The microwave didn't do the steak very many favors. It tasted good, but it was all kinds of dried out. I now have bits of meat stuck in my teeth      I think I figured out the source of these damn flies. And probably why my kitchen smells like rancid pee. A week or so ago I made a rack of ribs in the Instant Pot and I'm just now getting around to doing the dishes; I really need to do dishes a lot more often. This once a week or waiting until all of the forks and plates are used up really is just breeding flies and bad smells.      But that leads to the question of when am I going

I tried to make the eggs over easy again, but as soon as my spatula touched the eggs to turn them they just scrambled. I usually cook the eggs in a cast iron skillet. But that was dirty from yesterday so I was cooking in a different skillet, it's not a Teflon pan, it has some sort of light brown covering across the cooking surface. Usually it's a pretty good non stick pan, but this morning I just couldn't get the spatula under the eggs.      Work was frustrating as always. Underpaid, understaffed, overworked. But at least eve

I still haven't gotten the bacon right, it's always burnt halfway to charcoal or still half raw. Sometimes on the same strip. I'm kind of starting to see the greatness of over easy eggs. But they do seem to be a pain to eat compared to eggs cooked hard. It almost seems necessary to switch back between a fork and a spoon. And I was really clumsy and irritable this morning. The other day I had bumped into a door frame and I now have a heck of a bruise on the back of my left arm. And everything I touch seems to end up on the floor, or seems to knock something else onto the floor.      If I ever get the energy I seriously need to cl

And daily fluctuations in weight is a normal thing. I didn't have the most Keto friendly breakfast this morning. But I have a couple of boxes of Hamburger Helper in my cabinet that I need to get through.      Was not very productive before work today. I normally work 11-8, but today I was scheduled to work 2-10. I spent the day thinking of all of the stuff I was going to do before work. And spent the day counting down how much time I had before I had to get to work. I keep doing this, and this is one of my biggest frustrations in my life. I spend all of my time counting down h

I'm going to be honest I've fallen into the trap of alcoholism. For some time I've been picking up a case/pack of beer after work, drink that entire case/pack of beer and then do the same the next day. I was drinking Michelob Ultra, because it said “Low Carb” on the side of the packaging. This led up to $16/per night every night (except for Sunday when you can't buy alcohol). So this stuff has been poisoning me mentally, physically, AND financially. I haven't yet noticed a physical “need” to have a beer, (although it's only been two or three days since my last beer) but I have noticed a
