I did have time to shower and cook breakfast, but didn't have time to have coffee. I was in the desk for most of the day. Which I was glad for as it got quite warm again today. It looks like next week is going to all be in the mid to upper 70's which I'm looking forward to. I'm am VERY over these 100+ degree (38+ C) days. It is kind of fun how the first day of fall is this coming Tuesday and it looks like the weather is on a switch to fall like weather of 77 (25 C) and cloudy for most of the week. It was kind of frustrating working the desk as I'm still training a new guy. I'...

Sober Month 6 (Day 197)
Keto Day 2

Playing Minecraft last night was really strange they had updated the lighting effects and it was really strange to have shadows in Minecraft. It was kind of neat how the torches let out a soft orange glow. But a lot of the “day” in the game had really bright haze over everything to simulate bright sunlight. So it really only looked right in the morning and during the evening when the sun was low in the game.

I worked later in the afternoon than I usually do. (1-9 instead of 11-8 or 12-9) but I really wasn't very productive this morning. I really just spent the time before work starring at the financial program that I use to track and plan my spending. I was going back and forth on wither or not or how to budget for the holiday overtime that I got for last week. I'm thinking about changing up a bit of the savings strategy. I was trying to leave $100 per week in the Checking account and then transferring the rest into the savings accounts, and then when I get home each night I would round the checking account down to the $10 for example if I got home and I had $75.83 in my checking account I would transfer the $5.83 into the savings accounts. But I kept running out of money each week. I'm not wanting to spend $100 per week. I can't afford to spend $100 per week. But I kept running out of money and transferring back and forth between the savings and checking accounts. And that's just not saving any money. So the new plan is to do all of my shopping on one day of the week and then leave $50 in the checking account, not wanting to spend $50 per week, just having that available as an allowance. Than each night instead of rounding to the $10, I'll round to the dollar. For example if when I get home my checking account is $23.57 I'll transfer the $0.57 to savings. I have three savings accounts. “Bill Savings” “Project Savings” and “General Savings” I'll transfer to Bill Savings until I have enough to pay for the next month's bills, and then I'll switch to transferring into “Project Savings” until I have $1,000, and then if I get to that savings amount I'll transfer into “General Savings” or at least that's the plan. I have yet to save up enough to fill Bill Savings. And filling up “Project Savings” almost seems to be a dream. Oh, well at least I have a plan

Also I was looking at the trend on the weight loss tracking spreadsheets. I've noticed that there is a trend of losing weight at the beginning of the year each year, and then at the beginning of summer that trend switches to gaining weight for the year until the end of fall and then it tracks back down. I am kind of curious as to if that is the effect of “New Years Resolutions” and then falling off and then seeing that the year is starting to come to an end so trying to catch back up. If that makes sense

I worked Customer Service all day so it was pretty easy money all day. Nothing really happened over the day. It's nice when this happens. Usually when something “interesting” happens it's because someone is being really stupid. The only really stupid thing over the day was the people dropping hundreds of dollars on scratch lottery tickets...while complaining about their financial issues. Dude seriously, if you just spent $180 on lottery tickets, please don't complain about not having any money.

It was quite warm and humid outside, but it is July. But thankfully I was in the desk all day so I didn't have to deal with that too much.
