"Daily" Keto Blog August 30, 2023

Weight: 343.0 lbs (155.6 kg) BMI: 44 Waist: 58 in (147.3 cm) WtHr: 78.4% Breakfast: Sausage Patties and Eggs Lunch: Low Carb Jambalaya, small bag of Cool Ranch Doritos Dinner: Baked Chicken Drinks: Pot of Coffee with cream, Kroger energy shot, 12oz can Big K cola      I actually had time this morning before work to sit around. I was sitting here thinking that I was supposed to be doing something. And then, “Oh, right I'm trying to be a blogger!” Standing on the scale this morning was a bit disappointing. The problem with Keto is that it really only works when you're doing it. And I was doing quite well for the first quarter of this year. Heck I was down almost 20 pounds by mid-February. But I fell into the beer trap. And I just could not get anything done while I'm drinking beer. Beer is a downer, and I'm already a pretty down person. I keep telling myself that I'm too busy to get anything done, but in reality I'm just down from drinking too much beer. I was d

Trying To Start Again "Daily" Blog August 5, 2023

Weight: 339.8 lbs ( 154.1 kg) BMI: 43.6 Waist: 58 in ( 147.3 cm) WtHr: 78.4% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: X Dinner: Rack of Pork Loin Ribs, Kroger Stadium Style Mild Cheese Dip Drinks: Pot of Coffee with cream, ~1892ml water, 24 pk Michelob Ultra      Wow, I have not been up on this for far too long. I've been doing the daily weigh in and tracking that on (probably way too many) spreadsheets, but I just haven't been doing pretty much anything else. Not really sure why I stopped doing anything. I didn't WANT to stop doing stuff. I just kept telling myself, “I wasn't very 'Keto' today, I'll just do it tomorrow”. The beer wasn't helping in that area at all. The last several months the large cans of Natural ICE beer have been on sale for $0.99 per can. (It's not a good beer it's just cheep) And I have been taking advantage of this sale. And I have been drinking much more beer than that. As when the store is sold out of the Natural ICE beer I

Weight: 351.0 lbs ( 159.2 kg) BMI: 45.1 Waist: 58 in ( 147.3 cm) WtHR: 78.4% Breakfast: Bacon Lunch: Artichoke Bacon Chicken Soup Dinner: Baked Chicken Drinks: coffee with cream Had to do a bit more dishes before I could cook breakfast. Running low on bacon. The call I was expecting discussing the scores for my computer skills test came as an email. The data entry scores were quite high, which makes sense for someone who has been a cashier for WAY too long. The words per minute was at 29 net wpm. Which is not great, but not terrible. My Excel knowledge was at 71% which kind of bummed me out because a 71% is a C- score, but the lady with the HR group said that the scores aren't “A,B,C,D” and a 71% is really quite good. And I scored 81% on my MS Word quiz. Which I feel is a good score either way. This afternoon I helped change some light bulbs for Grandma. I live in a very blessed family. Everyone I know always complains about their interactions with their family, but I have y

Bit of a Scare on the Way Home from Work Daily Weigh In 10/23/2022

Weight: 351.2 lbs ( 159.3 kg) BMI: 45.1 Waist: 58in ( 147.3 cm) WtHR: 78.4% Breakfast: x Lunch: Cheesy Ramen Dinner: Bratwursts Drinks: Kroger energy shot, Sparkling water, couple cans of Diet Coke and Diet Dr Pepper I got a weigh in video done this morning. Not a great weigh in compared to the last couple of days, but really not bad compared to the last weigh in video. Didn't get video done in time to make breakfast before work. Made the first half of work last a long time. What really caused the first half of work to be REALLY LONG was the fact that I had forgotten my phone at home. I know that I really shouldn't be playing with my phone at work, but leaving the phone at home really makes for a long day. Particularly each time the hand brushes past the phone pocket and I think about how I need to run home on my lunch break to grab my phone. Ran home for lunch and my phone. That's when I uploaded the weigh in video. I got the editing done this morning, but had to

Kind of a boring day October 19, 2022

Weight: 355.4 lbs (161.2 kg) BMI: 45.6 Waist: 58 in (147.3 cm) WtHR: 78.4% Breakfast: Bacon Lunch: Goulash Dinner: Pork Steak/ Mac and cheese Drinks: several cans of Coke, Pepsi, and Big K Diet sodas, Kroger energy shot, Sparkling water Overcooked the bacon a bit, but at least this time I didn't almost burn the house down. Work was okay, we actually had everyone show up today. Still understaffed like crazy. Was oddly crazy busy. I don't know why it's been so busy this last week or so. The only thing that I can think of is that now that autumn is in full swing the sun is starting to do down earlier and when people see the sun going down they freak out and run to the store. Even though the store is open till 10 every night. But that's just how people think/act. I know that the Mac and cheese is about the opposite for the Keto diet that I keep saying that I want to be doing. But I was planning on using some boneless chicken thighs that I had left over from the last t

Weight: 351.6 lbs (159.5 kg) BMI: 45.1 Waist: 58 in (147.3 cm) WtHR: 78.4% Breakfast: X Lunch: Johnsonville Jalapeno Cheddar Sausages, bang energy, Gatorade Zero Dinner: A really huge Rib eye mood: relaxed      I was NOT feeling good most of the day. It was a difficult situation to explain; kind of like I was inside out or upside down or something. I felt like I had to negotiate and navigate. And bleah was everything. Then I realized, I didn't eat anything before work. And yesterday all I ate was some leftover nacho cheese and munched on some Doritos. So no wonder I felt so weak, I hadn't had any proper meals in over 24 hours. I'm not trying to starve myself. I just didn't take the time to eat. And frustratingly I still didn't get anything done. Well, I did get the refrigerator thawed out and got the dishes done. (yesterday)      After lunch was like flipping a switch. I hadn't felt that good in a while. Claritin was taking effect, food was starting to tak

Just Coasted Through 9-3-2022

Weight: 354 lbs ( 160.6 kg) BMI: 45.4 Waist: 58 in (147.3 cm) WtHr: 78.4% Breakfast: X Lunch: Leftover Nachos Dinner: X Snacks: Doritos, munched on for most of the afternoon Drinks: 5x Milwaukee's Best Ice 24oz beer mood: stable Again I wasn't very productive today. I did buy a few more ingredients for making the Keto recipes that I want to make. but then just sat around not doing anything. I did thaw out my freezer to keep the stuff in my refrigerator from rotting. But by the time I had the freezer thawed out it was too late in the evening to eat anything so I didn't eat anything for dinner.

Weight: 354.8 lbs (160.9 kg) BMI: 45.5 Waist: 58 in (147.3 cm) WtHr: 78.4% Breakfast: X Lunch: Lamb Shoulder Steak Dinner: Nachos Drinks: 12 pk Samuel Adams Octoberfest mood: hopeful      Skipped breakfast again. I did not sleep well last night, not well at all. I went to bed at a reasonable time, but just flopped like a fish the entire night. And when I did wake up properly in the morning I took a while to lay there and enjoy that I had a day off, and day off with a day off to follow. I did get some dishes cleaned      September is technically the start of autumn even though it is still getting up into the 90's F (30's C) Thinking of that I was in the mood for some Chili so I went to the store to buy the ingredients for Instant Pot Chili. That is my favorite chili recipe that I have came across so far.      I grabbed some other things that I wasn't planning for as well. In example I picked up a Lamb Shoulder steak, thinking that I've never tried Lamb before. Lamb i

Claritin is freaking awesome! Daily Blog 9-1-2022

Weight: 353.6 lbs (160.4 kg) BMI: 45.4 Waist: 58 in (147.3 cm) WtHr: 78.4% Breakfast: 2x breakfast burritos Lunch: Spangles Jalapeno Bacon Cheeseburger meal Dinner: Pork steak with sugar free BBQ Sauce Drinks: 2x Sparkling water, 5 hour energy shot mood: relived      Claritin is freaking awesome! Eyes and head is still a bit tender, but at least I don't feel like the living dead. Voice still sounds rough, but I sound more rough than I feel. Still didn't get anything done before work. I just justified it by telling myself that I'm off Friday and Saturday this week. So I have the next two days off. That is a nice thing to say. That is not something that I get so say very often. Even the weeks that I get two days off in a week they are very rarely together. The trick is to do the stuff tomorrow that I've been meaning to do all week.      I felt a bit floaty at work. But that might have been the combination of the allergy medicine and the leftover allergy symptoms. But it

Just Always Kind of Tired Daily Blog August 27, 2022

Weight: 361.8 lbs (164.1 kg) BMI: 46.4 Waist: 58 in (47.3 cm) WtHr: 78.4% Breakfast: KC Strip Steak and eggs Lunch: Johnsonville Beddar with cheddar sausages, Rockstar sugar free energy Dinner: Cheeseburger Macaroni Hamburger Helper Drinks: 2x Sparkling water, 5 hour energy shot mood: tired      I was going to have bacon and eggs for breakfast this morning, but I had a KC Strip that had been sitting in my fridge for what was starting to be a while. I tried to make the eggs over easy again, but as soon as my spatula touched the eggs to turn them they just scrambled. I usually cook the eggs in a cast iron skillet. But that was dirty from yesterday so I was cooking in a different skillet, it's not a Teflon pan, it has some sort of light brown covering across the cooking surface. Usually it's a pretty good non stick pan, but this morning I just couldn't get the spatula under the eggs.      Work was frustrating as always. Underpaid, understaffed, overworked. But at least eve

Weight: 351.6 lbs (159.2 kg) BMI: 45.1 Waist: 58 in (147.3 cm) WtHr: 78% Breakfast: Egg Stuff Lunch: “” Dinner: Nachos Soda: Diet Pepsi mood: relived I did NOT sleep well last night. I wrote that I drank a 2 liter of Pepsi zero on yesterday's blog, but after I posted that I drank the better part of a 2 liter of diet Pepsi, and WOW. I flipped and flopped until probably 4 in the morning. I really need to stop drinking pop. The money I withdrew from my stocks landed in my checking account before the checks I wrote to pay my electric and gas bills last week. That was my main concern for the last week or two. Sure I technically had enough in my checking account to account for those two checks. But it was getting TIGHT. It got so tight I had even suspended my YouTube plus subscription. I thought about turning it back on, but no watching a month of ads on YouTube is going to be my punishment for letting my finances get so bad. Made a video on how to make Egg Stu

April 23, 2021 Getting Back into It

Weight: 352.0 lbs (159.7 kg) BMI: 45.2 Waist: 58 in (147.3 cm) WtHR 78% Breakfast: Kroger Shells and cheese Lunch: 4 Piece Deli Baked Chicken, Sugar Free Monster Dinner: KC Strip Steak, 6pk Bud Light Had another one of those phase out periods where I just coasted along with life. This is a source of frustration for me. There are so many things that I want to do, have to do, need to do, but I just fall back into a vegetative like state where I'm either staring zombie style at my computer while YouTube plays or lumbering around the store at work. And I'm getting back into the frustrated mood where I feel like I'm waking up to go to work and then going back to bed to wake up to go back to work. And working at a grocery store is frustrating because it's impossible to tell yesterday from last week from six months ago from six years ago. Everyday I go back to work, stand around seeming waiting to go home and start over the next day. I really do want to be doing the

Perhaps withdraw? WebMD shows the symptoms of withdraw as Anxiety Shaky Hands Headache Nausea Vomiting Insomnia Sweating So far the only symptom that I've ran into is a headache this morning. I didn't sleep all that well last night, (TMI incoming) but only because I seemed to have to get up and go pee every ten minutes. I'm not sure if that was because my body getting rid of toxins from alcohol, or the diet soda that I was drinking last night (caffeine is a diuretic and a stimulant) I haven't sweated any, and I haven't
