I just kind of sat here at the computer counting down the time until I had to go to work. I worked Noon to Nine closing the Customer Service Desk instead of the normal 11a-8pm Supervisor shift that I usually do. I drank an entire pot of coffee, but I'm just sitting here zoned out. I had thought a couple of times that I need to get a plan together for what I'm going to cook on Tuesday for the weekly lunch. But then I zone back out. First half of the day went really smoothly. Not sure if I should write this down. This is being logged at lunch. I worked a 3:5 split so I went to lunch at 3pm and will have to work 4 to 9. The challenge of the first half of today was that I wasn't supervisor I was s...

Keto Day 3
Sober Month 5 (Day 155)

I seem to be in a bit of a Weight Loss Plateau. But looking at the data of the year that seems to be the pattern. January was pretty flat, February had pretty good progress, March was pretty flat, and then April had good progress, and now May is flat. So I'm not sure if that is normal, but I am making amazing progress for the year.

I didn't get a chance to take any notes today. I do remember that there were moments that I wanted to write things down. But good gravy today was swamped busy. It was the Friday of a holiday weekend and there are rumors of bad weather over the next couple of days.

It was insanely busy and I did have more than one person ask me if the help that we had was all of the help we had. And yeah, that's all they gave us. I'm sorry. You'll have to wait your turn.

I was running like crazy all day long and later in the evening I had people tell me that I looked tired. Imagine that. I had worked a 5:3 split and I was running (emphasis on “run”) Self Checkout for three hours of the first half. One of the store managers had brought up a cart of balloons to the self checkout and said, “It looks like it is starting to slow down, try to hook these onto the registers” There were enough balloons to clip two balloons to each of the Self Checkout registers. But my heart sank when I heard her say the phrase, “It looks like it's starting to slow down” That's just something you don't say. And of course because she said that half of the population of the western hemisphere seemed to swarm to the self checkout.

I was going to go to Walmart after work to pick up a new computer mouse as the current one's track wheel is just about done. But I was too tired to think about it until it was just too late to go out again.

As I did get the paycheck yesterday I went ahead and paid the Gas Bill last night, usually when I pay the gas bill the payment doesn't reach my bank account until the next day. It hasn't came through yet. I'm not too worried about it going through, but it is a small annoyance that I have to wait and keep doing the math of how much I have now and the amount I'll have whenever that decides to come through. I doubt that it'll go through tomorrow as that's Saturday, and Monday is Memorial Day so it'll probably Tuesday when that does finally go through. I'm not worried about it going through, it's just the waiting for it to go through is a bit annoying.

I was too tired after work to do much for dinner so I just threw some brats into the oven. They were on the meal list for the week so I'm not out of the plan. But I did just have brats a couple of days ago for lunch.

On a bit of mixed news is Roommate was approved for his Long Term Disability. He said that if everything goes the way he's planning on he'll have his half of the rent to me by the first week of June and by the end of June he'll be able to reimburse me for his half of the bills. Which would be FANTASTIC for me. The mixed news is that he's approved for six months of support. The good is that he's getting to pay the next six months of bills and rent and he said that he'll be paying that the last week of each month for the following month (which is my plan as well) but the "bad" is that means he's going to be home and not going to work for at least six months.
