I was going to put my entire statement to management on this post, but it had taken up the entire spot and I don't know if anybody would read all of that and read about today. Then again I don't know who would be interested these posts anyway.
The short version of it was a guy came into the store yesterday and asked about the Buy 2 Get 2 Free deal that we have on soda. I had explained to him that some of the sodas are Buy 2 Get 2 Free and other brands are Buy 2 Get 1 Free. He demanded to know what would happen if he were to buy a 24 case of soda. Well, the 24 cases of soda are on sale for $15.99 (This post is not sponsored or an advertisement) He insisted that he should be able to buy a 24 case of soda and get it half price because 12+12=24. He started up an argument because he didn't like that he couldn't get 24 cases of soda for free because he didn't want to buy 12 packs of soda. Well, that's not how the sale worked. And I do admit that I got a bit heated during the encounter the guy eventually stormed out after I asked if he spoke English...in Spanish. After he left a manager approached me and I admit that being approached by management after yelling at a customer really made me nervous. Particularly since I've been warned before about yelling at customers. But the manager just wanted to tell me that he wanted me to write a statement so they could ban the guy from the store. Just about every time this guy comes in he starts arguments. So that's one annoying guy who we'll never have to deal with again.
I didn't get a chance yesterday at work to sit down and write out everything that happened between me and that guy I didn't worry about it too much as I could go home write it out and print it with my printer at home. I got off at 8 last night and by the time I cooked dinner, cleaned up after myself and got everything written down it was coming up on 11:30 so I didn't have time to write out an entire post yesterday.
Another frustration was after I wrote out the statement the printer just said, “nope” A little while ago I mentioned that the printer wasn't working very well, but last night it just wouldn't turn on. So I decided I'd have to go to the store today to re-write the entire statement. Roommate asked me why I didn't just email the document to the managers. Well, 1. I don't know the managers Email. Everybody has a work email, I have one. But I don't know it I just know that when I log into the computer at work I can access it. I sure as heck don't know the managers email address. And 2. I'm pretty sure that the store's email system is on an intranet not the internet. So I don't think that you could receive emails from exterior account.
After rewriting the statement and printing it off at the store I went ahead and did the weekly grocery shopping. I got the stuff to make Low Carb Jambalaya.
While I was out I went ahead and set up an appointment to get the oil changed on my car. The tag on the windshield says that it isn't due until mid-April there is a notification coming up on the board saying that it is due so I should probably get that taken care of. There isn't any other lights or notifications coming up on the car and I would really appreciate it if it stayed that way. It was just about this time last year that the oil pressure sensor broke on my car and that (if you'll forgive the language) really fucked up my shit. It was a $454 repair that I couldn't recover from until October. The oil change appointment isn't until next Monday, but at least that will get done.
Finally got around to making that pot of Basic Chili that I got the stuff to make last week. It really is easy to set up, just brown the meat and put everything in the slow cooker but everyday over the last week I just couldn't get things together before I had to get to work.
I did have a lot of energy today and was getting frustrated at all of the stuff on my desk so I finally cleaned off my desk. And I finally cleaned out the cabinets in the kitchen. I was finding spices that had expired back in 2022. I'm not sure what was more upsetting. That I had stuff in my cabinet that expired four years ago, or that 2022 was four years ago. I'm going to try to clean up the house a bit more tomorrow. I'm in the kind of Spring Cleaning sort of mood.
