Probably a bit of TMI in this one
So didn't get
around to making a post yesterday as the toilet was backing up into
the bathtub. This has happened before, but rarely. I was praying that
it was just the main sewer line like it was previously. IF that was
the case they would just send someone out to clear the line. I called
the landlord and he came out while I was at work. But when landlord
came out he and Roommate checked the kitchen sink and that wasn't
backing up. Meaning it was a clog in the upstairs sewer system.
Meaning that the plumber had to go go upstairs. So I spent the free
time panic scrubbing the bathroom. That bathroom hasn't been this
clean in years.
I woke up
surprisingly early this morning. I ran over to the gas station for
bathroom business, but it felt awkward to go into a store without
buying anything. So I picked up a Slim Jim, 5 Hour Energy Shot, and a
Powerball ticket. Because, sure, Luck has been a bit crap (pun
intended) and that would be a hell of a way to start the new year.
The strange thing
is that while the plumber was working I drove the roommate to the gas
station so he could relieve himself. When I got back the plumbers
snake was sticking out of the roof vent. I thought this was odd, I
was under the impression that plumbers snakes were supposed to go
down, but he did get the drains to well, drain. But after he left I
was cleaning out the sink and water was coming out of the cabinet
under the sink. I'm not sure if something is wrong with the pipe, or
if it just wasn't tightened correctly. But Landlord is going to come
out this evening to take a look.
After the plumber
came by Roommates nurse came out to manage his leg and the plan is
when I'm home when the nurse comes by I take the dog for a ride so
the dog doesn't have to be locked up in the room or get in trouble
with getting in the way. The dog isn't mean or dangerous, he just
gets WAY too excited. Took the dog to the park to walk him around and
that damned dog tries to strangle himself every time he's on a leash.
And whenever he's in the car he's yapping and yowling the entire
time. Which doesn't make sense to me, he's a trucker dog, why is he
so excitable riding in a car?
Really didn't
feel like having lunch, but the bag of chips were sitting there.
After I ate it my stomach was not happy. Right after the Landlord
called Roommate saying that he was on the way I had to go. But it
didn't seem to smell for very long and it was cleared by the time he
got here. The sink seemed to be an easy fix, apparently the plumber
forgot to put a clamp on the pipe going into the wall. How does that
happen? Who the flip knows, but it's sorted now. I really am glad that I have a Landlord that always gets things fixed right as I bring things up.
