I need to get myself out of bed earlier. I wake up around 8 every morning and I just lay around waiting until I have to get ready for work. I know I have things that I want to do, need to do, but I'm just laying there, waiting until I have to go to work. I don't feel depressed (well I'm not all that excited to go back to work) I just feel so comfortable laying there.
Didn't take the time for breakfast again today. But it didn't effect me much today. Perhaps it was because of how busy it was for the first couple of hours of work. Today started out just as busy as it was yesterday, but it eventually faded off. I've, ironically, always worked on Labor Day, so I'm not sure what people are doing when they're “celebrating” the weekend. But whatever they were doing they got to doing that and it got rather quiet in the store. The funny thing is that they scheduled extra help to deal with the “holiday rush” but the struggle was keeping the teenagers working when there didn't seem to be any work to be done and you're expecting a return of the rush at any moment.
Today's shift had a 6-2 split. Which, ouch. I don't know the last time I was scheduled six hours straight, much less worked six hours without a break. But I do have to say my feet still feel pretty good at lunchtime. I usually work a 4-4 or 5-3 split. And at the end of the first four hours my feet are usually very grumpy with me, but not today. Legs and feet are kind of stiff and sore, but again I'm more than double my “ideal” weight, but I'm not limping nearly as bad as most days. My arms are also kind of sore, but that might be dehydration. I really do need to drink more water.
Bought some sausages for lunch, they are “Keto” but I need to break the habit of buying lunch. I have food at home that I have already paid for and I need to get into the habit of eating. I picked up the Beddar with Cheddar because I've been eating the Jalapeno with Cheddar a lot recently. I forgot that I'm not really a fan of the Beddar with Cheddar flavor. They have a kind of “artificial” flavor. I'm sure that they're just as “artificial” as the Jalapeno flavored ones, but perhaps the spiciness of the jalapeno masks the fake flavor of the meat. Another thing I'm curious about is if the word “beddar” has some sort of meaning with the “cheddar” in the name of those. The writing program where I write these blogs out doesn't recognize the word and when I google it, the word just links back to the sausages.
I did have a couple of the bottles of water that are there for the baggers, but again I didn't drink that much water. I did find the water bottle that I had bought, but I didn't take the time before work to fill it and take it with me and I didn't think of taking it with me until I was already back from lunch. I did have a couple of the Kroger Energy Shots, and I do know that I do need to break the habit of those energy shots, but it is hard when you're feeling that lethargic. But I do have a history of feeling better when I'm doing better on my diet.
After work I really wasn't hungry. And although I've heard some good things about OMAD and other fasting strategies, and I don't know if I want to go so hard into those schemes (not in the negative sense of the word), but I do want to focus on the idea that “Food is fuel”. I need to focus on eating when I'm hungry, not because it is time I should be eating, or those are the planned out meals for the day.
If I do get hungry later this evening I do have a serving Tuna Mornay Casserole in the fridge that can have so I'm not going to try to starve myself to tell myself that I'm trying to only eat when hungry.
