Down under “progress goal” again! Still kind of soon to call that goal “beaten” Waistline is still being stubborn. But that's okay, I'm stubborn too. It is exciting to be under the weight that I haven't been since 2015. And it is really fun to see the “Average Change” on the “Full Weight Tracking and Projection” spreadsheet to be in the red. I think today is going to hurt. I am scheduled to work 10 am to 8 pm. Lunch is at 3pm which is 5 hours into the day then I come back for four more hours. I'm sure that it'll go smoothly and I'm trying not to amp myself up for the negative, but today is going to be a LONG day. The CSM and her back up were both there this...

Woke up a little easier this morning. I did lay around for a bit, but not as long as I have been doing. I am excited that I got the phone bill paid. I usually get it paid by the end of the month, but if I don't pay it on the first there is a fee. So that is one fee that I'm going to avoid for October. I would like to pay all of my bills on the first if I can, but again this month I'm going to have to spread out the bills for the next couple of weeks. I'm still a little shaken from them shutting off the water a couple of days ago. But that was just an error on my part, which should not happen again. (I thought I had paid it after the due date and I had thought the warning was sent automatically, so I had assumed that it was paid when it had not had been) But if I keep up on my Spreadsheets I should avoid making that mistake again. Hopefully anyway because there was a $30 reconnect fee that I had to pay, just because I forgot to pay the bill. And I'm sure I don't have to point out that I have to point out that I don't have an extra 30 bucks laying around just because I forget to pay my bills

I did have some time this morning to run to the store to grab some bacon for some bacon and eggs for some breakfast this morning. Quite a few people on Keto do OMAD (One Meal A Day) or other extended fasting strategies, and I can go without breakfast if I have to, but not having breakfast is more distracting than anything else. I didn't get a chance to clean my cast iron skillet yet, and I do have to say that I do prefer cooking with that compared to the Teflon (?) pans that I had to cook bacon and eggs in. The cast iron is just a better cooking experience.

Good lord today was running busy. It's always crazy when the first of the month lands on a Friday, but with Labor Day this is leading up to a major holiday weekend, right as kids are getting back into school, and the fair is coming to town next week. So there are a lot of routines getting interrupted, and naturally people are panicking. And the question of, “Why is it so busy today?” got really old after the first couple of hours, but not nearly as old as the question of, “Are you going to open any more registers?”

For lunch I had cottage cheese with ranch dressing and hot dogs, I thought of the combination of cottage cheese and ranch dressing last week and hadn't had a chance to try it as all of the small containers of cottage cheese were sold out until today, and it sounded too good to pass up.

I did drink a bit more water today than I have in the last several days. I still forgot my water bottle at home, but the store provides water for baggers during the summer. I do want to bring my own water bottle, not only to refill at my own convenience, but to not take away from people who are actually going out into the heat. I do have to say that these new shoes are some pretty rocking shoes. Had a few moments while driving to work where I was speeding because I was getting used to the bottoms of the new shoes. There was an AMAZING feeling after lunch when I tightened the shoe laces and the soles of the shoes squished into the bottom of my feet. After work feet did hurt, and my legs were stiff, but not nearly as bad as they usually are. And I think those pains are just going to continue until I'm no longer literally twice my “ideal” weight, but I did note there was considerably less in the pain in the feet this evening as I got up to get the bratwursts out of the oven.

It is a little disappointing that I had to give up YouTube Premium. But I just don't have the money to spend $15 a month for freaking YOUTUBE. If I remember correctly they started out at around $8/month, then they eventually got up to $12/month. And then they started to charge tax on top of the subscription fee, and then last month I got an email saying that they raised their price to $13.99 +Tax! And when I'm doing the math it really is closer to $16/month just so I don't have to see advertisements. I'm just praying that they can get more advertisements than just that one damned SCREAMING advertisement for that one mobile game that seemed to play on repeat the last time I gave up on YouTube Premium.

I keep coming back to a thought that if the biggest companies just re-balanced their profit margins they could lower the cost to subscribe or the price of buying their products, and people will be more willing to buy/subscribe. But no, it isn't about making some money, it is about making ALL OF THE MONEY. And of course there's no reason they should lower their profit margins when they could just raise their rates without any justification or recourse
