Still up for the month, but I'm not too worried about that. It's only 1.4 lbs (0.63 kg) from the record for the year and the month is just getting started. It's kind of strange how it's only and already April so far. This year is blazing by and also seemingly stretching on for forever. Was kinda slow getting up this morning. I barely had time to weigh in and cook breakfast before I had to run out of the door for work. Breakfast was strip steak and eggs. But that's going to be the last steak and eggs for a while. The strip steaks came in packs of 3 for about $35 and the bacon comes in $15 packs that last for about a week and a half. So th...

I was a bit scattered today. Roommate woke me up early so I could drive him to his appointment. While he was there I worked on an AI inspired recipe. I had a hard time getting things out of the way and getting started on it so I had to go pick him up from his appointment before I was done cooking. He was agreeable to stay quiet while I finished cooking. It gave me hope that I could go ahead and do my cooking channel while he's home. It'll still be better to do it when he's out, but at least there is an option of getting it done.

He was rather upset because the nurse that usually takes care of him is out on vacation and there weren't any other nurses available so he'll have to come back tomorrow morning. And of course that means that *I* will be waking up early tomorrow as well. Oh well, I've been wanting to get up earlier.

There was a distracting moment when I was plugging in the weight for the day in the spreadsheets. As today's weight is the exact same weight for the average for the month. It took me a little bit to make sure that I didn't type in something wrong. Not sure what that means mathematically. Does that mean today's weight didn't help with the average? It is considerably under the average for the year. And the average for the long count weigh ins. Probably another reason that you shouldn't be weighing yourself daily.

I was relieved to see that the Rent Check finally cleared. I'm thinking about starting to send it earlier. It is nice that there are a couple of Pay Checks that come through before the Rent clears, but I'm always holding my breath for those couple of weeks. The unfortunate thing is that I did the weekly transfers into the savings accounts last night, but I did the math a bit wrong on them. And I normally like to leave myself $100 and transfer the rest into savings. But this week I transferred all but $50. It should be fine. I have literally nothing that I need to buy. But it is still half of the allowance that I would like to have available. I could transfer back from savings, but doing that too often is a bad thing.

Cooking the recipe made me delay breakfast for a bit. It was closer to noon when I had “breakfast” but I usually have “Lunch” closer to 3 pm anyway.

Today was another day when the day just blazed on by. I came across a YouTube channel of a nuclear physicist doing reactions to other peoples videos on nuclear accidents.

It did take a bit to clean up after the recipe video from this morning. But it wasn't as hard as it looked. Cooking everything in one pan looked like it scorched the pan pretty good. But it all cleaned up really easily. For lunch I had the last of the Tootn' Chili that I made last night. There was enough in the pot for one good bowl full. The chili was left out all night so I hope it doesn't make me sick. So far so good on that though.

I tried to mess with the printer again today. But again the computer failed to send the files over the WIFI and the printer kept failing at 15% of the print. It took a while as each print went for about an hour before it failed. I did build up the courage to post a couple of threads on Reddit asking for help with the situation. I am really bad at asking for help with things. I'm really good at thinking of all of the horrible things that people can say in response to my questioning. It's a silly fear, but it does effect me. So far the only response is someone asking what software I'm using with it. And I'm using the same brand software that the printer is, so it doesn't make much sense to change to another brands software. But who knows maybe the other brand works better.

For dinner I was going to bake some of the Pollock that I have thawed out in my fridge, but dealing with the printer and building up courage to post on Reddit left be wanting something easy that I know will turn out fine. I feel silly writing that out but that's the closest way I have to describe it. I just hope I don't leave the fish in the fridge too long like I've done before. It really does start to smell funky if I forget the fish in the fridge
