Always a bit irritating to weigh the exact same as the day before. Sure there will be daily fluctuations, but weight being up makes one wonder of the decisions of the day before and being down is a great reinforcement of the lifestyle. But being the same as the previous day? What does that mean? Hey, at least the waist is down and so is the fat weight on the watch scan.
I was a bit scared for a moment when I came downstairs in the morning. Yesterday was warm enough to turn off the heater and open up the windows. And I forgot to close the windows last night when I went to bed. And it was quite cool downstairs this morning. Not in a dangerous level or a point where I would turn the heater back on. But it did remind me of the other years when the heater did go out and the Landlord would have to come out and fix it. That hasn't happened in a while (knock on wood) and he's good at doing that. I was relieved when I relieved that it was just because I had left the windows open. I did think about closing them this morning as that breeze was pretty chilly. But the fresh air was nice. And it is nice that most of this week is going to be temperate enough to leave the windows open and the heater off.
As I bought groceries today I came across a Choice Top Loin Steak on markdown. I couldn't help but mark that for my lunch. I did once again pay too much for groceries this week. Every week I tell myself that I'm not going to buy that much. I set up a recurring “bill” in my financial program to try to budget for groceries. I planned that “bill” to be $150 because that seemed like a “right” amount. Naturally I spent $171.00 and rounded the check up to $180. (to make the math easier) But a good chunk of that was again, "It was pretty expensive, but at least it's not something I buy every day" Next Monday is St. Patrick's Day and Corned Beef is on sale and there was a digital coupon on a case of Monster Energy that I'm going to use to have for lunch this next week or two.
That third part that I printed last night that was starting to separate from the bed turned out alright. It does have a small deformation, but it's the kind that if someone can see it, they're standing close enough to get smacked. That was the third part of the helmet that I'm currently printing off. The fourth piece took a bit of stubbornness to get going. It was SUPPOSED to take 3 hours and 18 minutes. But it would print for an hour or so and then a big layer shift would ruin the model. It did that three times until I rearranged the model on the plate and then it printed just fine. I'm not sure why it didn't want to work on the spot that it was on, but at least it finally printed...five hours into the three hour print. I'm just glad that it did continue to print instead of just turning the nozzle into a giant ball of plastic like the older printers tended to. The fifth piece printed quite well (knock on wood as it's still printing as I'm typing this part) but for some reason the software stopped playing the camera so I went downstairs to check on it. It had been going for an hour or so, but it was going beautifully. However I thought it had a bad line on the model, so I was going to rub a finger on the part. Not a smart idea. As I was reaching into the moving machine the nozzle smacked my hand and I accidentally knocked a support column off of the print and had to start it over again. That kinda hurt, both the hand and having to start the print over again. It is a four hour print. The camera is streaming to my phone so it isn't the camera or the printer, but I can't figure out why it isn't going to my computer.
Bit of loss in my life. This morning when I was putting water in the carafe for the coffee this morning I accidentally smacked it against some of the dirty plates that were in the sink. I checked the plate and the plate wasn't damaged. So I went ahead and made the coffee. It was strange that the coffee pot kept hissing. And then I noticed that there was a puddle on the floor in front of the coffee maker. I looked at the glass carafe and yep, there were small cracks in the front bottom of the container. Thinking about it, I'm pretty sure that it was one of the first things that I bought when I first moved out of Mom's house back forever ago. Long enough that it probably should have been replaced by now.
Roommate finally got around to cooking his potatoes and sausage in the slow cooker. He was scaring the hell out of me as he was cutting up the potatoes as he got the little red potatoes and was trying to cut them up with a pairing knife. He was screaming and cussing at each potato and scream out in frustration as the knife finally cut through. So I would hear the knife smack the plate and then, "YEEEAAAAGHHHH" It sounded like he cut his damned thumb off with every potato that he cut up.
