Yeah, I was annoyed a bit because as it's so early in the month it throws off the stats for the month. But I'm thinking that as I had mixed nuts for lunch yesterday I'm retaining a lot of water because of all of the salt in those nuts. And also I tend to weigh more the day after I have those jalapeno cheddar sausages. I don't expect the higher weight will last very long. I didn't print anything today as I've already printed all of the parts that I have already scaled to my size. It'll be a bit before I've re-scaled more pieces. As I am quite out of practice scaling parts. And I can't seem to find time or energy to work on them. ...

Starting off the reminding myself to take some “Vitamin P” It's only three days into the new year. And the half a pound that I gained over the last few days are well within the normal expected fluctuations. And although I haven't been 100% on my diet, I've been doing pretty okay.

Or at least I was doing okay this morning. Roommate had a doctor's appointment this morning so I didn't have time to cook the Bacon and Eggs that I usually have. So I didn't have the normal breakfast, but Dr Berry says that even if you just grab some hot dogs, that's still doing good on the diet. But I figure the Johnsonville Jalapeno Sausages taste better than the regular hot dogs. (Not sponsored)

And it was when I was trying to buy breakfast I found out the craziness that I was going to deal with all day. I was expecting it to be busy. It was the first Friday of the Month/Year the Friday after a major holiday, there's a pretty serious winter storm expected this weekend. Customer Service Manager was nice enough to ask some people to work late and come in early. But GOOD GOD I have never in the 22 and a half years that I've worked at the store had ever seen anything like that before. From the time I clocked in at 11am to the time I finally got off at 8:15 (got out late) it was just a solid run the entire time. There's a system that counts the number of people standing in line at the store and how long they stand in line. They, naturally, want the lines to stay short and people get through the lines quickly. So they want the percentage of people standing next in line to be more than about 80% and the average weight time to be less than 62 seconds. The average wait time today was 190 seconds (more than 3 minutes) and there were a couple of hours today that the “Que percentage” dropped to zero. That was HOURS that the percentage of people that stood next in line was zero. When I was let out for lunch normally the other person would open another register and the person going to lunch would just shut down. But today that would NOT have worked. There were two registers open the entire day. And I'm pretty sure that the only reason that I still have a job is because, thank Christ, nobody complained to me that there weren't more registers open. And every time someone had a frustration they didn't try to argue the facts about anything.

I did get out of the register for a moment or two to grab a Sugar Free Red Bull, but the shelf was wiped out so I got one from one of the register refrigerators. I don't like drinking drinks cold. And was reminded of that when I was trying to chug the red bull and started getting a headache

At lunch I was too worn out to go home to have anything that I already planned out. So I grabbed some fried chicken. It still took 12 minutes to get checked out. I even went up to the desk to checkout there. Seriously the lines were going from the Self Checkout and the first two regular registers around the pharmacy and well into the Bakery. And most people reading this won't know how far that is, but that's the entire length of the front of the store and about half the side of the eastern side of the building.

It was insane today. I decided that I really wanted a beer. But I really didn't want a beer. I'm two and a half weeks in, I haven't been this far in since July. And I wouldn't want to drop off because of a crazy day. So I decided to buy some "Near Beer" I'm not sure if that counts, but I'm not in the mood to argue. But the store where I work was completely wiped out of a lot of stuff. So I ran over to the bigger store on the north end of town. And I couldn't see all of their stats, but their Average Wait Time is on their monitor, their wait time was 250 seconds (more than 4 minutes) I was going to pick up a Deli Pizza, but their store was more wiped out than ours was. So I was going to pick up a frozen pizza and the only kind left was the fancy (well "fancy" for Frozen Pizza) Red Baron Hand Tossed pizza. This is pretty good, but more than I'd normally pay for a frozen pizza.

A news story got my attention, the Surgeon General is wanting to add a cancer warning to alcoholic drinks. The news stories say that Alcohol is one of the leading causes of cancer along with tobacco (not something that I personally struggle with) and Obesity (something that I am DEFINITELY struggling with). The types of cancer that they warn of are: Mouth, Throat, Voice Box, Esophagus (odd that there's throat and esophagus cancers) Breast, Liver (a bit obvious there) and, what got my attention, Colon and Rectum cancer. That last one is the one that took Dad. So I have a genetic history of that.

This is a late post because it took a couple of hours to recover from the SWARM all day at work.
