Really excited that the credit card finally came in. Not in the manner of “Whoohoo shopping spree!” but more in the manner of I've spent the last month or so planning and waiting for this puzzle piece to come in. I didn't get the posts done in the last couple of days as the other night I was watching the lunar eclipse and last night when I got home the credit card was here and I did another rebalance of the budget plan. The last rebalance was because there is a $5 bonus for signing up for autopay on the phone bill, but when I tried to put the credit card on the autopay it said that the card w...

Had a hard time getting started today. I didn't post yesterday, I decided to pickup a pack of White Claw. And I think it effected me this morning. It wasn't a hangover, and I wasn't still drunk, I just had no GO. I don't think it was depression, I wasn't sad, I was just so damned numb. (Okay that might be depression) Alcohol is a depressant and one of the many reasons that I want to be quitting alcohol. But then again it could have been a light hangover, I was thirsty as hell when I woke up this morning.

I'm using blankets as blackout curtains to keep the sun out of my room during the day to try to keep the electricity bill down. And I need to remember to take them down at night. It is a lot easier to wake up in the morning when there's sunlight coming into the room. (I also need to get rid of alcohol)

Today was another suspiciously smooth day. Especially as I was running the self checkout for several hours. It kind of helps that everybody actually showed up for work! You wouldn't think that would be a big deal, but wow that is a rarity lately. (heh, “lately” for the last couple of years) We were still understaffed, but at least we're understaffed with everybody showing up for work. It does make it hard to make a blog post when there's nothing to whine about though.

I am proud of myself for not picking up any of the soda that was on sale last week. The sale was buy two 12 packs and get three for free. Soda is another thing I'm trying to quit. Haven't been doing very well the last couple of days quitting soda with the Red Bull and Energy Shots that I've been buying over the last couple of days. But at least I wasn't drinking the 12 packs of soda. Because of the way I drink I would have been constantly finishing off a can and then immediately grabbing another one. Another thing that is going to help me with quitting the beer is that the large cans that were on sale for $0.99 per can the sale has ended. They're $1.49 a can. So still quite cheap, but harder to justify buying.

Over the course of the day I have noticed that my bones and joints have started to pop and crackle again. I see this as a bonus, I think it is a sign that the inflation and water retention is going down. This happens when I get back into the diet.
