But the short of it is that one of my cousins is in the hospital because she wont manage her diabet

I'm not a fan of the term, “Keto Flu” I mean the alliteration of “Keto Cold” fits so much better. This might be TMI but I struggled with the craps today. Knees and back are popping and cracking like crazy also. I do wonder if this is because of a lowering of pressure on the joints or some other result of lowering carbs The last day or two have had rather impressive drop in weight. Not sure if that is due to the “magic” of the keto diet, or just because I'm not eating the rather ridiculous amount of food that I eat when I'm not doing my diet. Had a late breakfast as I woke up a bit late. I normally have bacon and eggs, but I just decided to have something differ

I was kind of afraid of eating too much or drinking any coffee because of the effect that the food would have on the scale, or the caffeine in the coffee on the blood pressure. These factors are why I'd prefer to have appointments and meetings in the morning if I could. Not that I have had a whole lot of doctors appointments, but even when I work later in the afternoon, I spend the entire day counting down how much time I have until I have to go into work or that meeting. The bacon I had for breakfast was the bacon that Stepdad was kind enough to donate to me the other day. When he gave it to me he said that it wasn't very good quality, I thought he

I just felt that I needed to get out and do something, but I really didn't have anything to do. I did forget that I was going to buy some baking soda to try to clean off my Pyrex pans, but by the time I realized that I forgot the one thing that I was going to do today I had spent way too much on other things. Thankfully I already have some baking soda in my cabinet. It'd suck to spend money on stuff that I already had.      The thing is when I got home I thought I'd try to finish off the diet sodas that had made me feel so down over the last several

Dude tripped over one of the wheel stop, parking block, curb stop? Whatever that thing is called. He insists he's fine, but I'm a bit concerned about his complaints about his chest and knee hurting. He's due to go back on the road on Monday (he's an over the road trucker) He'll see how he's doing Sunday evening to if he'll go back on the road.      Today was crazy busy at the store again. But it is the first Friday of the month right before a major holiday. (not that we get holiday pay for Easter or anything) It is kind of interesting that the people who get offended by saying “Happy Ho

So I'm probably closer to 330 (149.7 kg)      When I was cooking the bacon and eggs that I normally have for breakfast I accidentally touched the cornstarch and the stuff literally EXPLOADED every where. It had fell out of the cabinet, bounced off of the countertop, and landed on the floor. And I have to say that stuff is EVIL when you're trying to clean it up. (seriously God rested on the seventh day and the devil spent all of that day coming up with the idea of cornstarch cleanup) When I came home from work there was a layer over my entire living room. I think I'm going to have to get a Swiffer to clean it all up. (not sponsored) It

That usually means that there was something caught under the foot pads of the scale.     Today was another day where I just could not get anything done. I did get the third recipe video edited and scheduled for release. But it was one of those days where I find myself just sitting here at the computer realizing that it was several hours since I last caught myself just sitting here at the computer.      I did manage to get some clarified butter done like I've been wanting to do for a while. But that's hardly worth mentioning as getting something done. I was able to find a couple more recipes that I would lik

So naturally I woke up at 8:30 -_-. I remember going to bed pretty close to midnight, but the app on my phone that is connected to my smart watch is saying that I didn't get to sleep until after 3am. So I'm not sure what happened there. My feet did hurt this morning, but not as bad as yesterday morning, I wonder if what the difference between mac and cheese and the Velveeta Skillet Dinner is. The skillet dinner does have a powdered flavor packet that goes into it as well so maybe that has something to do with it? Knees are popping and cracking like crazy; they don't hurt or anything it's just a strange sharp SNAP noise when I sit still too l

This is one of the benefits of the meal planning that I want to be doing. Sure there are a lot of dishes to do once or twice a week, but for most of the rest of the week all you need to do is rinse off the bowl or plate you ate lunch or dinner in/on.      Had hot dogs for lunch. I was out of mustard at home so I picked up a bottle of spicy brown mustard. But I put too much on the hot dogs and that stuff was really sour and bitter and kind of made lunch that particular flavo

On the way back into town I was really craving Nachos so I swung by the store to grab a smaller chunk of Velveeta cheese to make Queso Soup. What I call Queso soup is a small container of Velveeta “cheese” with a pound of ground beef a can of the store brand version of Rotel tomatoes and a packet of taco seasoning. The roommate had left town a bit late in the morning and by the time the “soup” was cooked it was after noon so I just called that Lunch.      I was off today so I spent most of the day working on a script for a video that I want to release this Friday. Every Friday I want to release a video of the weird things that I've had to deal with while working at a grocery store. And this week I'm working on a thre

I hear a lot of people online to not to do a daily weigh in because whenever it is up you'll drive yourself mad trying to figure out the reason that it is up. I'm going to guess that the reason is that I'm still processing the case of beer that I drank on Tuesday. But I'm trying to take the couple of days of ups too seriously, I don't plan on drinking any more beer, and I've made a lot of progress this year. So if I get bummed out by the day to day weigh in I'll look at the spreadsheet of the whole year. (I have a lot of spreadsheets) But looking at the spreadsheet for the year Feb

Should Have Done an A La Carte Breakfast Daily Keto Blog February 23, 2023

And we went to Village Inn for breakfast. I had the Denver Omelet meal. Again not very Keto. I didn't see the A La Carte section on the menu until after I ordered. I'm used to just ordering a meal from the menu. And lately I've been seeing that is getting more and more popular online to order from the A La Carte section off of menus. It looks like it's cheaper and easier to follow the Keto diet when eating out by doing this. And yeah the omelet is good on Keto, but the Hash Browns and Syrup covered Pancakes were definitely not. I do have to say that the pancakes at Village Inn were better than the ones at the Truck Stop that I had last week

It is strange to wake up before the sun. The east is a beautiful gold and blue. I'd say sunsets are prettier though. There is kind of a sense of hope seeing the gradual increase of light, and there was a moment when the sun rose over the horizon that the world was kind of filled with a golden light. It's just so damn early. Landlord said that he'll be out later this afternoon.    I wonder what is causing the latest ups on the scales. I know that fluctuations happen. But that's a big up in the last two days. I thought yesterday's up was because I was wearing clothes for the video, but that can't be the case for today. I wonder if it's because of the Jonsonville sausages that I have eate

Technically Under The Goal Daily Blog January 23, 2023

Weight: 328 lbs ( 148.8 kg) BMI: 42.1 Waist: 55.5 in ( 141 cm) WtHr: 75% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: Hamburger Sausage Alfredo Dinner: Pork Steak Drinks: couple cups of coffee, Tap water    I am at a loss for words for this mornings weigh in. I'm technically under my current goal of 330lbs (149.7 kg) But with daily fluctuations I'm not going to call myself past that goal just yet. I went and looked over my YouTube playlist to see when the last time I was under 330 lbs and it was back in early 2019. And going over that playlist it looks like 330 lbs is a long time hurdle for me. But that's just looking at the thumbnails of the videos. Starting out it looks like I was 314.8 (142.8 kg) back in 2014 and it would be nice to get back to that starting weight. I just can't believe that I'm already down 17.4 pounds (6.5 kg) already! I'm sure that this isn't going to be a sustained rate, but good LORD it's a good start to the year.      Not losing much

A goal without a timeline is just a dream – Robert Herjavec Daily Blog January 20, 2023

I know that fluctuations happen, and fluctuations mean weight will go up AND down. And that's kind of the thing with daily weigh ins. And I know that I'm still in the upper 330's so a daily weigh in could get back up above 340 (140.2 kg) still kind of frustrating to be up above what I saw as the previous goal. Current goal is 330 (159.7 kg) Long term goal is 169 lbs <heh nice> (76.7 kg) And I know that it's going to be quite a while before I see that long term goal, but goals are important. The short term goals are going to be ten pounds each. Not quite sure of the timeline of the goals. I don't want to push an unrealistic timeline, but "a goal without a timeline is just a dream" – Robert Herjavec      A quick google search says th

But I just couldn't get moving today. It was a different kind of not wanting to move than I've had before. Before the lack of wanting to move was more of a dread of what lies ahead of me when I do get moving. (should probably look into getting help with that kind of feeling) But today was more of a Newtonian momentum kind of thing. “A body at rest will stay at rest” And I was “well rested” this morning. I woke up, er gained consciousness, at about 8 am. Can't really say that I “woke up” when I was just laying there like that. All week long I had to keep reminding myself what day of the week it was. The drama with Avast and my bank really threw off the stuff I wanted to do this w
