Sure it is lower than the beginning of the month, and WAY lower than the beginning of the year. But come on, I want to go back to being under 300 lbs (136.1 kg). I did manage to post last night close to the 11pm goal that I want to do, but then I played with spreadsheets for a while after that. I was scolding myself that I posted early because I want to start reading in the evening, not give myself more time working with spreadsheets. But when I did finally get to the book I came to the realization that I probably shouldn't have tried restarting my reading hobby with a Victorian English novel. It was a quart to midnight and I'm trying to wrap my h...

Sober Year 1 (Day 534)
Keto Month 3 (Day 97) (147/365 Days 2026 Keto)

A bit down for today, annoyed that the weight jumps up but crawls down. It is good that the waist is down. It's been a while since it was that far down. I'm pretty sure that 51 inches is the record.

I worked 12 to 9 today so I had some extra time before work. When I woke up Step-Dad was already cooking sausage and eggs for breakfast. And as I was sitting around before work I started on the script for the next Store Story. These weekly scripted videos are going to be a serious grind. Props to the people who are able to get that done. But then again a good number of people who are successful on YouTube have massive teams behind them and I'm kind of a One-Man-Band.

As I worked later than I normally do I did have time to bake some bratwursts for lunch. I forgot to set a timer so I had to keep an eye on them and keep my mind on them so I wouldn't forget about them and burn them all.

Today was quite...slow. In the time keeping manner and in the fact that it really never got all that busy. It is still the first Weekend of the month so I was expecting the swarm to come in, but it never really did. I was supervisor the first half of the day and closed the desk for the second half. I was kind of nervous closing the desk as this was the first time I closed the desk with the new system where we just don't do half of the closing reports. It just feels wrong to leave so many lines on the closing report blank, but that's what they say that they want.

Had some trouble with the carryouts today. One kid was just chilling at the service desk, it was quite slow all day so I struggled to find things for him to do. But each time I would tell him to do anything, he'd half ass do part of it and then come back to the desk to chat with the guy at the desk. He got cranky at me when I told him that he couldn't take a break. He “worked” four hours, but I told him that no, he couldn't take a break from standing around talking.

The other kid had just determined that things just weren't his job. Before he left the manager told me that if anybody was standing around not doing anything have them straighten up the products in the frozen isles. He just declared that wasn't his job and refuse to do it. I was in the desk and not the supervisor so it wasn't to me to get kids to do their job. Later in the evening I told the kid that the bathroom was out of paper towels and the kid disappeared for 20 minutes, quite a long time to just change paper towels. Than later as I was getting off, the paper towels were still empty. So where the kid kept disappearing to is anybody's guess. Kid keeps saying that he wants to “climb the corporate ladder” but refuses to do the first rung. Sure the higher ups are useless idiots, but you're not going to get there by being a useless idiot.

The challenge of the day was to avoid buying any snacks or more soda today. I'm still under budget, I do want to avoid buying anymore of my money than I need to.

I got off later than Mom likes to stay up, Step-Dad was still up when I got home. I'm guessing to stay up to make sure I got home safely. I'm sure that they had already eaten so I baked a pork steak for myself. I didn't think I'd get the post done for this evening as I got off and ate late. I don't know if I'll tomorrow's post done as I get off even later.
