I kind of wonder if I should have restarted the Keto Kount when I went to the buffet on Sunday for Mother's Day. Oh well, still down 10.7 lbs since the beginning of the year and 21.6 lbs since this day last year. So still making rocking progress, but I would like it if that progress continued, or at the very least not go backwards. Woke up at pretty close to 8am like I normally do. Actually woke up before the alarm. I thought since I work an hour later than I normally do I'd just go ahead and just lay there. But the dogs had a different idea as they thought it'd be ...

CORRECTION: The last couple of days I've been mentioning that I had a lot of KC Strip Steaks, I looked over these again and they are actually Top Loin Steaks. I'm not sure if that makes much difference in much, but I thought it would be good to point out in case anyone gets confused by the sudden switch in the steaks that I'll be eating for the next week or so. (laughing at myself for typing that like anyone actually reads these)

Had a slow start to the morning. Woke up a bit late and it took a bit of convincing to get up and moving. Not that I felt bad, it's just that it was nice to lay in bed and scroll though the phone. I've heard that a lot of people don't keep their phones near their beds. I think that might be a good idea to start doing.

Spent all morning getting a weekly weigh in video done. Didn't have time to make breakfast so I just grilled a Top Loin Steak for lunch.

Only worked 4:30 to 9 this evening, so it was kind of a short day. It went by pretty smoothly, I was the PIC (Person In Charge) for the evening. This meant that I was responsible for opening the trash compactor, and the back door, as well as signing off on the department closing lists. There was a big wig that came in from the office and pointed out a few issues with the dairy department that I was trying to clean up. PIC really isn't supposed to spend all night in the dairy, but let's say that there is an “area of opportunity” with some of the workers in that department. To be honest all of the departments were struggling. Everybody is just so tired. Patience is very low. I'm not sure if it's the pandemic, or other reasons. But everybody is just so worn out. This applies to both associates and customers

This afternoon before work I set up a slow cooker with a chuck roast in it. I also put a can of beef broth, an envelope of onion soup mix, and a stick of butter. I also picked up a box of mac and cheese to go with, just out of habit. This is a bad habit, I really need to quit picking up food after work. I already have food at home there's no reason to be picking up more. The roast turned out okay, however what I was hoping for was coming home to the smell of the slow cooker working all day to spread the scent of beef all of the house. The problem was I am horrible house keeper. So I opened the door, stepped inside and took a massive whiff of week old dirty dishes and full trash cans.
