I just kind of sat here at the computer counting down the time until I had to go to work. I worked Noon to Nine closing the Customer Service Desk instead of the normal 11a-8pm Supervisor shift that I usually do. I drank an entire pot of coffee, but I'm just sitting here zoned out. I had thought a couple of times that I need to get a plan together for what I'm going to cook on Tuesday for the weekly lunch. But then I zone back out. First half of the day went really smoothly. Not sure if I should write this down. This is being logged at lunch. I worked a 3:5 split so I went to lunch at 3pm and will have to work 4 to 9. Recorded a General Update video this morning. Probably going to be spending all day thinking about the things I wanted to have mentioned. For instance I wanted to mention that I started off 2023 sober. Kind of helps that the first was a Sunday and I have about five whole dollars to my name.

Once again I wake up with a ton of hope and optimism, and then I go to work and it feels like a giant gut punch. We only had one person call in, so far at my lunch break, but that shift was covered by someone who was asking for more hours anyway. But it's kind of bad when you can feel your emotions deflating as you walk into a building.

Got tired of pork steak every night so I baked up some of the chicken that I had in the freezer. Unfortunately it was the last of the chicken in the freezer. But tomorrow is Tuesday and when I write a check on Tuesday it processes on Thursday, which is the day I get paid. I'm going to be going to be picking up more chicken and I'm going to have to choose a casserole to pick up the ingredients for the Tuesday recipe video.

But still down for the month and amazing progress for the year. The bacon was looking a bit rough when I cooked it this morning. It was just kind of gray while it cooked. I don't know if it's going bad on me, but I'm hoping it can stick it out until Tuesday. I did get around to getting the guts to share my opinion on what is probably going to happen when/if President Trump gets his way with the tariffs  Amazing weather outside today. And it wouldn't be a great idea to drive it back and forth too much. He did say that it would be fine to leave it at the shop until they get the chance to work on it. Some of their people are out of town on training so they wont be able to fix it today, but they'll really try to get it done tomorrow.
