I checked my bank balance expecting my pay check, but was pleasantly surprised to see my State Tax Refund is already in my checking account and looking at the record the Federal Return is usually a day or two behind the state refund. It could take up to a week for that to come in. But for today I was able to transfer into Bill Savings instead of from bill savings for the rent check that I'm expecting to come through this week. That's a really frustrating number on the scale this morning. Ups and downs happen, but this morning was one of the few mornings that I was more than I was at the end of last year. So all of the projections are going way up. At lea...

This morning before I went to work my roommate had me run him around for a few errands as he didn't have the cash this home time to rent a car. Dude tripped over one of the wheel stop, parking block, curb stop? Whatever that thing is called. He insists he's fine, but I'm a bit concerned about his complaints about his chest and knee hurting. He's due to go back on the road on Monday (he's an over the road trucker) He'll see how he's doing Sunday evening to if he'll go back on the road.

Today was crazy busy at the store again. But it is the first Friday of the month right before a major holiday. (not that we get holiday pay for Easter or anything) It is kind of interesting that the people who get offended by saying “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas” because they will insist that there is a “war on Christmas” that is “trying to destroy Christianity” but will look at you funny when you say “Happy Easter” or will not know what Good Friday is. (outside of it being the Friday before Easter) I don't have the authority to confront people about their beliefs, but it has always been strange to me that Christmas has been a bigger holiday than Easter. You'd think that Jesus rising from the grave would be a bigger deal than him being born, but whatever people choose to celebrate is their own concern.

Had a late lunch today. But at least I did resist buying food when I already had some at home. But I had picked up some sparkling water on the way home for lunch.

I had again forgot to bring the water bottle with me to work. But I'm going to blame that on the roommate eating shit just before I had to go to work. So I did end up drinking more energy shots than I would have if I would have just drank from the water bottle.

Dinner was baked chicken again. But it did turn out better this evening than it did the last couple of nights, but I think that was just luck I didn't cover the chicken in foil over the last several nights because the chicken was taller than the pan. Tonight was just luck, but when I don't cover the pan with foil it drys out the chicken making it hard to eat. One chicken bone missed the trash can and dog snatched it up before I could grab it. Thank CHRIST dog was able to eat it without choking on it. I would NOT want to be the reason the roommate's road dog ended up, um, "ending" just because I had just missed the trash can.
