Still making rocking progress. I'm just gobsmacked that well “gobsmacked” is a recognized word and that I spelled it correctly on the first try, but on topic I had beaten the “short goal” again I'm not considering that goal “beaten” just yet as daily fluctuations can easily bring that above the 1/2 lb that I've passed that goal by.

I finished the “Daily Challenges” of the word match game that I've been spending WAY too much mental energy on. There's such an emptiness when I finish a game like this. It's never very satisfying. I'm not sure how to explain it it's just, “Okay, I'm done...now what.”

I did manage to redo the inventory before I had to go to work. It was a bit of a bear to get the stuff back into the freezer. I kept chuckling at the idea of entropy making randomness in a system. I think I said something like this before and somebody tried to argue that wasn't what entropy really was. Well, Entropy is chaos increasing in a system and the freezer was pretty darn chaotic trying to shove everything into it. Nonetheless it looks like I won't need to buy any meat for dinners for the next couple of weeks. That'll make the next weekly grocery shopping a bit cheaper.

I worked 12-7:30 today and those hours were short enough that I wasn't scheduled for the full hour lunch so I was going to have a half hour lunch. Having a half hour lunch doesn't give me enough time to run home to eat. I was going to take my lunch with me to work but didn't remember to grab my lunch until I had arrived at work. It wasn't long into the first half of the day when I started feeling really hungry. I felt weak and a bit light headed so I picked up a tube of cashews and a bottle of Powerade Zero. I felt fine for a while after eating/drinking those but a little bit later I started feeling hungry again. Thankfully I found some cashews on markdown. I don't know why they were on markdown as they didn't expire until October and they didn't seem to be damaged. I felt fine for the rest of the day after having the second package of cashews.

I picked up a package of Jalapeno Cheddar Smoked Sausages for lunch. I was going to grab a pack of the Dr Pepper flavored smoked sausages to see how they tasted, but they were a limited time deal and it looks like they were already out of stock. I forgot how those smoked sausages make my feet and knees hurt and after lunch it felt like my left foot had something chomping down on the back of my heel and my knees felt stiff. The first half of the day was the long half, but the second half felt longer. I picked up a Red Bull to keep going. 

I was going to try to pan-bake the steak again tonight, but I didn't feel like preheating the oven so I just cooked it in the pan. After I cooked it I was sure that it would have been quicker to bake it than to have cook it in the pan like I did. But the steak did come out rather nice. I'm pretty sure that it was right at medium well like I like it.
