Man I need to get these dishes done. They are seriously reeking up my house.
Taco Bell for lunch really wasn't on the meal plan. But I do have to say that the Doritos taco with spicy ranch dressing is dangerously good.
Got my car oil change done. I took it to a local garage instead of back to the dealership. Last oil change I took it to the dealership and it took them five or six hours to do the change because they "don't follow their online appointments". But this only took about an hour or so to get my car in and oil changed. I also had them do a check on the engine.
The last couple of months the engine just sounded rough as hell. It sounded like it had a bad throat or something. When the mechanic looked at the car the air intake and the left side of the engine were all covered in oil. Which bewildered him because there shouldn't be any way for oil to come out of the air intake. Air intake and all of the top of the engine is supposed to be all air, no oil anywhere near those areas.
This made me quite nervous; thinking that the engine split open or something. But he told me that it's more likely that whoever did the last service spilled oil everywhere and since oil doesn't evaporate or dry up on it's own, and really doesn't go away unless it's burning. So oil in the air intake was what was causing the “Sore throat” sound. I asked him if the last people had put too much in causing the oil to back up into the air system. He said that was possible, but when he drained the old oil it didn't seem to have too much in it. He said that what's more likely is that when the last people were putting the oil in they let the funnel rest on the bottom of the tank and when that happens there's not enough room for the oil to go down into the tank so it spills out everywhere. I was a bit surprised to think of a paid mechanic (from the dealership) not knowing that. Heck I know that. It's good to know that there really isn't anything wrong with the car itself. Going in I was afraid of them just throwing a bunch of jargon at me. “Well, you see. The jolly loggers
were misaligned with the floppy knockers leading the sally naggers to
speculate. We could fix this, but it'll take six months and cost
roughly the GDP of North America” But no, it just needed cleaned
off and he says that everything looks good on it. He was really
impressed with the Hemi engine though.
For dinner I went to the store to get
stuff to make Taco Salad. But the ribs were on sale. I still got the
stuff to make the salad. I think I'll make that for tomorrow. I work late in the afternoon so I should have most of the day to clean up around the house. I don't have any excuses why I didn't clean up any today other than Tuesdays are supposed to be my sabbath so I really did sit at the computer all day just sitting here thinking of all of the things I want to be doing
