Thank you to all who served. Quick post because I spent the day at Mom's house doing laundry. I don't know what happened to the entire evening as I got home around 8 (I think) I did inventory of the food in the freezer and then cooked the Cabbage Soup that I'm planning for dinner and I was shocked to see that it was 11:30. well, I did have to run to the store at around 9pm to grab a bag of cauliflower rice that I had forgotten when I did the shopping this morning while Roommate was at his doctor's appointment. It really shouldn't have taken two and a half hours to cook that soup. It's not a complicated soup.  As I was at Mom's house when I would have normally had lunch I didn't have lunch. 1,000% certain...

Kind of grumbling about today's weigh in. I know that I shouldn't be too broken up about the day to day, and just keep in mind the weekly average. And it's only up one pound. But I'm up a pound the morning after eating an entire box of mac and cheese. I'm mainly just grumpy because I'm back over 340. So am I back over 340 because I ate some pasta, because I'm one person eating a box of mac and cheese that is intended for 4 people, or is it just day to day fluctuations. I'm telling myself not to worry about it.

I was going to do some grocery shopping to buy another couple of recipes to make videos of, but this next week I have the electricity and natural gas bills coming through. At least I'm praying that they come through next week. When you pay the bills at the store it takes about a week and a half for the check to process; the payment is posted to the utility immediately, but the bank doesn't get it until much later so you can have your bills paid, and then still wait until the next paycheck to pay it. The concern at the moment is that I might be being too cocky and budgeting the checks to land on Thursday but if they land on Tuesday or Wednesday. I'll be in a very bad way. They'd generate over daft fees at my bank and then returned check fees (I think) from the utilities. And I really can't afford extra fees to pop out of nowhere, that's why I was worried by the Avast charge that came out of nowhere last week. So this week I'm having the Electricity and Natural Gas bills coming through and next week I'm going to be paying the car insurance, and between those three bills I'm not going to have a lot of money for a lot of groceries.

Ha, that makes it sound dramatic. (Donations still appreciated) But I do have half a freezer full of food, and I can still afford chicken and eggs. I might be eating a lot of hot dogs over the next couple of weeks. I'm not quite as bad as “The Ramen Diet” just yet, but I'll have to be careful. I do have two recipe videos uploaded. One going live today, and one coming up next week. But it might be mid-February before I get another one done. Heck all I got was some Bacon, Cheese, and Chicken and it was close to $50! I'm rounding down on my paycheck estimates, but it's going to be tight the next couple of weeks.

My old car that I had driven into the ground was still sitting in my parking spot. I had bought a new car back in 2020 and just had never gotten around to getting rid of the old one. My landlord sent me a text saying that the Homeowners association was getting upset with cars with expired tags in their parking lots. It was just a matter of going onto google and looking around to see how to get rid of an old car. Found a site where they take old cars as a donation for children's charities. Three minutes and 24 hours to take care of something that I should have done three years ago. Heck, it's even tax deductible. (Kind of wish I would have done this a couple of weeks ago so I could have had that on this years tax returns -_-)

Had a large, late lunch so I wasn't really hungry for dinner. I did take some time to play some Minecraft. I have scheduled overtime this week so today is my only day off this week, and it was nice to sit here and play a video game for a while.
