(One ends in a 3 and the other ends in a 4) kind of makes me think that on this next New Year's Eve I should get absolutely hammered and have a pizza, just to get synced up. (joking) Spent yesterday playing Fallout New Vegas. I decided to play one of the DLC Stories. And that took entirely way too Goddamned long. The story there was that Fallout takes place 200 years after a nuclear war and there is this casino that some people have came up with the idea of breaking into for a big...

My brain just went flat after work last night. The first half of the day went just fine and smooth for those five hours, but when I came back for the remaining three hours people had just went bonkers. I think people had realized that it was a holiday weekend and they hadn't planed on anything after the weekend so they had to catch up. And I have a theory that the more people in an area, the dumber the individual person in the area and people were reinforcing that theory. Had nachos for dinner last night because I was really in the mood for some comfort food. But the corn chips I picked up were “Guacamole” flavored. But were just a nasty sour salt flavor. I do like very salty corn chips, but these had a really sour flavor.

Paid the natural gas and electricity bills today. There is an option to pay those bills at the store. (not sponsored) the great thing about doing it that way is the payment is posted immediately, but it takes a week or two for the check goes through. Kind of handy to get the bills paid, but still have a payday or two come in before the check comes through.

There seems to be an error that is quite beneficial in my direction. Last month when I paid the gas bill I had paid it after the due date so the bill to print off had the total of this month and last month on it even though I had last month's total paid off. So the bill looked like I owed $227 but all I owed was $115. And on the bill there is a place where you write in how much you want to pay. I wrote $115 on the bill, filled out the check for $115, but the lady at customer service put in $227 into the computer and submitted that payment. Realizing what she had done she asked me how to fix it. It is my day off, but they are my bills, and I don't have the money to pay the $227. The checks weren't processed yet, so I had her exit out of the program without processing the checks, and when she logged back on those payments weren't in the history, so she ran the payments for the correct amounts. I have a receipt for the correct amount, I have carbon copy sheets of the checks for the amounts that I wanted to pay. So I'm thinking that everything was okay, until I got home.

I about had a heart attack.

I logged onto the gas and electricity websites and on the gas site it showed a credit of $227. The first glance heart attack was that it looked like the May bill dropped and the average pay plan was the same as the last two months combined! But then noticed that it was showing NEGATIVE $227! The first payment did go through! So as far as everything shows I made two payments! On both the gas AND the electricity! She typed in the correct amount on the electricity bill and so on that bill site it shows that it is payed AND has a credit for the amount of the payment that I made! So if the error isn't corrected (fingers crossed) two of the utilities for May and the gas bill for June is already taken care of! Of course the honest thing to do would be to reach out to the utilities to try to correct the error, but I'm not sure if I want to ask too many people too many questions.

I didn't get a recipe video recorded today. Although a prerecorded video did go live. I did buy some groceries today. There was a really good deal on soda (seriously not sponsored) they were four for $15 so I did pick up some soda, didn't record how much soda I drank today because I didn't track how much I drank. There was also a really good deal on pork butts so I had the meat market lady cut them into steaks. But she cut them into some really thick steaks. I'm pretty sure that these things are pretty close to an entire inch thick steaks. So when I grilled up a couple of those bad boys for lunch that was quite a bit of eating for "lunch" and it was a late lunch so I didn't worry about having a dinner

Tuesdays are my day off and I was really wanting to get out of the house again today and I remembered that a couple of days ago a customer told me that they had been to a reservoir that is really close to my hometown and how really low the water level was. So I decided to drive down to see how low it had gotten. And it really was disconcerting how low it was. I had driven to where my roommates family lives and the lake used to be past the tree line, but now it looked like it was at least 100 feet (30m)  away
