Sill under the “Morbid Obese” so still making progress. What was exciting was that my waist was at 52 inches (132.1 cm) I'm pretty sure that's the lowest waistline that I've recorded on here. In Mom's Laundry room there is a rack of stuff that blocked off the breaker panel and as the plumber was scheduled to come out this morning we had to get the stuff off of the rack to move that rack so he could turn off the breaker to the water well. Right after we moved everything off of the rack and she cleaned the laundry room the plumber called and said that he had a family emergency and will try to come out tomorrow. While Mom was...

As last night was St Patrick's Day Roommate had me take him over to the liquor store so he could pick up a bottle of whiskey. Has he was quite intoxicated he went to bed before I did. I saw his bottle of Jack sitting on the counter top. It did take quite a bit of self control to not snag a drink or two. The voice in the back of the mind saying, “Go ahead. You don't have to tell anybody. Just fill up the bottom half of a small glass. He wouldn't miss a small glass full.” But I knew that if I had some I wouldn't just have some. That's not how I drink. If there is any left, there wouldn't be any left.

As he went to bed before I did yesterday he woke up before I did this morning so no video recording again today.

The weight today is up from yesterday. A bit disappointing to be sure, but day to day fluctuations happen. But at least I can achieve that “progress goal”. And it is common to have a weight spike the day after eating corned beef.

Pretty boring day at work today. Was a carryout for the first half of the day and was working the desk for the second half. I was a bit nervous to work the desk this evening as on Monday they had installed a new Money Order/Bill Pay/Money Transfer system and I was off on Monday and Tuesday so I wasn't sure what all changed in the new system. It mainly looks like it's mostly a visual update. But on the money orders they're input into the computer instead of into a panel on the printer itself so it's a bit easier to type in money orders as it has the interface as a regular keyboard instead of the little panel on top of the money order printer. An annoyance is that there is only one money order printer so if both of the customer service people are wanting to ring up money orders it is a bit slower as the previous system you could get the payment for the money order and go to the printer and print it off. But the new system you have to input the money order...order into the computer, print off a bar code, and then print the money order. So one person has to wait for the other person to input the money orders, get the payment, and then print them off before the first person could input their money orders. And there are two computers but the new system has a signing pad where people sign for money transfers so they can only do money transfers from the computer on the front computer. And only the back computer is connected to the money order printer. It wasn't until I was writing this out that I wondered why there wasn't any kind of network across the computers to the money order printer.

After work I ran by Mom's house to talk to her about moving in with her. I'm afraid that I was more explaining my frustrations with the situation that I'm going through with here at my house than I was listening to her solutions of moving in with her. She was encouraging me to switch doctors to try to find one that would prescribe a GLP-1 medication. I don't know about those. Still waiting for the “Law of Unintended Consequences” on that one. I can just imagine future commercials, “Did you or a loved one use a GLP-1 medication and now have one of these dozen different kinds of cancer call our lawyers now!”

When I got home Roommate wasn't awake so I baked a Ham Steak for myself. As it baked he came downstairs complaining about how much he hates everything. I don't know if I had woken him up with the smell of the baking Ham. But I told myself that I'm not going to tip-toe around my own home because he was already in bed by 9 pm.

But a kind of good news on the water bill it had updated on their site. On Friday they had sent somebody by to tell us that the water usage was up 6x I knew it was going to be up because the float valve was busted for the entire month. But when I checked the bill it was "only" three times the usual price. I don't know if there's some sort of averaging out of the bills like the other utilities have. But it being $184 is a WHOLE LOT better than the $300+ that I was expecting it to be. I'm still annoyed at Roommate for waiting for so long to get it fixed.
