Had a hard time falling asleep last night. I'm guessing it was the water weight from the salty nuts that I had for lunch the other day because I kept having to get up and go pee. At least I woke up for all of the times I had to go.
Today was another dark and dreary day. It started off with a nice gentle rain. But it made it cold all day long. I'm not really looking forward to the blazing heat of summer, but it will be nice when it warms up enough to open the windows and turn off the heater.
Getting to work this morning I had a headache again today. I thought about grabbing a Sports Drink of some kind Powerade is usually cheaper (not sponsored) but every time it started to calm down enough for me to get a break the swarm came back in. The headache wasn't strong enough to effect to debilitate me, but it did make me a bit irritable. At least I knew I was irritable and was able to keep myself from snapping at people.
A lady had a note from her doctor and it mentioned some things she could have to “alleviate her thirst” one of the things listed was something called “Fruit Ice” she wanted to know what was meant by “Fruit Ice” I told her that I didn't know. I know that there is a brand of drinks known as “Ice” (not sponsored )they're fruit flavored sparkling water. She insisted that she didn't want those, she wanted “Fruit Ice” I told her that I didn't know what fruit ice was. I looked it up on Google and it just showed very AI looking pictures of Ice Cubes with chunks of fruit and berries in them. She insisted that wasn't what she was looking for, she wanted “Fruit Ice” because that is what her doctor said that she could have. Another thing that was listed was Popsicle's I led her to where those where she insisted that she knew what Popsicle's were, but she didn't know what fruit ice was. Neither did I but she didn't seem to like that answer, but that was the answer that I had to give her. But it was another one of those situations where someone didn't like the answer that I gave them so she just rephrases the question. She insisted that she wasn't allowed to have anything red. I didn't ask questions, because it seemed to be a medical issue therefore not my business. I'm guessing she's having some sort of medical procedure soon and isn't supposed to be eating or drinking much leading up to it. But I still don't know what she was asking for.
I caught the corner of my thumbnail on something and I had to trim the nail down to the pink again. It seems like I do that a lot.
I'm also really kind of irritated at the guy who was supposed to be running Self Check Out. About 20 min into his shift he asked to go out to get a smoke break. Sure what ever, just be quick. An hour and a half later he's asking to go out and smoke a “real cigarette” because the vape “didn't hit right” I told him that it was busy and he went to lunch in 20 minutes he could wait until then. I'm doing supervisor stuff running round like crazy, I come back by Self Check Out 10 minutes later and the security guard is running Self Check Out because the guy needed to go out to smoke. Security guard doesn't know how to run Self Check Out. But he knows enough to poke at it to keep it going. But again I told the cashier that he couldn't go out and smoke, he had to wait until his lunch break. I don't smoke so I don't know how much that addiction effects people, but can you seriously not wait 20 minutes until you have time to smoke? I know that he's been talked to before about leaving Self Check out unattended while he went out to smoke. I get addictions. I'm still kind of struggling with beer. But I don't understand not being able to wait for a little bit until you're lunch break to get a smoke. He got back from lunch only a little bit before I left for the night, but I'm willing to bet that he went out several more times after I left.
This morning Roommate said something about ordering pizza this evening. I was kind of nervous about that because I really didn't want to turn down pizza. I shouldn't have pizza, but I really want pizza. But I guess he forgot about it because he was still playing Call of Duty when I got home.
