Dealing with a new App and Laundry Day with a Blessed Family Daily Keto/Sobriety Blog December 21, 2023

I'm not sure if that is a sign of progress or not, but it is nice to stand up and not feel like the bottom of my feet are being Tased while being on fire. Legs were still a bit stiff and I had a pain in the back of my head but those went away as I got up and moving around.      I put a quarter teaspoon of salt into the coffee this morning because the entire teaspoon of salt that I had put in that cup was a bit too much.      I had decided to download the app that the doctor suggested to install to tack the eating habits. The frustrating thing is that I am planning on doing my version of “Me

I am using the last of the Paid Time Off that I have for the year. So I'll have four days off instead of two and when I got up this morning my computer updated the video driver and I thought it'd play games a bit better (it's been looking a bit rough lately) but what game did I play to see if my computer is playing games well? Minecraft. Not the game that pushes the computer the most. I was just going to start it up for a bit, but I kind of got pulled in. I just kind of looked up and it was close to 10 hours later. I really didn't even do anything. I really just flattened out an area to start a farm and the wall to go around it. I did explore a b

I had set my alarms to try to wake up before dawn again. But again I just went back to sleep. I need to work on trying to get out of bed when my alarms go off. I had to work at 10 instead of 11 this morning and it kind of threw off the entire day. And I spent the entire day counting down until the end of the day as tomorrow I'm going back to vacation. I know that I had vacation a couple of weeks ago, but I am trying to use up all of my PTO before The Holidays start I'm trying to come up with anything to say about today, but it was just such a “beige day”      Feet and calves did hurt a bit in the morning, the calves did soo

And I don't know if I used up all of my creativity in that video or what but now at my lunch break when I'm starting to write out the daily blog I'm hitting a bit of a writers block. There are quite a few strings that I kind of grasp at that would be a good idea to write down, but they keep evaporating before I get the idea formed. This is a bit disconcerting considering that I was planning on working the General Update video this evening after work. The General Update video is a video that I want to release the first Monday of the month, but I work all day tomorrow and there's a

I did lay around for a bit, but not as long as I have been doing. I am excited that I got the phone bill paid. I usually get it paid by the end of the month, but if I don't pay it on the first there is a fee. So that is one fee that I'm going to avoid for October. I would like to pay all of my bills on the first if I can, but again this month I'm going to have to spread out the bills for the next couple of weeks. I'm still a little shaken from them shutting off the water a couple of days ago. But that was just an error on my part, which should not happen again. (I thought I had paid it after the due date and I had thought the warning was sent a

Kept telling myself that I need to get up, but body just liked how the bed felt in the morning. This has been the case for a while. I really need to find a way to convince myself that I need to get up and going when I wake up, but I lay in bed all morning long telling myself of all of the cool things that I want to be doing, if I ever get up and going. But then I lay there until I have to get ready for work. When I did get up and moving this morning my legs were extremely stiff, and it felt like something took a bite out of the back of my left leg. I'm going to guess it's an electrolyte issue. As any time someone on Reddit says something about not feeling well the general response is "

I didn't have that energy last week. I've been doing pretty good on the diet over the last couple of days, and I have been feeling a lot better than I have been. I haven't been blogging just because it really just felt pointless. Not that I myself am pointless, but I just couldn't think of why anyone would give a damn about the absolute nothingness that the last several weeks have been. And naturally as I'm sitting down at the end of the day to try to get back into the daily blog my brain has gone completely blank on all of the stuff I wanted to talk about today.      Kind of a bummer this week, it is the week of my birthday. Normally I'd take the week of my birthday off for PTO, but something happene

And I thought it might be interesting to try meditation. And that was the last thing I remember from last night. I don't even remember going to bed. I'm not sure if that means that the meditation worked or if I just fell asleep. Or if that's a sign of meditation working.      I really should have closed the windows before going to bed last night because it was really freaking cold this morning. I'm pretty sure that it was 42 degrees (5.6 C) this morning when I woke up. That really got me woken up. But the feet and legs were really burning. Again once I got up and going the burning went away. The burning in my feet and ankles were rather disconcerting along with the weight tracking back upwards. I'

I hope that this isn't something wrong with my computer.  Weight: 333.2 lbs ( 151.1 kg) BMI: 42.8 Waist: 56.5 in ( 143.5 cm) WtHr: 76.3% Breakfast: Bacon and eggs Lunch: Hot Dogs w/Mustard Dinner: Baked Chicken Drinks: Pot of coffee, ~4500ml Water      Had a bit of a hard time getting moving this morning. I did gain consciousness at around 7am, but it took me about an hour to get moving. The weather was a nice cool spring day and the windows were open and nobodies heaters or air conditioners were running and it was really nice and comfy. I live right next to the High School and it's nice when their climate control is off. It is just so quiet when it's not running.      First half of work went really quite smoothly. I was kind of nervous because I was going to be running self checkout for three hours and decide

I did get a chance to stand on the scale before work, but after work Roommate and I went to see the new Dungeons and Dragons movie. And it was very entertaining. Action was fun, visual effects were amazing, but the writing? Wooofff. I don't remember the last time I laughed that hard in a movie theater, but I don't think I was laughing at the things that they were wanting me to laugh at. The actors did what they could with what they were given, but if someone like ME can see plot twists and turns before they can happen and determine the antagonists plan before their reveal, there's something wrong with the movie. It also tended to rely heavily on exposition to explain the characters backgrounds and what their motivations are. An

This is one of the benefits of the meal planning that I want to be doing. Sure there are a lot of dishes to do once or twice a week, but for most of the rest of the week all you need to do is rinse off the bowl or plate you ate lunch or dinner in/on.      Had hot dogs for lunch. I was out of mustard at home so I picked up a bottle of spicy brown mustard. But I put too much on the hot dogs and that stuff was really sour and bitter and kind of made lunch that particular flavo

There's been a couple of weeks where I've had to decide between breakfast and weigh in video. LOL That makes it sound dramatic, but I am proud that I have yet to skip out on a weigh in video this year so far.      Today was first day back from PTO, can't really call it “Vacation” I didn't go anywhere. The first day back is always a day that takes a lot of self control. With how I have to repeat myself, repeat myself, repeat myself. If I keep it up, by the end of March I'll have more posts on here than I did all of last year.      I came home from work for lunch. For the last several days I've been wanting to set up the slow cooker with a chuck roast that I bought a couple of weeks ago with a digital coupon. It was in the freezer for most of that time so it's still good. But I keep forgetting to set it up before I head back to work. But didn't get moving in time to get it uploaded before work I was going to get it posted during by lunch break. But I did a bit of shopping during my lunch break and I set up the slow cooker with a chuck roast for dinner. There was an amazing digital coupon on the chuck roasts. Digital coupons have a limit of five of them, so naturally I picked up five of them. There's a digital coupon on ribs as well, I'm debating whether or not to pick up more ribs. I still have a couple of racks left from the last time there was a digital coupon on them. They're in the freezer, so they're not going to go bad anytime soon, but I'm not sure if I want to keep filling the freezer with the same foods over and over. Bu

He discovered an AI chat bot that is helping him write a novel. He's encouraging me to use it to improve my YouTube channel, and I might look into using it to improve my blog. I might look into it, but I'm kind of nervous about having an AI to take over my videos or blogs. I chose the complete omelet because it seemed to be the thing that had the least carbs in it. Of course that meal comes with hash browns and pancakes. I know that I could have asked them to hold off on those, but I didn't have the guts to ask. It probably seems silly, but I didn't want to be a complicated customer. And of course there wasn't anyone sho

That could be seen as a frivolous purchase. But at least I was able to buy something for myself. I spent the tax money so fast, I should probably register as a Democrat. To be balanced I should tell a joke making fun of the Republicans, but they make enough of a joke by themselves.      It was the day before an expected snowstorm, so it was pretty active at work. My feet didn't hurt this morning, but I just think that's because I was sitting down all day yesterday. Kind of had a hard time waking up this morning, but that was more like “a body at rest” than anything else. But then again when I'm doing good on Keto I can jump out of bed before alarms even go off. It is an interesting coincidence that my weight got down the exact same lowest weight for last month and then went back up again. It was probably too much diet soda yesterday. I am excited that my waist measurement is down. I don't think I've had a 54 inch waist since 2018. This wasn't even "creative rounding" or anything. It really was right at 54 inches! And like 330 lbs (149.7 kg) 54 inches (137.2 cm) seems to be another hurdle that I struggle with. So if I can make progress on that it would be quite exciting. Weekly Weigh Ins really aren't that hard, it's just a matter of getting out of bed before I have to get running for work.      It looks like the two nights that I ate spaghetti led to quite a bit of weight increase three and half pounds in two days as apposed to the loss of an average of nearly a pound per day for must of the days this week so naturally I picked up a box of mac and cheese on the way home this evening.      The plan this evening was going to be cook dinner proper; a pork steak, and an impromptu box of mac and cheese that I decided to pick up for no reason, and while those cook I was going to start up the Instan
