Yesterday's up almost five pounds is ridiculous I don't know what that was about. I worked 10am-8pm today and as I was scheduled to work earlier than I usually do I set some alarms to try to wake up earlier, to no avail as I still got up at the usual 8am. I decided to have bacon and eggs for breakfast as I was kind of rushed to cook before work and I'm more used to cook bacon and eggs. Was supervisor all day. It was surprisingly smooth all day. Particularly for the first Saturday of the month. It was quite busy, but still smooth...

Keto Day 2

Another slow going start to the day. Physically I feel okay, but brain just wants to go back to sleep. So I didn't get the Taco Chili set up this morning. But I work later tomorrow than I usually do so it'll be easier to get it set up tomorrow. Most of the stuff is canned so it will last a while, but there is some meat that goes into it that would be rather frustrating if it went bad because I was just in a blah mood for too long.

At lunch Roommate was excitedly talking about all of the Minecraft mods that he downloaded was eager to start playing, but I don't know if I want to play. I just don't want to anything

Trying really hard to think of anything to say. It's really kind of hard because right now I'm just waiting. Waiting for the next pay check, to pay the next bill, than waiting for the next pay check to pay the next bill, then waiting for the next pay check to pay the next bill. Bit of a frustration currently. But by the end of September or October all of the bills should be caught up. It's just the frustration is that I can't really do anything. I just have to wait for the next paycheck and the next bill to be paid.

There was a wild moment at work as the Cantaloupes started ringing up incorrectly. They were supposed to be $3.50 (not sponsored) but they started ringing up for $1,003.50. yep, one thousand, three dollars, and fifty cents EACH. Thankfully everybody was in pretty good humor about the obvious mistake. One of the managers was able to put it into “manager's special” to put it back to the correct price. He had even called over to another store to see if it was doing it over there and, yeah. Even over there. That seemed to be the new price for cantaloupe. Some people asked what would have happened if people weren't paying attention and had somehow been charged over a thousand dollars apiece for their cantaloupe. Hopefully they kept their receipts. But somehow I doubt people around here just keeps thousands of dollars in their spending accounts for a charge like that to go through. And I'm willing to bet that the register will ask for permission to make a charge of that amount. but at the register it would be an easy matter to correct a price, even a price that extreme, but I would have felt bad for anybody doing an Online Pickup order because I don't know if it's possible to change prices on online orders. The few times when I take an order out for online orders I just take the order out to their car and push “complete” on their order. You don't really go over the order to see if everything is the right price. You can put in coupons for the rare occasion that someone has a paper coupon, but you don't really see the prices of items on the order. So hopefully nobody bought a cantaloupe on the online pickup.

Kind of an early post, but I'm going to try to do some reading. There's a copy of Stephen Hawking's “A Brief History of Time” that has been sitting on my desk for a while and it just got my attention. I keep telling myself that I need to get back into reading more often.
