I know that it's going to be a “Vitamin P” kind of thing, but it would be nice if the waist line was as dynamic as the scale. I have noticed over the last couple of days the gut had been more “Saggy” and soft. Good news is that means I'm losing fat, bad news is that it's going to start drooping under my shirt if I'm not careful. But I'll take saggy gut over sore feet any day of the week. And on that point feet and shins felt amazing this morning. It sucked last night a screw came out of the back of my computer chair. I was able to put the screw back in. And it seems to be holding, but for a while I was thinking that I was going to have to buy a new one. That would kind ...

I didn't get around to posting yesterday. Roommate was discharged from the hospital in the next state over, but he didn't have any family members that could go over and pick him up. I have to say that the Flint Hills really are quite stunning. They must be quite beautiful in the spring and summer when everything is green. Instead of the brown, brown, with a bit of brown mixed in that we have here in late autumn/early winter. I think I startled my mother when I posted on Facebook the picture of my dinner saying that this was the first time I had ever visited a Waffle House. It was an impromptu 14 hour road trip that I didn't tell anybody about. I rarely ever leave my house on a normal day, and then “Surprise, I'm in Springfield Missouri!”

Roommate had his in home nurse visit to help change his bandages. We did scramble to clean up the living room a bit before she got here. While the nurse was here I took the dog for a walk so the dog wouldn't bother the procedures. I'm not sure what his plan is for the dog during times when the nurse is here, and I'm at work. He mentioned something about the basement, but the dog is deathly afraid of the basement and has yet to go down there. House really isn't as clean as it could be, but Roommate said that the nurse didn't say anything about the house. We both agree that it really does need to be cleaned up.

After Roommate was done with his nurse I dropped off his dog so I could run over to Walmart to get new pants. And yeah, four days before Christmas, Walmart was PACKED. But I didn't really have much option. I had bought a couple pairs of pants back in September. And I miss when pants lasted longer than two or three months. One pair the button popped off, the other one the crotch ripped out, and my last pair was starting to...smell. I did manage to avoid buying any beer. But I was hungry and went ahead and picked up a pack of Johnsonville Cheddar Jalapeno Sausages. Interestingly I didn't have a temptation to pick up any beer. Frustratingly the pair of jeans that I picked up doesn't have a phone pocket. I'll have to pick up a belt clip. I thought about returning the pants, but it just seems silly to return a pair of pants that fit (a bit tight for now, but they'll wear in) just because of a single accessory pocket.

Dinner was a chuck roast that I had put in the slow cooker with a can of Cream of Mushroom Soup, a pack of Lipton Onion Soup Mix, and a stick of butter. I snagged a packet of Roommates Beef Flavored Ramen to go with the Roast. The Ramen isn't the most Ketogenic addition to the meal, but it was a good tasting combination. So, yeah. Almost Keto really isn't a thing with the Ketogenic diet, but at the moment I'm focusing more on the quitting of the alcohol than the carbs

I have a feeling that I'm going to sleep quite well this evening. I don't normally have a hard time falling asleep. But I didn't have any caffeinated drinks since this morning when I finished off the coffee. Many days I'm drinking energy drinks/shots all through the day. But today was just coffee in the morning and then seltzer all day long.
