm getting sick, I just think that I overate yesterday and I'm recovering today. I wasn't looking forward to going to work this morning. I thought that I was working the self checkout lunch. I wasn't feeling good and I wasn't looking forward to dealing with other people who are also probably recovering from over eating yesterday. I knew that I feel bad, and I don't know if other people will realize that they feel bad and will try to blame everybody else for the way they feel...

No “Low Battery” no error message, nothing to indicate that it has any issue. I just step on it and it has no reaction. I opened the battery compartment to see if it just needs new batteries and the entire battery compartment is just corroded away. There's a lot of corrosion on both ends of each of the three batteries as well, so I'm not sure if the corrosion came from the batteries or from something wrong with the scale. But either way, the scale is dead and it'll be a week or so until I'll be able to get a new one. They don't cost very much, but I don't want to spend that much of my weekly allowance on a bathroom scale. I typicall...

Especially since I had Chicken Alfredo for lunch the entire week last week. And the scale gave me the same number three times in a row, so it wasn't glitching. I was debating on whether to or not to try to go back to the AI to try to get it to do the financial projection again. But I looked over the code...none of the bills listed in the code that it generated were the bills that I had told it. I had listed the various bills I expect during the year four times over the last three weeks and it eventually just forgets the bills that I have in the projection and just makes up new bills. I figured that I was just trying to build a more flexible version of the Quicken program that I already have on my computer. (Not spo...

I am typically scheduled to work 11am to 8pm. But this morning I was scheduled 7am to 4pm. Last night when I got off I had bought a Sugar Free Red Bull to put next to my bed so when the first alarm goes off I could slam that real quick, hoping that would help me wake up. I've read online that having multiple alarms to help you wake up is counterproductive (wow, can't believe I spelled that correctly the first time.) But I needed to make sure that I got to work. So I had set an alarm for every 15 minutes starting right at 6am. But yeah, I was able to wake up. But I didn't have time to get a proper breakfast so ...

I had spent the last couple of days with the Absolute Idiot trying to get it to do the projection correctly. It would look like it was doing the thing correctly and then I would notice that it didn't have the bills in the projection. And including the bills into the projection just broke everything. The main frustration was that I am using the free version of the site so I would have to do as much as it would let me do and then I would have to wait for the timer to reset, which would take several hours. It was starting to get kind of annoying as I would ask it to do something, it would ask for guidance on how it would ...

Heck, it's the lowest weight of the 2020's decade if I'm looking at my numbers right. And this time over 2024 and 2023 I was gaining considerably amounts of weight. Kind of blows my theory that the reason that I was gaining weight this time of year my body was getting ready for winter. I know that humans don't hibernate, but I would have assumed that we do have some of feature that would add some insulation in the winter. But no I was just eating and drinking too much in the previous years. (definitely drinking too much) It was exciting to do the grocery shopping as the total came to $92 when I usually budget for $150. It'...

Sleep tracker still says that I didn't fall asleep until close to 3am even though I went to bed around midnight. I do remember waking up in the night to run to the restroom so that might have reset the sleep counter so when I got up to use the restroom and went back to bed it thought the second half was the sleep for the night. The scale was nice. I mean it is frustrating to have the exact same number as it was yesterday. But that still is the lowest weight of this year and last. I went to bed last night before the AI finished the download file for the Financial Projection. This morning it kept having a hard time coming up with that file. It also offered to make tha...

Not sure what's going on. I feel dragging tired when going to bed, but when I go to bed I'm wired for sound. I was surprised to see the weight on the scale this morning. I stood on it several times and it gave me the same number four times in a row, so it is probably accurate. At first I was impressed with the 3.2 lb (1.5 kg) drop, but what got me really excited was this was the weight that was the lowest weight of 2024! All of 2025 I've been wanting to get down to the lowest point of last year. Now to see if I'll be able to stick to that low of a weight. The Absolute Idiot messed up the Financial projection again. Although I didn't sleep very well I was able to get up early enough to have breakfast and coffee. I was kind of worried that I would be able to do so. When I first go to work I was just dead tired but it was too busy to sneak away to get the Sugar Free Red Bull that I would normally drink at work (not sponsored) I was able to sneak in an energy shot. I thought the scale was glitching again, but each time I stood on the scale it gave me the same (ish) number! That's the lowest weight so far this year. That's 0.8 lbs (0.4 kg) pounds from the lowest weight last year. Yesterday they called me to ask if I wanted to come in an hour early to cover somebody's lunch because the lady who was supposed to do that lunch had a doctor's notice that she can't work for the next several days. Thank you to all who served. Quick post because I spent the day at Mom's house doing laundry. I don't know what happened to the entire evening as I got home around 8 (I think) I did inventory of the food in the freezer and then cooked the Cabbage Soup that I'm planning for dinner and I was shocked to see that it was 11:30. well, I did have to run to the store at around 9pm to grab a bag of cauliflower rice that I had forgotten when I did the shopping this morning while Roommate was at his doctor's appointment. It really shouldn't have taken two and a half hours to cook that soup. It's not a complicated soup.  As I was at Mom's house when I would have normally had lunch I didn't have lunch. 1,000% certain...

The scale was consistent this morning.   Spent the day working with the AI aka “Absolute Idiot” you wouldn't think that it would be so hard to convince a computer to do math. I did kind of chuckle when I realized that I was basically using Chat GPT to program Google Colab into doing what Quicken (not sponsored) is already doing. Oh well, the AI projection is a lot more flexible than what Quicken is able to do. I was slightly annoyed by it because I thought I had it all going fine and so I had ran out to grab a 12pk of seltzer and some cheese for tonight's dinner and when I got back and logged the spending into the projection the totals on the projection didn't change despite just spending $6.07...

It did finally seem to get the hint of what I was trying to do. It was trying to do a lot of programming code and it finally gave me a widget in the code so I could just input my daily spending so it doesn't have to regenerate the entire code every time I spend anything. I'm going to try to avoid buying anything, but I might pick up an energy drink or two. But I think the savings plan is going to work out just fine. What's really fun is that according to the projection I might be adding to General Savings by the end of January. Some people get really up in arms about the Daylight Savings Time changing back and forth, I am flexible enough to not be too bothered about it. It is a strange concept though. I got the email this morning that the pants that I ordered the other day had finally shipped. Err “finally” I had just ordered the pants on Thursday and they're due to come in tomorrow. What was kind of confusing is that the email says that they're being shipped by the USPS and they're still scheduled to be delivered on Sunday. I'm guessing that it's easier to put energy (heat) into an area than it is to take it out of an area (Air Conditioning) so the heater doesn't have to work as hard as the air conditioner so the heater is not on as much as the AC. I found the tape measure. Surprise, surprise it was on my desk next to where my coffee cup was from yesterday.  When I got to work the manager told me to cover the hours of a guy who had just gotten rehired. There is a attendance point system that I don't feel like going into right now and he was late and called in too many times and was fired.
