I just kind of sat here at the computer counting down the time until I had to go to work. I worked Noon to Nine closing the Customer Service Desk instead of the normal 11a-8pm Supervisor shift that I usually do. I drank an entire pot of coffee, but I'm just sitting here zoned out. I had thought a couple of times that I need to get a plan together for what I'm going to cook on Tuesday for the weekly lunch. But then I zone back out. First half of the day went really smoothly. Not sure if I should write this down. This is being logged at lunch. I worked a 3:5 split so I went to lunch at 3pm and will have to work 4 to 9. The challenge of the first half of today was that I wasn't supervisor I was s...

FINALLY trash day. I had forgotten to take my dumpster out to the curb last week so it was overfilled so I couldn't take out the trash for the last several days. I'm a bit annoyed that when I got the initial trash taken out it half filled the damned dumpster. Oh well, that's another great thing about the meal plan, er, plan that I want to follow. It doesn't generate much waste.

First half of work went amazingly smoothly. Which is interesting because I was running the self checkout for three hours. I still hate running self checkout. But at least with the mental energy that I have from the diet I was able to keep up with the whirling spinning dance that is running self checkout. Feet and calves are still very grumpy at me. And I still had to repeat myself, repeat myself, repeat myself with everything I said, but I was able to get through it fairly smoothly. I'm starting to think it might be time for some new shoes. Unfortunately I don't have MONEY for new shoes. I'm budgeting for the rent check to come in this week and I'll only have about $30 to last until next Thursday. Thank CHRIST that I already have food planned, bought, and cooked. ANOTHER reason that I'm loving the meal plan plan.

And HOLY MOSASAUR! The physical energy met the mental energy during the second half of the day. I'm not sure if it was the Cordon Bleu soup that I had for lunch (which is a carnivore recipe as far as I can tell) or if I got into full Ketosis. But if my feet, knees, and dignity didn't vote heavily against it I would have been dancing around the store. Which is most definitely not something I get to say very often in the second half of the shift. I just couldn't contain my energy.

I decided to bake the bratwursts for dinner this evening so I could do the dishes while they baked. Feet were really wanting me to sit down. But all of the bowls and spoons were dirty so I forced myself to get them done. I only had lunch microwaved because I had the foresight to put it into one of the glass lunchboxes that I have. I did manage to get the dishes done, although my feet were REALLY telling me that I was wanting to sit down. But I really needed to get the dishes done. When I got home this evening the kitchen wasn't smelling quite as bad as it was yesterday when I had gotten home for lunch, but the dishes really needed to be done and not doing the dishes each day just makes it worse for the next day. But I do have to say that cleaning the dishes for the Cordon Bleu soup went amazingly smoothly. For a recipe that I cooked two days ago, it was amazingly easy to clan up after. All I had to do was, mostly, rinse out the Dutch Oven that I cooked it in and the bowls that I used to portioned it out in. And I do have to say that there have been quite a few things that I've cooked that I didn't get a chance to clean up after until a few days later, but I do have to say that those have been a lot harder to clean up after.
