So that was the weight that I had labeled the “Progress Goal” as that is the weight that I started with so any weight lower than that is finally making progress. It is kind of funny that the Spreadsheet titled “Full Weight Loss and Projection” shows a completely flat line for the projection for the rest of the year as the weight is the exact weight as the beginning back in 2014. Sat around for a bit waiting for Roommate to say that he was ready to go to his *usually* weekly appointment. Then I noticed that h...

Sober Month 7 (Day 220)
Keto Day 3

Woke up with some itchy fingers this morning. Not in the greedy sort of way, but in the something bit me kind of way. There's a bright red spot on the base of my thumb and on the top of my right pointer finger whenever I wash my hands. Over the day the level of itch was low enough that it wasn't really that distracting. But if I was standing around not doing anything I would catch myself picking at my finger.

Kind of surprised to see the weight progress over the last couple of days. Almost seems to be back on track. There's been a bit of a weight loss plateau over the last couple of months. Not sure if that's because I'm not following the diet as well as I would have liked, or some other issue.

Yesterday while I was doing the inventory for the week I saw the frozen okra that I had used to make Gumbo a couple of weeks ago. I was thinking if I should make another batch for next week's lunch plan. And then I noticed a lady buying the kind of chicken that I used in that recipe...and then I noticed that the shrimp AND the sausage that I use in the recipe both are on digital coupon this week. I'll go ahead and take the sign. That won't be until Tuesday when I buy the stuff to make that. But it does still sound good.

Work was really quite smooth today. The first half of the day I worked at Self Checkout training a new guy. This kid is kind of getting the express route training of working at a grocery store. He was just hired last week. And so far they have him trained as a carryout, a cashier, on self checkout the last couple of days, and Customer Service Manager was saying that he's going to be trained for Customer Service soon. We do need the help, and he does seem to be really gifted on picking everything up, it's just I'm hoping that he's not going to be thrown at too much too quickly and end up burning out.

I was kicking myself as I was leaving for work. I was planning on setting up the slow cooker with a Chuck Roast and Mushroom Gravy, but I had completely spaced it until right before I had to leave for work. Thankfully it was easy enough to set it up during my lunch break. I had the last serving of Pizza soup for lunch, I have to say that is some enchanting stuff. I did have to use some self control to avoid buying the small bag of potato chips that the store has in a bin by the door (not sponsored) The saltiness of the chips would have gone really well with the soup.

I have to say it was BEAUTIFUL outside when I left work. There's supposed to be a cool front that's coming through tonight and the next couple of days are going to only get up to the low to mid 80's and I am all kinds of looking forward to that. Especially for mid July. We're looking at an afternoon high of 80 (27c) when it could just as easily be 110 (43 c) I might even open my windows as I'm going to bed tonight.

I feel like I'm forgetting to say something. Something that I was going to write down, but I didn't take the time to do so. (I wouldn't have mattered I had forgotten my note in my Supervisor Vest)

It is fascinating how much my knees are snapping and crackling sitting here at the computer this evening. They don't hurt and there isn't any discomfort. It's like they're decompressing.
