Feet hurt again
today. But only when I first stood up. Was excited to see another
record low for the year. Still 8.4 lbs (3.8 kg) from the lowest
weight of last year. But I'm still glad for the progress for the
year.
When I woke up
this morning my right ear felt plugged up. Nose was drippy all day
long. Not enough snot to get a good blow to clear the entire thing,
just a bit of annoying little stream.
I was really
tired the first half of the day. I'm not sure if it was the weather
or what. The last couple of days was really warm and sunny. Today was
dark and cloudy. The ambient temperature wasn't that bad, but that
wind was biting.
The Google Doodle
today celebrated World Quantum Mechanics Day. Just like with
everything else with science I would like to know more about it, but
when I start reading about Quantum Mechanics my eyes go all sideways.
I've seen a quote, “If you think you understand Quantum Mechanics,
you really don't understand Quantum Mechanics”
There was a lady
that came through and in her order there was a box of cookies that
were proudly labeled “Plant Based Cookies” ALL cookies are plant
biased. She changed her mind on the cookies, but was upset about it
because she wanted it because it's clearly the healthier option,
because it's plant based. I didn't argue with her. But when I talked
to my coworkers nobody understood what I was saying about ALL cookies
being plant based. Out side of cream and butter, is there any other
animal products in Cookies? I'm pretty sure cookies are all just
flour and sugar.
For lunch I was going to have Tuna Mornay, but that serving had been sitting in the fridge for a while and I didn't want to take my chances with it.
An older lady
carryout asked if we sold a certain brand of shampoo. I wasn't
familiar with the brand so I grabbed a scanner that the store has
that we could look up items to see if we sell them, or where they are
in the store. I looked it up and it said that we did have it and I
walked over to where the scanner said it was, and it was in stock.
When I told the lady that it was here. She said that she knew it was
over on the shelf, she just didn't know if we sold it. WHAT THE HELL
DOES THAT MEAN?! She knew it was on the shelf but didn't know if that
meant we sold it?
I helped moving
some tables from the seasonal isle. They are re-polishing the floors.
I'm a little disappointed. A little while ago the store manager told
me that they were going to be “redoing” the floor pretty soon. I
was hoping that they'd actually do something with the floor. Several
years ago they had pealed up the tiles, but they just left the
concrete floor behind. I have to say it does look a bit trash. I was
hoping that we'd get the finished floor like they have up on the big store on
the north end of town. But nope, they're just re-polishing the
concrete floor
