I don't need to be on my phone while at work. But it did make the first half really long. Also gave me several heart attacks over the day as I would reach down to my pocket and the phone wasn't there. Took a lot of control to not buy something for lunch. I was really wanting to buy some Fried Chicken or Doritos (not sponsored) or something. I was drinking energy drinks all day long but I was just dragging ass all day long. I was craving something with a lot of flavor i...

Keto Month 1 (Day 35)
Sober Month 4 (Day 129)

Really had a hard time getting going this morning. I was surprised when I woke up and it was already 9:30am. And I had to work at 11am. I spent the most of the next hour and a half doing math of how long I have left until I have to get up and start getting ready for work. I just could not get up and going. So I didn't have time to have breakfast. I was able to get in a minute or two early to grab a pack of hot dogs and a red bull (not sponsored) Frustratingly everybody seemed to get in my way and just plod along. It took a lot of self control to not just put my shoulder down and charge through the crowd.

I was in a really sour mood all day. You could probably tell by the post. Somebody said that it was probably the weather. The last couple of days have been dark and rainy. My favorite kind of weather dark cloudy, a bit cool, but not cold. There was a light steady rain like this area has been needing for a while now. Later in the evening it stopped raining and I kept sneaking out of the store to just stand outside in the dark cool weather.

I was talking to the Backup Customer Service Manager about some oddities about the schedule this week and the next a lady started screaming out my name. I went over to where she was standing in line and she DEMANDED to know why I wasn't opening up another register for her. I told her that she was literally next in line and the person in front of her was already paying. The register belt was empty waiting for her items. She said that this was the second week in a row that she was TRAUMATIZED because she was FORCED to stand in line. What is your life like if standing the very next person in line at a grocery store and the person in front of you is already paying is traumatizing to you? Seriously it took her longer to complain about standing in line than it took her to stand in line. How traumatizing.

I was in customer service for a little bit because the Backup Customer Service Manager had overtime and the other lady who was supposed to be in there was on lunch. And since I'm “just supervising and not really doing anything (which is a conversation in itself) she had me in the desk. I was helping a guy send money. He was having a hard time with it because he seemed to have a hard time with English (Not hating, English is supposedly a hard language to learn) one of the cashier ladies shut down her register and helped another customer standing in line. I wasn't paying attention and it's hard to see from inside the desk so I thought that the line was building up. But after she helped one guy she went back to her register. I thought it was a bit odd, but whatever at least that one guy was helped quicker. After I helped the guy with his money transfer the cashier told me that she had helped that guy because he told her that he, “Didn't really care for the guy in customer service.” I didn't see the person that she helped, but I can't really say that I care if anybody at the store cares about me or not anymore.

Had a weird moment when someone called the store from another store saying that somebody at their store had tried to use a couple of $100 bills that said, “For Movie Purposes Only” across the top of the bills. Basically it was prop money that they use for movies and TV shows. It happens from time to time people think they can get away with buying prop money off of the internet and use it in the stores. And if the cashier isn't paying attention they will be right, they'll get away with it. Technically you're supposed to call the police if someone is trying to do that. But nobody ever does. But when I tried to spread the news to look out for this money that says “movie use only” on the top of them. One of the cashiers got a really confused look on their face, “What does it mean by, 'boobie' use only?” It is for MOVIES it is prop money for MOVIES. "People use money to prop up their boobies?" Well, yeah kind of. But that's really not what I'm talking about here. It took me several minutes of describing and explaining to convince her that there are pieces of paper that look like money that they use in MOVIES.

I felt really energized after lunch. But I had to be careful because being really energized and in a sour mood can be a bit dangerous. And I did have to lock my jaw a couple of times dealing with frustrating people.

This evening I made an AI inspired meatloaf as I had some ground beef out of the freezer and I wasn't sure what else to do with it. I did come out alright, but there was a lot of grease in the baking dish. But that might just be the grade of beef.
