My Opinion of What's Going to Happen with Trump's Tariffs

Warning political opinion about something that I know very little about inbound. I don't have a crystal ball and I can't tell the future, but this is my guess of what is going to happen. I would love to be proven wrong. And it might be a bit rambley as I wrote this from notes that I made on my phone over the last couple of weeks.      Apparently there have been some serious tariffs put into place. I honestly know very little about what tariffs are/do/work. I've looked it up and tariffs and they seem to be a kind of tax on imports. And naturally the talking heads (not the band) have seem to have taken their sides. The opposition is saying that he's putting extra taxes on everything. And the taxes will destroy the worlds economy. The proponents say that it will be great because it will force companies to build factories here state side.      Pre-post Edit: I guess that President Trump has pushed back when the tariffs are going to go into place.
