Another oddity was that even though I was fully awake both mentally and physically. I was just sitting here for a good several hours. I'd be sitting here, blink, and wow that was 45 minutes ago I need to get going and get things done, blink, that was an hour and a half ago.      I decided that I was kind of tired of bacon and eggs every day so I decided to have some of the diced ham that I had left over from yesterday's salad fried in butter, with some diced green bell pepper and scrambled

I didn't have that energy last week. I've been doing pretty good on the diet over the last couple of days, and I have been feeling a lot better than I have been. I haven't been blogging just because it really just felt pointless. Not that I myself am pointless, but I just couldn't think of why anyone would give a damn about the absolute nothingness that the last several weeks have been. And naturally as I'm sitting down at the end of the day to try to get back into the daily blog my brain has gone completely blank on all of the stuff I wanted to talk about today.      Kind of a bummer this week, it is the week of my birthday. Normally I'd take the week of my birthday off for PTO, but something happene

Dude tripped over one of the wheel stop, parking block, curb stop? Whatever that thing is called. He insists he's fine, but I'm a bit concerned about his complaints about his chest and knee hurting. He's due to go back on the road on Monday (he's an over the road trucker) He'll see how he's doing Sunday evening to if he'll go back on the road.      Today was crazy busy at the store again. But it is the first Friday of the month right before a major holiday. (not that we get holiday pay for Easter or anything) It is kind of interesting that the people who get offended by saying “Happy Ho

I was thinking about making the entire blog post by making all of the words in alphabetical order. But 1. That would be a serious pain in the ass. 3. I'm sure no one would get the joke. And 2. It's likely nobody would see it until the next day anyway.      Woke up with some strange pain in the feet. There was the rolling pain like I had the other day. But only when I stood up the first time. It actually made me sit right back down. But when I stood back up it was gone. Legs were a bit sore, but only until I started moving around. They haven't felt this good since January, when I was last doing good on my diet consistently. My back has been a bit sore all day though. It feels

This is one of the benefits of the meal planning that I want to be doing. Sure there are a lot of dishes to do once or twice a week, but for most of the rest of the week all you need to do is rinse off the bowl or plate you ate lunch or dinner in/on.      Had hot dogs for lunch. I was out of mustard at home so I picked up a bottle of spicy brown mustard. But I put too much on the hot dogs and that stuff was really sour and bitter and kind of made lunch that particular flavo

He suggested that we go to Village Inn for breakfast. And all of the way from the rental place to the restaurant I was thinking I just need to order off of the Al Le Carte section of the menu. But when we got there I chickened out from ordering anything fancy. And it's been quite some time since I've had a chicken fried steak. The waitress asked me if I wanted pancakes or biscuits and gravy. And it's been a REALLY long time since I've had “Shit on a shingle” And those were really good buttermilk biscuits (still crappy hash-browns) so breakfast was not Keto,

And the weight is trending upwards over the last couple of days. Trying not to worry about the daily fluctuations, but it does seem to be tracking up lately. The weigh in video this morning had the same weight as last weeks weigh in. I have lost 14 lbs (6.3 kg) this month, so the trending up might just be a bit of body recovering from the loss of that much and getting used to the new diet. So yes, it might bounce up a bit more, but I wont get too upset unless it bumps back up over 340 lbs (154.2 kg)      Google says that the size of eggs doesn't matter when you're frying eggs. But these medium eggs seem to fr

The price of eggs are starting to become a meme. My sister-in-law had some chickens and I was going to get the guts to ask her if I could buy some eggs from her, but Mom told me that a raccoon got into her chicken coop and enjoyed some “Chicken tartare”      I didn't have to work until 1pm that's two extra hours to get house cleaned up to do another recipe video tomorrow after I get groceries. That is if I ever get up and doing anything. Got most of the dishes done, I'll try to convince myself to finish them when I get home from work. I'm more than a little cranky that I didn't get a notification that I was getting a charge before, “Okay, here's your receipt” also that when I click on the “how to get a refund” link the site that is brought up doesn't show the charge on the list of subscriptions, or the history of purchases. But whatever it was a charge for a renewal for a program that is on my computer, and the card that was used for that program is now canceled so I shouldn't be getting any more surprise charges from that. Last night when I got home I was about to raise an unholy stink at my bank. It looked like there was another charge from Avast on the acco

But I just couldn't get moving today. It was a different kind of not wanting to move than I've had before. Before the lack of wanting to move was more of a dread of what lies ahead of me when I do get moving. (should probably look into getting help with that kind of feeling) But today was more of a Newtonian momentum kind of thing. “A body at rest will stay at rest” And I was “well rested” this morning. I woke up, er gained consciousness, at about 8 am. Can't really say that I “woke up” when I was just laying there like that. All week long I had to keep reminding myself what day of the week it was. The drama with Avast and my bank really threw off the stuff I wanted to do this w

Still kind of annoyed that I'm not under 340 lbs (154.2 kg) but getting close!       When I went by the bank to see what's up with my debit card. And I'm more than a little annoyed by Avast antivirus. Apparently they had an automatic renewal charge on my account. And they didn't send me an announcement that they were going to charge me until I got an email saying that the payment was unsuccessful. As I was unaware that I had a charge coming up I didn't budget for it. And as I didn't have money in the account for the charge and I have a “Fresh Start” loan on my account I don't have overdraft privileges right now. So the payment was rejected. As the paymen

Breakfast: X Lunch: Hot Dogs Dinner: Leftover Pork Steak Soda: Sparkling Water, 2L Big K Diet Soda      Great weigh in this morning. This put me into an AMAZING mood. I was actually singing and dancing around and I was even randomly braking out into giggling fits...And then I got to work.      That was a mood switch so strong I should have been wearing a neck-brace. I took too long making the weekly weigh in video to get breakfast cooked so I just went into work a few minutes early and when I got there the customer service manager was on her lunch break, she said that I was in for an interesting day. As it was New Years Day and also Sunday I asked her if people were trying to buying a lot of beer. (As we can't sell beer on Sunday) She seemed a bit confused by my question. She said, no. We had one person not show up, two people call in sick and one person that had quit a week ago and no one h

Bit of a Scare on the Way Home from Work Daily Weigh In 10/23/2022

Not a great weigh in compared to the last couple of days, but really not bad compared to the last weigh in video. Didn't get video done in time to make breakfast before work. Made the first half of work last a long time. What really caused the first half of work to be REALLY LONG was the fact that I had forgotten my phone at home. I know that I really shouldn't be playing with my phone at work, but leaving the phone at home really makes for a long day. Particularly each time the hand brushes past the phone pocket and I think about how I need to run home on my lunch break to grab my phone. Ran home for lunch and my phone. That's when I uploaded the weigh in video. I got the editing done this morning, but had to

I seem to be out of the Diet Big K Forgot to pick up bacon last night. So no breakfast. Oh, well. Not really that hungry this morning anyway. I did the computer evaluation for the HR lady. She said that she'll call me on Tuesday to discuss the results of the evaluation. But it would be nice to have any kind of indication before than. I was kind of expecting a score at the end of each quiz. But no it would just say that the evaluation was complete and it would just go back to the list of remaining quizzes. So yeah, more than a little nervous for Tuesday. Is it strange that I'm more nervous about the report card than I was about the interview? Work was alright. Short staffed as always. But at least today we didn't have anyone yelling at us to open more

Drinks: a few cans of diet coke and diet Dr Pepper, 4 cans of Milwaukee's Best ICE Beer, sparkling water, Kroger energy shot, I feel that the phone interview went alright this morning. But I am REALLY not comfortable talking about myself in a promotional manner Interviewer: What's your strengths Me: Durrr Interviewer: What's some of your weaknesses Me: Duhhhh I feel that these are reasonable and regular questions. But when I'm trying to describe myself I just go immediately into. “Me is am no talking goods” I was so focused on the phone interview this morning that I almost forgot to do the blog post. The call only took about 20 minutes but I was just sitting here processing all of the “should have said” and “could have said” thoughts when I was starting to get hungry. I debated for a bit whether or not to finish off the bacon I had in

Work was okay, we actually had everyone show up today. Still understaffed like crazy. Was oddly crazy busy. I don't know why it's been so busy this last week or so. The only thing that I can think of is that now that autumn is in full swing the sun is starting to do down earlier and when people see the sun going down they freak out and run to the store. Even though the store is open till 10 every night. But that's just how people think/act. I know that the Mac and cheese is about the opposite for the Keto diet that I keep saying that I want to be doing. But I was planning on using some boneless chicken thighs that I had left over from the last t

Didn't get a chance to stand on the scale this morning Breakfast: Doritos w/Queso Lunch: Johnsonville Jalapeno Cheddar Sausages, Macaroni Salad Drinks: 2x Sparkling waters, 2x Kroger Energy shots, 2L Pepsi Zero Wild Cherry Dinner: Pork steaks      Finished off the Doritos and queso for breakfast this morning I forgot about the “Don't eat unless hungry” part of the plan. I'm not going to beat myself up about it very much. It is something that I do wish I would stick to. But I'm not going to hate myself if I don't stick to it.      Macaroni Salad sounded really good during lunch. A coworker that I've told that I am wanting to do a low-carb diet asked me if macaroni salad is low-carb. I don't think that they were trying to call me out, or be snarky or anything. I just think that they were trying to make conversation. But I had to sheepishly explain that I was just falling for a craving.      It was one of those amazingly rare days where everyone actua

And again, I am going to try avoiding eating if I'm not hungry. “Food is fuel” you don't put more gas in the car if the tank isn't empty.      THESE FLIES ARE GOING TO DRIVE ME INSANE! I'm not sure if it's the weather changing, or if it's that I just let my house get that bad. But when I'm sitting at my computer they are constantly swarming around my head. Strange that there are more flies around my computer than there are in the kitchen where the dirty dishes are. But I can't wait for it to get cold enough to kill these bastards off. I read online that cinnamon is one of the things that repels flies so I sprinkled that around my desk, and when I got back from the restroom I saw a fly

I know that Chicken Fried Steak really isn't in the diet plan that I want to be on, but it also sounded so very good. Got a laugh out of my roommate, because I say the same thing every time we go out to eat I get the chicken fried steak. And then every time I get the chicken fried steak I point out that I get it every time we go out. It is a bit unnerving to listen to him talk during the meal. He seems to be balls deep into the MAGA “woohoo the world is ending!” conspiracies. He seems to be very excited for the

Eyes and head is still a bit tender, but at least I don't feel like the living dead. Voice still sounds rough, but I sound more rough than I feel. Still didn't get anything done before work. I just justified it by telling myself that I'm off Friday and Saturday this week. So I have the next two days off. That is a nice thing to say. That is not something that I get so say very often. Even the weeks that I get two days off in a week they are very rarely together. The trick is to do the stuff tomorrow that I've been meaning to do all week.      I felt a bit floaty at work. But that might have been the combination of the allergy medicine and the leftover allergy symptoms. But it
